It was the day before Easter, Rapunzel, Cassandra, Y/n, Eugene, Lance, and Varian were all dying eggs together in Varian's lab. He had made some chemicals that could dye the eggs, so he put all the chemicals in beakers and now they were all dying eggs.

"Hey Eugene! I bet my egg looks better than yours!" Cassandra said. Eugene got very offended.

"No it doesn't! I'm only making my egg look like the most handsome thing I know, myself. It can't look worse than yours!" Eugene shot back.

"Oh stop it you two! We're supposed to be spending time with each other! Not bickering!" Rapunzel said.

"Yea, why can't you two get along like Varian and Y/n?" Lance said, pointing to Varian and Y/n, they were creating new egg dying chemicals together, if you didn't know the two of them well, you could've mistaken them for lovers, they're just close friends.

"Maybe not as close as them-" Lance added.

"Blegh.. I don't think I'd ever be as close to someone as those two are," Cassandra said.

"Aw come on you guys! It's cute how close they are! They're inseparable! They're like two puzzle pieces, you can't have one without the other." Rapunzel said, fawning over their friendship. Eugene and Cassandra weren't amused.

{Time Skip}

Y/n and Rapunzel were walking down the hallway of the castle to give the eggs they dyed to the King and Queen.

"So.. Y/n. What do you think of Varian?" Rapunzel asked.

"Well I think he's the best friend I could ever have," Y/n said.

"Do you have any feelings towards him?" Rapunzel asked.

"Yea.. he's so cute when he's working on experiments!" Y/n said.

"You two are so cute together!" Rapunzel said.

"You really think so?" Y/n asked.

"Yes!" Rapunzel said.

{Time Skip}

It was Easter morning and Y/n was getting dressed for the egg hunt that will be held in an hour. She just heard a knock on her door after she had finished putting on her dress.

"Who is it?" She called out, walking to the door. No one responded, she opened the door to find a small plastic egg in front of her door. She picked it up and opened it, there was a little note inside. The note read, "You're hunting for eggs, I'm hunting for your love -your secret admirer." Strange, Y/n thought, I wonder who my secret admirer is, maybe instead of hunting for eggs, maybe I should look for clues, but.. I'd feel bad if I didn't hunt for eggs.. so I guess today is going to be a busy one. She closed the door and walked over to her hair brush so she could finish getting ready, or at least that's what she was going to do when there was another knock at her door. She walked back over to the door and opened it, just to see another plastic egg. There was yet another note inside, this time it read, "I'm sure you're wondering who I am, I'll reveal my identity later on, don't worry, you'll know when." This sure is a strange day, well.. at least I've got something to look forward to, Y/n thought before continuing to get ready for the day.

{Time Skip}

Everyone had finished the egg hunt and were now opening presents. Y/n had gotten to her presents, the first one she opened had a note inside it, “Happy Easter Y/n -Varian”, she gasped. The present inside wasn’t what had shocked her, it was the hand writing, it was the same handwriting as the notes in the plastic eggs in front of her door.

“What is it, Y/n?” Rapunzel asked.

“It-it’s the handwriting on this note- I had a secret admirer write notes to me this morning, and it’s the same handwriting-” Y/n said. She looked over in Varian’s direction. He was blushing, and had a smile on his face.

“I told you I’d reveal my identity later on, didn’t I?” Varian said, “You might want to read the other note in there though, and see the gift.” Y/n looked in the box, there was another note that read "Will you go out with me?" The gift inside was two stuffed bunnies, who had velcro on their hands so they could hold hands.

“So?” Varian said.

“Do you mind if I answer your question in another room? Preferably one without everyone else..-” Y/n said. Everyone took the hint and left Varian and Y/n alone.

“So.. what’s your- mmph!” Varian was cut off by Y/n connecting her lips to his. Varian was shocked at first, but quickly melted into the kiss. (A/n: my brain wanted me to type ‘Varian was cute’ instead of ‘Varian was cut off’, which I mean.. My brain wasn’t wrong-) They parted from the kiss.

“Does that answer your question?” Y/n asked.

“Yes, yes it does,” Varian pecked her lips.

“This has got to be the happiest Easter I’ve ever had,” Y/n said.

“Mine too,” Varian replied.
