Y/n was walking to Varian's lab in the castle, carrying a blindfold in her hand. She reached the door to Varian's room, and she put the blindfold over one of her eyes, making it seem like she had injured her eye. She knocked on Varian's door.

"Varian?" She said. She heard commotion inside, like several papers being pushed around and glass beakers being placed down. Then there was some scrambling to the door. The door opened to reveal Varian, out of breath.

"Hey Y/n! Wait- what happened to your eye?" He said, slowly pointing at her eye.

"Oh- yea.. one of your lab experiments blew up." Y/n said.

"A-and it blinded your eye?!" Varian said, panicked. Y/n nodded.

"Oh Y/n.. this- I..- I don't think I can fix it.." he said, starting to get teary eyed.

"That's okay, you don't have to," Y/n said, taking off the blindfold.

"What do you mean?" Varian asked.

"My eye was never blinded, do you know what day it is?" She replied.

"Isn't it March.. uh.. 30th..?" Varian responded.

"No silly! It's April fool's day! Wait.. when was the last time you slept?" She said.

"Uh.. I can't remember-" Varian replied. He yawned and Y/n shook her head.

"Varian! You can't do this to yourself!" Y/n scolded.

"I'm fine, really," He said. Y/n grabbed his arm and dragged him to her room. Varian whined like a little kid as he was being dragged down the hallway, he started to try to pull back to his lab, Y/n had enough and picked him up bridal style. Varian's face went red, and Y/n's cheeks went pink.

"Not another word." Y/n muttered. Varian stayed quiet. Eugene and Cass came into the hallway, once they saw Y/n and Varian they started laughing.

"Shut up!" Y/n said.

"Oh she's mad at you Fitzherbert!" Cass said.

"No! She's mad at you CaSsAnDrA!" Eugene shot back. Y/n continued walking and left the two arguing. She reached her room and put Varian on her bed, she realized he was already asleep so she quietly headed towards the door, and just before she was about to leave she heard..

"Y/n..?" A certain sleepy voice said, Y/n's heart practically melted at how cute he was. She turned around.

"Hmm?"

"This.. might be weird.. but.. c-can you come sleep with me..?" He said. Y/n blushed and walked over and sat in the bed next to him. He motioned for Y/n to come and snuggle with him. She moved closer to Varian, he laid his head on her shoulder and fell asleep.

"I really like you Varian.. more than a friend.." Y/n said out loud.

"I like you too," Varian responded, very sleepily. He snuggled more into Y/n. Her eyes went wide.

"Y-you're awake..?" Y/n said.

"Mhm.. will you be my girlfriend..?" Varian said, looking up at Y/n.

"Yes Varian," she replied, and they fell asleep together.

{Time Skip}

"Hey Y/n-" Rapunzel started, and then realized Varian and Y/n were fast asleep. Rapunzel smiled, she ran and got Eugene and Cass.

"Aw Goggles manned up and told her!" Eugene said.

"I'm not usually one for mushy lovey dovey stuff but.. they're so cute together!" Cass said. They squirmed in their sleep and when they found each other, they snuggled into each other. Rapunzel, Cass, and Eugene awed.
