Rainbow Dash POV

Today's the second round, like yesterday, I packed some extra stuff for Windy Spectrum.

Like yesterday, the hall was packed. I found a seat, put my stuff down, and took the number for the Rainbooms.

We were the fourth to perform.

Soarin came over and said,"We're the second. Remember your gym routine!"

"Yeah!" I cheered, and hurriedly rushed to the bathroom, and darted into a cubicle. I emerged from it as Windy Spectrum, the superstar on the singing stage!

I met up with the Wonderbolts United, and we went backstage to prepare.

Wave with his saxophone, Fleet with her recorder, Fire and Lightning with their basses, Speedy with her set of drums, Vapor with her microphone (she's the backup singer), Prism with his keyboard, Sky with his accordion, and me with a mic I wore around my neck. I can't play my guitar while doing contortion! But I still brought it for the Rainbooms.

"Wonderbolts United!" called Principal Celestia, and we stepped out into the full glare of the blinding spotlights.

Soarin is going to sing this duet with me, while the others help with the chorus.

Me: yes

The interlude came. I took my chance, and glided out into the front of the stage, and flipped myself onto my hands.

Everyone gasped in awe as I did my awesome gym moves, spinning and twirling around.

I had did this for years. I did a leap, catching the glint of the spotlight, and landed with a double backward somersault, on my hands.

I did some more insane moves on the floor, stunning everyone beyond words.

The song started again, so I got back up and stepped back to my spot, resuming the song.

Soarin: So I sneak out to the garden to see you

Soarin: I got tired of waiting

When I met you on the outskirts of town

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said

I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress

We finished the song with a flourish.

Everyone was on the feet, whistling and clapping. Even Lightning Dust. So, she doesn't know yet.

I smiled, and we all headed backstage. I snatched up my stuff, and changed in the bathroom, coming out as the Rainbow Dash. The girl who is a show-off.

The Rainbooms were waiting for me.

"What took you so long! You were very late!" asked Sunset.

I replied,"Went to the bathroom for a little longer than usual."

We got a standing ovation, too. In my surprise. No one wants to know Rainbow Dash, but they want to have relations with Windy Spectrum. This is reality. (That's me!)

The other bands were good, but Diamond Tiara's band's scenery collapsed, and they were disqualified.

Lightning...getting better.

Nothing to say for the others.

Like yesterday, Vice-Principal Luna announced the results,"

It was a close shot, but we decided on three bands in the end.

They are...

Wonderbolts United,

The Rainbooms, 

And Awesome."

Flash thew down his guitar and stormed out of the room. Sunset chased after him, calling,"FLASH!"

And it went like that. People congratulated us , the Rainbooms, but I saw a even bigger crowd surrounding my siblings and Soarin. 

 "Where's Windy Spectrum?"

"She's amazing!"

"And so talented at gym! I couldn't even do a split!"

Soarin replied calmly,"She's unwell, and went back home to rest."

The crowd dispersed.

I sighed, and went alone backstage to clear my head. I hate commotions.

To my immense surprise, Countess Coloratura was there, fanning herself.

"You must be Soarin's friend, Rainbow Dash! He gave me a video of you singing, and I'm really impressed. Maybe we could sing a song together! It will be a national hit!" she exclaimed.

I replied,"You're Soarin's friend?! I'm a huge fan of your songs! I wish I could sing like you."

"You don't have to. In my opinion, you are already better than me." she said with a smile.

I used all of my self-control to stop screaming inside my head! I'm really that talented?!

I said,"Thank you! It's my dream since I was very young."

"I've got a song called 'Space Between', and it's made for us! We'll hold a trial on Saturday, okay for you?" she asked.

I replied excitedly,"Yeah! You bet!"

Countess Coloratura smiled, and walked out from the passage.

I was left standing there, smiling at nothing in particular. I was so happy. So very happy. I could sing with a superstar! Not a chance like this comes every day!

I can finally prove myself! To everyone in my life, I have a purpose.

A/N: I love the song 'Love Story'. Even though I haven't started dating yet, I want someone in my life to protect me, and support me wherever I go. i need it.
