*Aaron's POV*

I pulled my hood more over my head as I stood behind a tree in front of my old school. The school day was over, and students were leaving the school. I was looking for (Y/N), my baby cousin. But I didn't see her walk out of the school. I looked around before sliding down the trunk of the tree.

I was waiting for around 30 minutes before a group of werewolves went running by.

"Man! The Alpha has such great ideas!"

"I love ultimate frisbee!"

"The Alpha is so kind to us!"

"No one could ever be better!"

I chuckled as they ran past me; they were too excited to notice.

'Just what I wanted to hear.' I smiled to myself, 'I knew she had what it took.'

Then I heard more footsteps, and this time I picked up on (Y/N)'s scent. I jumped up and hid on the other side of the tree so she couldn't see me.

'I know she's capable of taking care of herself... And I trust her judgment more then anyone's because if her gift. But...' I shook the thought from my head, 'No, it wasn't my fault. It was an accident, and she doesn't even remember... If she did, she'd hate me.'

"Gah! Stop thinking like that, Aaron!" I slapped my face.

"Did you hear that?" A familiar voice asked.

I froze at the sound of (Y/N)'s voice, pressing my back again the bark of the tress as much as I could.

"I didn't hear anything." An unfamiliar voice replied.

"Oh, alright." I heard (Y/N) sigh as I heard her footsteps in the gravel, followed by another pair of footsteps.

I waited a while before I peeked out from behind the tree. I saw (Y/N) walking and talking to a werewolf guy, dark hair, and blue ears and tail. He had piercings in his left ear. He was taller than her, so he had to look down, he was smiling as she talked, but I couldn't get a good look at his face.

"Who's that?" I asked myself, "Did she already pick an Alpha Male?"

'Well, she wouldn't talk to him if he was a jerk. Judging by how close they are to each other, they have to be friends. But there is something off about him.' I watched them disappear around a corner, but I swore right as they did, that werewolf looked me right in the eye.

I brushed it off, "Well, it looks like she's doing fine. Still, I'll text her about the Alpha Male just in case."

I sat back down on the grass under the tree and pulled out my phone and (Y/N)'s number.

(((I decided to change the way of texting. I might play with it more throughout the story)))

Hey! How's my baby cous?

I figured she wouldn't reply right away, so I passed the time by texting Aph.

'Maybe I should pay her a visit since I'm already in town.'

Hey Aph, how

was iffy today...
But how was college?

Classes don't start for
another week.

I chuckled and put my phone in my pocket. I looked up at the sky as the sun was setting, the sunlight was shining through the green leaves. A few of them had yellow tips, a sign that summer is ending and fall is coming. I stood up and looked at the school, remembering all the memories I made here with (Y/N) and Aphmau. I smiled slight as I turned and started walking away.

"I'm here for you cous, whenever you need me." I said aloud.

I know she couldn't hear me, but I also know that she know. I made her life harder... The least I can do is try to make it better.
