We decided not to do the contortion solo just yet. We've got 100% chance to get into the second round. There's three round in total, and most of the school is competing. Tough competition.

Saturday came. I woke up bright and early, and that's when I got a text from Twilight.

Hey Rainbow! Come to Applejack's house! Band rehearsal!

I replied back:

OK! Coming ASAP!

I changed into my usual clothing, took my guitar, and hurried to Sweet Apple Acres as fast as I could.

The Rainbooms were waiting for me in the barn.

"What should we sing for the Musical Showcase?" I asked.

Sunset replied,"Maybe 'Friendship Through The Ages'?"

Fluttershy whispered,"Um...one of my songs?"

"YEAH!" squealed Pinkie.

I put down my guitar. I hate this song. Everyone thinks Fluttershy's songs are the best, but inwardly I know I could do much, much better.

It's not fair. I try my best to write that song 'Awesome As I Wanna Be', but my own friends think I'm showing off.

I just want them to be proud of me, appreciate me for who I am, and not what I am. I never told them about the abuse because of this. They neglect me.

Maybe they only want to keep the Element of Loyalty around to accomplish friendship missions. But they should care about me. I'm a mission on its own.

I said,"Well? Which song?"

"Maybe this would represent us. Not one of your boasting and bragging songs." replied Rarity, tossing her hair.

I sighed. See?! They don't care.

I wrote this song when I'm downhearted, and I'm alone, no one who cares. If I'm hurting, then I have to try my best to not let people make the same mistakes I made.

"Rainbow! Why didn't you tell us you wrote such an amazing song?!" cried Applejack.

I replied,"You like Fluttershy's songs more than mine."

"No! No! Of course not!" explained Rarity.

I shot back,"Oh! So says the girl who said my songs are all about boasting and bragging!"

"We're sorry. Rainbow Dash. We should pay attention to you more often." apologized Twilight.

I sighed. At least they knew where they went wrong.

"Okay." I said, smiling for real this time.

We sang this song again and again, having fun like yesterday. But I can't tell them I'm also joining the Wonderbolts United, right?

This is hard...

But I have to get over it.

At least I could be myself when I'm with my siblings and Soarin. They love me for who I am.

I know.

We said goodbye and went our separate ways. Pinkie to Sugarcube Corner, Sunset and Twilight to the library, Rarity to Carousel Boutique, Fluttershy to the animal center, and Applejack of course stayed. It's her barn.

I walked back to Soarin's home. On the way, I passed my old home.

A wave of nostalgia hit me. 

But I'm never, never, ever going back.

"There's no going back." I muttered.

Smiling even broadly, I skipped back home. My real home. Forever, I'm going to be loyal to it, not to my psycho family, except my siblings.

Clear gave me a key to the door. I unlocked it, and stepped into my home.

I saw Soarin working on his homework. I smirked, and joined him at the table. I finished all my homework yesterday.

I started teaching him some complex math equations.

This is the BEST DAY EVER!
