"MIA, YOU HAVE BEEN real quiet ever since you got accepted for the job. Are you okay?" Ryujin asks in concern when both of us are hanging out in my dorm room.
Graduation is two weeks away and I'm not ready to leave yet. Let alone graduation, I'm going to get married in a few days but my best friend still doesn't know about it. I feel bad for not telling her.
"I don't know if I should tell you this.." I trail off, remorse voiding my chest.
"Then why can't you tell me? You promise that you'll tell me everything," she whines as hurt flashes across her face.
"I just.. can't tell you,"
"Wait, perhaps, are you dating someone?" she assumes and I shake my head.
"No," I reply flatly.
"Really, then why do you have that Chanel handbag? You never told me who is it from," she questions curiously and locks her eyes over the Chanel handbag hooks against my dresser.
I purse my lip, biting my inside cheeks. "Before you start, I got it as a birthday present fro—"
"Is it Taehyung?" she abruptly cuts me off, which causes my eyes to widen at her guess. She then gasps when I don't say anything to deny. "Oh my god, are you guys dating?"
"No, course not! If I'm dating him, you'll be the first to know," I excuse with a reasonable answer. Little did she know...
She huffs, sending me a glare. "Fine, I believe you but does Jungkook know about this?"
I only shake my head. Before I could respond further, click sound is heard as the door knob turns, a head peeking in between the door frame. It is my roommate, Hayoung.
"Hi, guys!" she cheerfully greets with a smile.
"Hayoung! You just finished with your classes?"
"No, I just came back to pick up this," she moves towards her desk table and retrieves a book on top of it. "What were you guys doing?"
It has been three years since we were roommates. I have quite known her to be very smart and determined. She studies most of the time in the library until at night, which always leaves me alone in our small dorm.
"We were just talking," Ryujin shrugs.
"Cool, I'll see you guys later," she replies bluntly before she walks out the door.
As soon as the room becomes silent, my phone suddenly rings inside my pocket. Without looking at the caller ID, I press the green button to answer.
"Hello?"
"Mia, hi! I'm free at the moment. I was wondering if we could go to the boutique to try on wedding clothes?" Taehyung's voice asks carefully on the other line.
I immediately grin. Last time I saw him was when he dropped me off at campus two weeks ago. Hearing that he wanted to meet for this valid excuse has never sounded so promising. I was supposed to go with my mother but my parents went back to Busan to check on my younger siblings before bringing them along here for the wedding.
"Absolutely, of course," I answer hastily.
"Great! I'll see you in 10,"
After he hangs up, I get off the phone unknowingly while smiling.
"And you tell me, you're not dating?" Ryujin's loud voice startles me. She squints her eyes as she tries to read my facial expression. "Mia, you like him, don't you?"
"Wh- how do you know it's him? What if it was my mom?" I provoke in my defense but it seems like she doesn't believe it.
"Oh, please. You're my best friend. You think I don't know you?" she says, rolling her eyes.
"I'm not dating him. Anyway, I have somewhere to go."
"And where would you two will be?" she peers with a teasing grin.
I ignore her as I look at myself in the mirror for a quick touchup. "I'll be back probably in the evening. See you later," I mutter and grab onto my bag before going through the door.
"Fine, you won't tell me. Have fun with your secret boyfriend!" she hollers playfully and I roll my eyes as I propelled out of the campus.

It was a pretty long drive to the boutique as silence sparked between us. I could say the two weeks had made an impact on my communication skills because I was too nervous to even look at him.
His hair has gotten a little longer but his beauty remains unfazed. He drapes in a white suit for today and without doubt, he is the finest man I've ever laid my eyes on.
Viewing outside of the building, I can tell it is going to be a fancy place. Once we stepped inside the boutique, my mouth agape opened in awe. The whole bridal boutique is themed with appropriate colours that suit with the wide range of wedding dresses.
A woman politely greets when she watches us coming in. "Hello, welcome to Jung's Boutique! How may we help you?"
"Hello, there was a request for a bride's gown under the name, Mrs. Kim two weeks ago. Could you maybe show us the dress?" Taehyung responds calmly.
The woman nods immediately, knowing what Taehyung is referring to. "Right, yes. I called her this morning to inform about the dress. I guess you're her son?"
"Yes, I am and this is my fiancé," Taehyung announces and pulls me by the waist. My breath hitches when he drags me closer, causing nonexistent space in between.
"Oh, hello, you must be Mia Lee?" she asks carefully with a pretty smile turns up against her lips.
"Yes," I smile awkwardly due to being so close with the man beside me.
"You're beautiful and I know that dress will absolutely looks amazing on you. Here, follow me. I'll show you the dress," she compliments, making me blush slightly.
Walking side by side, both of us trail behind her until we find ourselves standing in a huge fitting room. There is a stunning long dress display in the middle, and a couch sitting at the corner of the room.
"Here is your wedding dress as you requested. We tried our very best to fulfill your expectation and we hope you love it," she says, reaching over to the side and grab onto the wedding gown.
I blink my eyes softly at the vision before me. It is a beautiful white long sleeve dress, flowing with laces all the way down.
"Try it on, miss," the woman requires, handing it over towards me.
I hesitate to take it, still couldn't believe I'm wearing this on my wedding next week.
"Go on, darling. I'll be waiting outside," Taehyung whispers lowly. With a gentle push, he grins and nods his head in assurance.
"B-but what about you? Where's your suit?" I ask him.
"For the gentleman, your suit was prepared earlier so it's on the other side of the room. Let me show it to you," the woman replies, nodding his head at Taehyung.
"I'll be right back," Taehyung informs swiftly before he follows the woman.
When they are out of sight, I quickly stand onto the platform and pull the curtain surrounding me to cover myself. I put on the gown but halfway, I struggle to zip up the dress. Thankfully, my hand is long enough to stretch it all the way up.
I sigh and examine myself at the huge mirror. The dress looks plainly simple but elegant as it fits perfectly on my curves. I really love how it doesn't show any cleavage on either sides of my body.
"Are you okay in there, darling? Do you need a hand?" Taehyung deeply calls, making my heart starts to pump with anxiety. Will he like it? Do I look beautiful in this? Wait, why do I care?
Not saying a word to reciprocate, I turn and shove the curtain sideways. I bite on my bottom lip harshly, nervous to watch his reaction.
He rests on the couch with his black dress shirt and suit that looks very handsome on him. Looking up at me, his eyes widen a little before glancing up and down over my dress. He is staring at me longingly and I clear my throat, causing him to blink in realisation.
"Sorry, um.. wow, you look.. pretty," he shyly admits, his cheeks turning red.
My stomach swarming with butterflies and I gulp nervously as I look at him. "Really?"
"Yes, really," he grins softly.
"You look stunning, Miss Mia! Both of you are. Would you mind if I take a picture of you two for reference?" The woman suddenly queers and pushes both of us together to stand in the middle of the room after Taehyung nods in agreement.
My heart accelerates when his arm gently wraps around my waist. With a digital camera against her hold, she clicks onto the button as it shutters off briefly.
"Thank you! I'll be sure to place this picture inside our gallery. So I guess there's no changes, right?" she asks and Taehyung shakes his head. "Great, then good luck on your wedding! Thank you for choosing our boutique,"
After changing back to our normal clothes, we both walk outside after greeting the workers goodbye. Taehyung, being the perfect gentleman volunteers to carry the paper bags with our clothes as we move to his car.
"Oh my god, Taehyung? Is that you?" A soft female voice interjects and both of us turn around to see a young woman.
I look over Taehyung, only to see that his body becomes tense.
"Haera?" his voice blurts out in a slight shock.
The woman saunters closer to us and chuckles. "Yes! It's been so long, Taehyung. How have you been?"
The identity of woman is still a mystery but I keep quiet and watch them talking before the woman finally notices my presence.
"Oh, who's this? Your girlfriend?" she retorts and grins teasingly.
"This is my fiancé, Mia," Taehyung mutters and brings me closer to him. "Mia, this is my friend, Haera,"
"Friend? Are you sure?" she lifts an eyebrow with a smirk across her face. "I know you liked me in high school, Taehyung,"
I widen my eyes, surprised by the new information. So this is the girl that he told me.. She is very beautiful.
"H-how did you know?" Taehyung stutters, mirroring the same expression as mine.
"You were pretty low-key but I've always known you had a crush on me," she giggles before glancing at me. "You're lucky to have him. He's a keeper," she whispers the last part to me while covering the side part of her mouth.
"Anyway, it's good running into you here. Congratulations on your engagement. When is the wedding?" she asks, and I couldn't help but a little irritated.
"Next week, but it's only between families," Taehyung answers.
"Ah, that's a shame, but I hope it goes well! Congratulations, Taehyung and you too, Mia," she charmingly says before scampering off to the other way after saying goodbye.
The atmosphere turns into a complete silence. Before one of us could speak up, my heart drops when my eyes fall upon my best friends, Ryujin and Jungkook a few feets apart from where we're standing.
"Why did I just witnessed you coming out from the bridal boutique? And what's with with these bags? Are you guys eloping?"
Crap.
