Chapter 34: Aaron
*Ein's POV*
Hey! Aaron just
picked me up from
my house, he's
taking me out rn!
Ttyl!!
I reread (Y/N)'s text over and over again.
'Who is this, Aaron? What connection does he have with her? Where is he taking her? Why is he so important that she won't text me?'
I glared at my phone screen before I turned it off and threw it on my bed. I ignored the yelling coming from downstairs as I changed into my casual clothes. Once I was done, I heard something break, probably a plate. I grabbed my phone and made my way downstairs. I glanced around and saw my parents in the kitchen. Emilee, my mother, was on her knees as my father snarled, glaring daggers at her from the sink.
"You pathetic woman!" My father spat, "What have I told you about making that food? Are you trying to poison me?"
My mother tucked her dark blonde hair behind her ear as she smiled up at my father, "I'm sorry, Zack. I forgot-"
"Stop using that as an excuse! Your memory loss doesn't affect your ability to feed your pathetic self or that no good son of yours! How many times have I told you chili peppers taste and smell horrible!" My father grabbed another plate of food and threw it, "Now, clean up your mess."
"Yes, my dear." My mother got up, her smile plastered on her pale lips as she started picking up the broken pieces, her silver eyes were glassy but as usual, she refused to cry in front of my father.
My father's head snapped towards me, his dark eyes glaring at me, "What do you want?"
"May I borrow the car? I need to go somewhere," I said, ignoring the fight I just witnessed. By now, I'm used to it; they do this every morning my father is here.
"If you damage it, you're paying for it with the money you're pathetic mother has been saving for you." My father snarled, glaring now at my mother, who was on the floor cleaning up the waisted food and broken plates.
I nodded, my dad then tossed me the keys. I caught them in both my hands and started making my way towards the door.
"Have a great day, Ein!" I heard my mother's cheery voice call from behind me.
I didn't even glance over my shoulder as I walked away.
'Tch, she really is pathetic.'
My mother was always trying to smile, to be happy. I remember when I was younger, the other pups in my class were talking about how their parents love each other and laugh and kiss and have 'family moments.' I asked my mom that day if they loved each other. She told me they did, but my father showed his love differently than ordinary people, and that's the reason she says with him.
Love.
I always wondered why werewolves would want that. It makes them cry, yell, argue, angry. My father was always yelling at my mother, and she always just stood there and let him scream at her, hit her, punish her. Why? Because she's a human, what could she possibly do against a werewolf? That's why I hate humans... They're so weak and pathetic they can't protect themselves against anything, and they all fall victim to that despicable feeling of love.
I hopped into the driver's seat and put the keys in the ignition. I grabbed the seat belt and buckled it.
I smirked, 'Tho, it isn't as bad as it seems. I can see why my parents keep each other around... It's nice to have someone care about you.'
My heart fluttered in its cage as an image of my gorgeous blue and (H/C) haired human girl. (Y/N) is the only person who's made me feel this way, and I was not going to let this Aaron take her from me.
I looked over my shoulder as I backed out of the driveway and made my way to the (L/N)'s house. Her dad should know where she went.
--Time Skip--
"I thought... She was going out with you," Kevin scratched his head as he stood in his doorway, "I don't know anyone by the name of Aaron, she hasn't mentioned anything about a guy named that before."
I stood still in front of the grey house. I stared at the ground without actually looking at it. My chest hurt, my body felt cold as one terrible thought entered my head.
'She's with someone else.'
Without another word, I went back to my car and got in. I clenched the stirring wheel as I just sat there, staring into space.
'She's with someone else.'
Heat rose in my face as this dark, and bitter feeling swelled in my chest. I gritted my teeth so hard; my jaw started to hurt. I turned on the engine and slammed my foot down on the gas peddle, the wheels screeching as I sped off. I was going where I felt I should go. I didn't care if I drove around this worthless human town, I was going to find (Y/N) and this Aaron and take back what belongs to me.
