Flashback,

Next morning, Ram left for Mumbai informing the helper even before Priya got up from her sleep.

He entered his house when KK stopped him. Kk did not look happy.

"One minute Ram, we need to talk." said KK as she stopped Ram. She was worried and clearly not happy with Ram's behavior.

"I know maa, what you want to say." Ram said.

"Good, so can you tell me what's going on with you? From the last 3-4 months you are not coming home properly. Now you are coming back home after 20 days. I need to know the truth Ram. What is keeping you away from home?" asked Krishna sternly. Ram was trapped. Natasha also came down from her room hearing their voices.

He heaved a big sigh and said "You want to know the truth then let me tell you the truth. Listen carefully, very soon a new member is arriving into the house."

Natasha & Krishna become puzzled and look at each other.

"What are you saying Ram? I don't quite understand what you are talking about." Krishna asked her son unsure of what he said.

"Maa, my baby is coming to this world very soon. I already told you about this. All procedures are done and now the lady is pregnant with my baby. Right now, she is in Pune and I go there so that I can be near my child during the pregnancy period. I don't want to miss out on any phase of my child." Ram finally told them the truth behind his absence at home.

KK and Natasha are stunned hearing his words. KK felt like ground slipping under her feet. Her heart began to feel heavy. She stumbled and Natasha held her on time before fall.

Ram expected this kind of reaction from his family before he decided to tell them the truth.

Silence prevailed in the room for a couple of minutes, Natasha helped KK to sit on the sofa.

"Ram, do you know what you have done? Did you think about us before taking this huge step? I am ashamed of you Ram." Kk said outraged.

"Have you thought about what people might say about us? They will laugh at us. And when the baby enters this world, he/she will not have a mother figure in life. What you have done is entirely wrong, Ram." Said KK as tears rolled down her cheek. "You shouldn't have done this." KK repeated these words.

"No maa, I did not do anything wrong." Ram disagreed. KK shook her head in disbelief.

"Who is that girl?" asked Krishna emotionally.

"She is a donor and I have made a contract with her. After delivery the doctor will hand over the baby to us." Ram does not want to reveal Priya's name.

Krishna was broken with Ram's deeds.

"I have an important meeting and I am already running late. I have to get ready and leave for the office." saying this Ram went to his room.

After some time, Natasha entered Ram's room.

"Now you must also have something to say, are you here to give me a lecture." said Ram smirking at her.

"No bhai, that's your personal matter. I came here to know about Priya." Natasha said.

"Priya? What do you want to know about her? And why are you asking me, how would I know?" replied Ram a little frantic but trying to act normal.

"Bhai, I don't know where Priya is? She has suddenly disappeared. Her phone is switched off too. I'm worried about her Bhai." said Natasha in a tensed voice.

"Chotti, why are you thinking about her, she is just your tutor? She finished her classes and left." Ram said casually trying to convince Natasha.

"Yes, bhai she is my tutor but she is also my friend. I am worried Bhai, at least she could answer my calls, right? I am afraid she is in some sort of problem." said Natasha fretfully. Ram noticed the concern on her face and he knew he could not convince her just with words.

Ram kept his hand over her shoulder. "Ok, I will meet her parents. You don't have to worry a thing about her." Ram assured Natasha.

"No, bhai, they are not ready to say anything. They are definitely hiding something." Said Natasha with distress.

"Relax Natasha, I will meet them. Don't worry." Ram hugged Natasha and pacified her. Natasha nodded her head in agreement.

"Ok, tell me, how's your studies going on?" Ram asked and changed the subject.

"Good." Natasha said casually.

"Perfect. When are your exams?" asked Ram further.

"Next month." answered Natasha. Ram was successful in distracting Natasha.

"Ok, bhai I'm leaving. My friends are waiting for me." Natasha said and left.

Though Ram somehow managed Maa and Natasha but he knew that he had to say something about Priya before Natasha found out the truth.

In Pune, Priya was in her 5th month pregnancy.

It was a good time at the office for Priya, she joined recently and doing her job exceptionally well. While she was working on her laptop to complete a report, her manager Ved Sexena came and sat beside her. Ved was a cheerful and outgoing person.

"Its 7:00 o'clock already, everyone left the office. Don't you want to go home Ms Sharma?" asked Ved reaching to Priya's cabin.

"Yes sir, but I need to finish this report today itself." replied Priya still fixating her eyes on the screen.

"How many times do I tell you Priya, don't call me sir?" sulked Ved.

Priya turned her gaze from laptop to Ved. "And how many times do I have to tell you Ved to stop flirting with me?" said Priya as she raised her brows.

"What's wrong in trying my luck?" Ved defended himself.

Ved always tries to chat with Priya some or the other way. He really liked her since the time she had joined the office.

"How dare you, Ved? How can you flirt with your co-employee?" Priya scoffed.

"Listen, you are single and would-be a single mom; I know, right? That means nobody is there in your life currently. So basically, I can flirt with you and who knows I can make you fall in love with me head over heels." Ved winked at her.

Priya gave an unbelievable look and said "Forget it. It's never going to happen so stop trying." Priya smirked.

"I will never give up!" Ved said proudly.

"Tell me one thing, how many girls have you flirted with so far?" asked Priya playfully.

"I will be honest with you. You are the fifth one." Said Ved with a huge grin. Ved and Priya laughed. Priya never took him seriously as he was like this with her from the beginning. Because of Ved and his nonstop talk, she forgets her stress in her work and life.

"So ma'am, if your work is completed, can we go for a coffee?" offered Ved.

"Sure, just give me 15 more minutes." said Priya.

Ved scrunched his brows and closed the laptop. Priya frowned at him. "What are you doing, Ved?"

"You can complete your work tomorrow." Said Ved with a smirk.

"You are impossible, Ved." Priya rolled her eyes.

Days's passed Ram did not visit Pune. He was stuck with some official dealing. Ram called Priya regularly to check on her health.

One day Ram called Priya and she answered the call. Ram heard loud music and people talking in the background.

He immediately checks the time and asks "Priya, are you not at home this time?"

"Mr Kapoor, actually I am at the birthday party of my colleague." answered Priya.

"Oh!" said Ram simply as he was not happy with what Priya said.

At that moment Ved came near Priya.

"Priya, what are you doing here. Come and join us." Ved said dragging her along with him.

Hearing the male voice Ram become attentive. Before he asked anything to Priya. "I got to go, bye." Priya cut the call abruptly.

"Who is that man?" said Ram suspiciously.

"Come let's dance, Priya." Ved told. Priya scrunched her brows.

"Really, Ved? I'm pregnant." Priya frowned. Ved rolled his eyes.

"Ohh really, I didn't know that." Said Ved sarcastically. "Of course, I know you are pregnant. Trust me I will not let anything happen to you." said Ved with a gentle smile.

Priya glared at him but Ved took Priya to the dance floor. They danced together and had fun at the party before Ved dropped Priya home.

One day, Priya woke up in the morning. She felt a sharp pain in the stomach.

"Sunita!!!" Priya screamed for help.

Sunita came to the room running. "What happened, madam?"

"Sunita, give me my mobile. I am having pain." Priya said in a huffing voice. Priya thought of calling Ram but changed her decision as he's in Mumbai.

Priya then dialed Ved's number.

"I need to go to hospital." Priya asked for help in frantic pain.

"Don't worry Priya, I'll arrive in fifteen minutes. Stay calm." Said Ved as he assured Priya. He hurried to her place without wasting any moment.

"Sunita, give me my dress, it's in the cupboard." said Priya and Sunita helped her to change the dress.

Ved took Priya to the hospital. Priya was in the Doctor's cabin and Ved waited outside the room. Priya does as instructed by the doctor. She lay on the bench and the doctor thoroughly checked Priya.

"Did you lift anything heavy or work too much?" the doctor asked Priya while examining her.

"No, Doctor nothing." Responded Priya.

"Ok, Now, I will check your uterus. You will feel a little pain but will be fine in a while".

Priya becomes nervous.

"Where is Mr. Kapoor?" asked Doctor

"He left for Mumbai for some official work." Priya said.

"Is anybody with you?" the doctor asked and put on gloves.

"My friend took me here." Priya replied.

The doctor did the check-up thoroughly. During the process, Priya was afraid the whole time if something had happened.

"Priya, nothing to worry, everything is fine. I'm prescribing you some medicine which you have to take till delivery. Take proper rest." assured the doctor.

"Thanks, Ved." Said Priya as she stepped out of the cabin.

"Can I ask you something, Priya?" asked Ved. He looked curious to know about something. Priya quickly understood what he was about to ask.

"I know what you want to ask but, please Ved don't ask me anything now." Priya interrupted him. Ved remained quiet agreeing to what Priya asked.

Priya took her mobile from the bag. She saw a few missed calls from Ram. Upon reaching home she called back Ram.

As soon as Ram attended the call, he asked her about the checkup. Priya understood that Sunita told everything to Ram.

"Ram, I am fine. Doctor has prescribed me some medicine and advised me to take some rest. That's it and it's normal during pregnancy." said Priya.

"Who took you to the doctor?" Ram questioned her.

"Ved, my colleague cum friend." answered Priya casually.

"Oh okay, take rest. I will come tomorrow." said Ram before hanging up the call. He thought about Ved for a minute but shrugged off his thoughts.

Ram reached Pune the next day evening.

Priya was at the office when he arrived home. Soon it was late evening and still there was no sign of Priya. Ram became anxious and called Priya.

"Where are you Priya? Do you know from how long I've been waiting for you?" asked Ram impatiently.

"I thought you would come in the night. Are you home, already?" Priya asked, raising her brows. "Actually, I'm at my friend's house. It will take me an hour to reach home." informed Priya casually.

"Send me the address, I will come and pick you up." said Ram as he was not pleased with Priya.

"No need Ram, my friend will drop me home" Priya denied instantly and cut the call.

Ram was annoyed and gritted his teeth with changes in Priya's behavior lately.

After an hour or so Ram saw a car stopped in front of the gate. Priya came out from the car. Soon a man came out of the car, moving towards Priya. Ram watched them keenly while knotting his brows, it seemed to him that they are very casual with each other as they chatted and giggled for some time.

Ram gasped in horror and clenched his fist on the window railing as that man side-hugged Priya before they bid bye to each other. Priya seemed to be very comfortable with that guy.

For the first time, Ram felt a jolt of anger running inside him. He felt a tinge of jealousy seeming them together smiling and giggling with each other.
