Three months later...
Mitch and Scott were in their way to find out if their kids were gonna be two baby boy, which Mitch secretly hoped for, or two baby girls, which Scott secretly hoped for...but Mitch could read his mind so it wasn't much of a secret.
They pulled up and Scott got out to open the door for his husband. Mitch got out of the car carefully so he wouldn't hit his large baby belly. Scott closed the door behind him and held his hand as they walked into the hospital together. After waiting for about ten minutes, which isn't very long for a doctors visit(talk about a world record), the doctor brought them to his office and asked Mitch to lye down on the table.
"So, Mitchell, how far along are you?" The doctor said, pulling out a clipboard.
"Three months." Mitch replied.
"Have you been feeling nauseous, light headed, queazy?"
"No, I don't know what all the fuss was about. I haven't been suffering at all. Not throwing up all of my insides or anything."
"That's marvelous."
"I guess."
"Now, you wanted to determine the gender of the child?"
"That's correct."
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I'll grab some gloves and we can get started." The doctor said putting on some gloves and putting a blue gel onto his hand.
"Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, sub zero, frozen, Elsa, LET IT GO!" Mitch said referencing everything cold he could think of as the doctor applied the gel to his bare stomach.
"Now for the fun part." The doctor said as he pulled out a wand and plugging it in. Once the blue lights shun from it he hovered it over Mitch's gelled stomach.
"Oh, you seem to be having twins."
"What?" Scott said pretending to be surprised and happy from hearing he was having two bundles of joy. The happiness being real.
"And the genders are, one boy and one girl." The doctor told them and both Scott and Mitch smiled. The doctor used a warm towel to wipe the gel off of Mitch's stomach and helped him off of the table.
"Thank you so much doctor." Mitch said giving him a warm hug before leaving with Scott to the car.
Two months later...
Mitch was lying down while Scott was cooing to the babies when he felt a strong kick.
"Oh god, Scott! One of them kicked!" Mitch shouted excitedly. Scott gently rubbed the large tummy and felt a swift and stronger kick hit his hand.
"Oh My God. I'm so obsessed!"
"I can't wait to meet them in four months."
"Neither can I." Scott said, standing up, extending his hand to help Mitch up and walking from their room to the nursery.
"Do you think they'll like it?" Mitch said, looking up to Scott.
"They'll love it." Scott said kissing his forehead.
"I wonder what powers they'll get." Mitch said to himself.
"They'll be fine. They probably won't even get their powers until their kids."
"I sure hope so." Mitch said before walking into his room with his husband following closely behind.
Four Months Later...
Scott and Mitch were talking in the kitchen when Mitch's water broke.
"Oh shit. I'm going into labor." Mitch said looking up to Scott.
"Oh shit. Okay, let me just grab the keys and we'll go." Scott said as he grabbed Mitch's hand and lifted his free hand to being the keys to him. Once they got the care they headed directly for the hospital.
Mitch was rushed to the E.R. on a gurney while holding Scott's hand. They doctor handed Scott a mask and a large blue shirt.
Once Mitch was changed into the the hospital clothes and was given extreme attention. Scott was holding his hand the entire time, whispering comforting words into his ear.
"You're doing great sweetie. Just breathe and stay calm." Scott cooed. Mitch breathed evenly and relaxed as much as possible.
"Okay, Mr. Grassi-Hoying. We need you to push as hard as you can. Okay?" The doctor said as he got into the catching position. Mitch nodded and took a deep breathe before pushing with all his might.
"I can see the head." The doctor shouted. Mitch pushed harder one more time before the entire room was filled with a baby crying.
"Gender, male. Date of Birth, May 15, 2016. Weight, 10 pounds. Time of birth, 10:37 a.m." The doctor told the nurse.
Scott caressed Mitch's cheek and smiled.
"You did it baby. You brought our first child into the world. " Scott cooed into Mitch's ear. Mitch smiled and looked over at the doctors who were cleaning the baby.
"Okay, Mr.Grassi-Hoying, we need to to push two more time. Two very big pushes." The doctor said, getting back into catching position.
"Okay." Mitch gripped Scott's hand as hard as he could as he pushed with every fiber into he being. The doctor held the baby but it wasn't crying. He gave it a hard smack on the bottom and the room filled with crying.
"Gender, female. Date of Birth, May 15, 2016. Weight, 7 pounds. Time of birth, 10:45 a.m." The doctor said to the nurse. After they cleaned the babies, the doctor asked them what the parents wanted to name them.
"Kendall Kaden Grassi-Hoying and Violet Ann Grassi-Hoying." Mitch said as he remembered the names Kirstie suggested. The doctor wrote them down and gave the couple two beautiful crying babies. Mitch pouted as he held them and started to sing to them.
(To be read in the same rhythm as 'Light in the Hallway')
Don't cry my little angel
Listen to mommy's voice
I am here for you always
Loving you inside and out
No matter how bad things get for you
Just know mommy's here
I will always be here for you
That's one thing that's clear
Scott joined in.
Well be here for you always
No matter if the skies are blue or gray
Just hear my voice and know it's okay
You're never alone
Your heart is your home
My baby
The babies stopped crying and looked up at their parents, exposing their deep blue eyes. Both of them were smiling.
Scott and Mitch spent the entire day cooing at the twins.
Taking the twins home...
Mitch and Scott carried the twins into their home and immediately walked into the kitchen to give them a bath.
Ken and Violet played in the bubbles and Violet blew bubbles at Ken once. The two had a bubble off and Violet won. Scott captured the entire moment on his phone.
After drying them off and putting them into pajamas, Scott and Mitch fed the twins and put them to bed.
The couple went to sleep soundly wth smiles plastered onto their faces.

Loving it
