Chapter 2: Human Alpha
*Ein's POV*
'(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N)...age 15, lives with her father, her mother died in an accident. Then somehow was able to become Alpha Female when her records show she's just a mere human,'
The principal of this school was trying to figure out what to do with me. I did my research on this school before I came here, that's how I know about the Alpha Female, I'll need to meet her myself to decide if she's human or not. And if she is, I'm not going to have any problems becoming Alpha.
Suddenly the human adult walked away; I wasn't going to bother to follow. Why should I? She didn't go far, and she's still in earshot.
"Excuse me, are you (Y/N) (L/N)?" She asked someone.
"Yes, ma'am, can I help you with something?"
'Perfect! That was sooner than expected.'
I grinned to myself. The Alpha Female was just over there. If she really is a mere human, I'll be able to charm my way into my rightful place.
I heard their footsteps heading this way. I quickly pull myself together. When the principal lady turned the corner, my eyes automatically glued to the person who followed.
There she stood, her (H/L) (H/C) hair complemented her (S/C). Her bright (E/C) orbs shown with life. Something inside my chest twinged, it was something I've never felt before.
"This is Ein, and he's a new student. Since you're the Alpha Female, I was hoping you could show him around. He went to an all werewolf private school before, so he's not used to being around humans and meif'wa." The principal said.
"Oh, okay, I can show him around then" (Y/N) smiled slightly at her.
"Great," And with that, the principal walked away.
"Wow, not even a 'thank you,'" (Y/N) muttered under her breath.
I smirked inside my head, then I walked up to (Y/N) and started sniffing her. Her scent was off, she didn't smell like a werewolf, but she didn't smell human either. I looked for her ears and tail, but she didn't have any.
"Hey! Is that how you'd treat your Alpha?" She snapped and glared at me.
I stepped back, "I'm sorry, but I was just looking for your ears and tail. Are you one of the kinds that can hide them?"
Our eyes locked, sending shivers down my spine. For some reason, I couldn't look away. I felt another twinge in my chest. I realized it was my heart. Suddenly (Y/N) gasped, and her (E/C) eyes watered. Something about her face made me upset, and my heart hurt.
'What's wrong with me?' I shook my head.
"Alpha! Are you alright?" I took a step closer to her, "why are you crying?"
She jumped as if she was just taken out of a trance. When she blinked, a single tear rolled down her right cheek. I felt myself turn for being worried, to angry.
She wiped away the tear, "Oh! S-sorry, I just... Remembered something unfortunate," She laughed nervously.
It was obvious she was lying, but I wasn't going to push her. I don't want her to become suspicious of me.
"Oh, I'm sorry... But you didn't answer my question." I needed to tread lightly, she may be just a mere human, but she still holds the title of Alpha Female.
"Huh? Oh! Right! No, I'm not the kind that can hide my ears," She gave me a sweet smile, leading another twinge inside my chest.
"What do you mean? Where are your ears and tail then?" I pretended to be confused, I could tell she wasn't either human nor werewolf, and I was getting irritated she wasn't telling me.
"Well, I'm a human. So I can't hide any ears or tails." She just smiled at me.
'Tch, you're as difficult as one.' I resisted the urge to snap at her, so I played along.
"What? Humans can't become the Alpha." Now, this was a real question, how did a female human become Alpha?
"Well, it was all an accident, really. I was running through the halls because I was late, and I ran into a werewolf girl and knocked her out. There were other werewolves there and... Well, here we are!" She continued to smile at me.
She was going to be an easy target. With how much she smiled at me means she has an interest in me. I'll be able to romance my way to my throne, then get rid of (Y/N) and find a fit female to take her place.
(Y/N) turned towards the club booths, "I know it's going to take a while to adjust, but it really doesn't matter if you do or not. After all," The way (Y/N) looked over her shoulder and smiled at me made me freeze.
'She smiles....just like me.'
"I am still your Alpha, and I'm to be treated as such. And if you don't respect that, I'll make sure you learn."
I looked at the ground; my heart was racing but not in fear. My face was flushed.
'Why am I feeling like this?! She's a stupid human!'
I snapped my head up with a fake grin, and it was so wide I had to close my eyes, "Don't worry, Alpha! I'll respect you because your our Alpha Female and have managed to be Alpha Female this long."
She just nodded, "Good, then shall we begin your tour?"
"Yes, we shall," I replied.
(Y/N) took me through all the club booths, talking about them and telling me what they were. I was only partially listening; I wasn't going to join any human clubs.
"And finally! The Werewolf Club! Which I'm sure you'll be most interested in." (Y/N) turned around and smiled at me.
I smiled back, "You bet! Are you joining the club?" I tilted my head slightly to the left.
"You're the second wolf to ask me that, but yes. I am going to." She walked up to me and looked me in the eyes, "So Ein, what's it like at a private werewolf school?"
My heartbeat skipped, the way (Y/N) said my name was like the singing of an angel. I quickly pulled myself together, still smiling.
"It's nothing like here, but I'm glad I'm here instead. Because the Alpha Female, there isn't anything like you."
"Aw, you're too sweet!" (Y/N) giggled.
I genuinely smiled at her.
'Maybe if you were a werewolf, you'd be the perfect Alpha.'
"So, who's the Alpha Male?" I knew there no Alpha Male, but I needed to see she had anyone in mind and make sure she doesn't.
"Oh, not at the current moment. I'm going to start looking today; I'll probably decide on one by the end of the month." She said, turning around and looked at the werewolf club sign, her delicate hands behind her back. When she glanced over her shoulder, the look in her bright (E/C) eye sparkled with mischief, a playful smirk on her lips.
"Why do you ask, Ein?"
Our eyes lock again, sending another shiver down my spine, but I enjoyed it this time.
I smiled at her, "I was just curious Alpha. After all, I've never seen a human Alpha before, so I was curious to see who was helping you."
She laughed.
"Why are you laughing, Alpha?"
"Because!" She wiped a tear out of her eye, "Do I really look that weak?"
"Well, you are a human. Werewolves are way stronger than humans."
Her smile, ever since I met her, she's been smiling. For a slip second, I saw her face drop into something sinister. But it happened so fast I thought I imagined it.
"Putting humans down is not something we do here, " Her (E/C) eyes glared into mine, a fake smile plastered on her face.
"I apologize Alpha, I didn-"
"I don't care for those who disrespect, but I cannot stand liers." She walked past me, bumping my shoulder.
'Heh, neither do I (Y/N).'
