Chapter 21

A couple days have pass and I haven't seen nor spoken to Skylar until we had Dick his class just some minutes ago.

But even in class, we still wouldn't talk to each other and it was slowly killing me from my insides. There was a dark nagging feeling in my chest that I couldn't get rid off, my thoughts kept clouding in my head and I couldn't sleep. Something inside of me was begging and screaming for me to talk with him.

I couldn't get the pretty boy out of my freaking mind ever since he started to ignore my existence.

Currently I was walking around the hallways towards my locker, but all of a sudden I stopped walking as my eyes widened in utterly shock. My heart stammered against my chest and my breath caught in my throat once I saw Skylar laying on the floor.

All covered in blood.

"Sky?!" I yelled out loud and ran to him, I got down to my knees and softly pulled him against my chest.

I gulped as I watched his terrible state. His eyes were closed and he looked almost dead.

"Hey Sky? Baby open your eyes, I'm right here" I tried to keep him awake as I couldn't shake off the worry for him.

"C-Cam?" His voice broke as he slowly opened his eyes to look at me, but he flinched from the pain that he was suffering from right now.

The guilt erupted when our eyes locked. Purple and red bruises danced around his light skin, oceanic eyes and soft cheeks. Blood trickled from out of his deep wounds. He looked exhausted with those dark heavy bags under his eyes and I wanted nothing more than to comfort him. I bit my lip as I watched my boy.

I could have prevented this. It's my fault.

"Shht.. I will take you home okay?" My arms wrapped around his waist and I gently lifted him up, I couldn't deny the tingles that spread over my body.

I dragged him towards my car and put him in the passenger seat as careful as I could. I instantly rushed to the other side, got in and started driving like a madman when I saw him struggling with keeping his eyes open.

"Please.. Just hold on Sky" I murmured under my breath while I used more gas.

Once we arrived, I carried him to the bathroom and made him sit on the cabinet. I searched through all his drawers and eventually found the emergency kit.

"Okay this is going to hurt a little.." I told him and softly put a cotton with alcohol on his wounds.

Soft moans and hisses trailed with pain left his mouth which made me feel even more bad about all of this. I wanted to hurt him as less as I could, yet I knew I couldn't do that. I stopped and gave him a pain killer.

"How did this happen?" I mumbled thoughtful and continued treating his bruises.

"I-" My eyes found his and I could see the hesitation in his eyes.

What the hell happened to my boy?!

"Please tell me" I stopped with cleaning his bruises, cupped his cheeks and caressed them instead so I could ease him.

A delicate smile played on his lips and his cheeks caught a light pink color. The view of him made my heart skip a beat.

So damn beautiful.

"T-Tyler and J-Jesse.. They wanted to g-give me p-payback for the l-last time.." He whispered, as if they broke all of the confidence in him down to the ground.

Anger and rage intruded my body, my jaw clenched tightly and I could feel my hands shake from the rushing adrenaline. I was ready for a blood bath, if only I had a freaking brick.

"I will kill them.." I growled low as I inspected the damage on his face.

"N-n-no!" He panicked. "D-Don't, t-they will g-go after me!" Tears were visible in his eyes.

Seeing him like this broke my heart in ways that you couldn't imagine. Skylar looked so anxious, broken and tired. They really beat him in the worst way ever.

"Sky.. Listen.." I grabbed his warm hands in mine. "I promise to you, I won't let them hurt you again" I said determined to protect him at all cost.

And I meant it, I wasn't done with those two dumbasses yet.

"Cam.." He whimpered soft and let me drown in those sweet ocean eyes that were being filled with tears.

Before I knew it I leaned in, you could feel the heating passionate atmosphere between us and I was almost on the edge of touching him in ways that I knew I wasn't supposed to.

But in that moment I couldn't care less.

When I almost touched his lips, reality hit me in the face and I pulled away from him as fast as I couldn't.

What the fuck was I doing?! I shouldn't be doing this! I didn't like boys!

"Uh.. Let's do Dick his assignment.." I coughed awkwardly and broke any eye contact so I couldn't see the sadness in his face.

"Okay.." He muttered and walked away from me, giving me the cold shoulder.

I probably deserved that for leading him on like that. I wasn't into him and hopefully he knew that now.

A sigh left my lips as I walked right after him to his living room, he already grabbed a game called 'Twister'.

"Are you sure you can do that? Your body must be aching" I frowned and took the game in my hands.

"No it's fine, the medicines are starting to work" He smiled a bit to reassure me.

I nodded and put everything ready on the floor with him.

"Do you know how it works?" Skylar asked when we finished.

"Of course I do! This is everyone's childhood" I grinned excited.

"Oh so it's your guilty pleasure huh?" Skylar smirked and laughed soft.

This time I couldn't be annoyed with him. He was way too adorable and it made me feel good that he smiled again.

"Okay let's start" I smirked and used the spinner.

"Left hand on red" I spoke up and we continued like that, doing what the spinner told us to.

"Right feet on green"

"Left feet on green"

"Left feet on yellow"

"Right hand on blue"

"Right feet on red"

"Left hand on yellow"

We were tangled into each other while both of us were laughing our smiles off. This was actually amusing and funny to do especially since this was something from my childhood.

"Oh you are so gonna lose!" I smirked at Skylar.

"Ha! In your dreams!" He replied, but suddenly lost his balance and making both of us fall.

My eyes widen and I made us turn around so he would fall on top of me; not causing him any more pain. We looked at one another and started to laugh out loud at what just happened.

Not later after that his laugh suddenly died down as his blue eyes found its way into my brown ones. A couple of his platinum blonde strands fell over his face as he bit his red full lip. We were having a staring contest and this closeness between us felt immense good.

I could feel my heart beat faster as I watched him, the lovingly warm feelings inside of were bursting out and in that moment I did something that I thought was right to do.

I kissed him.
