I demanded,"What is going on in here? Were you spying on me, pervert?"

"N...No! I just heard you singing, and it was amazing! And BTW, you could do contortion! I watched so many videos on YouTube, but I still couldn't do what you did! I only manage to lift myself up for a centimeter, and I fall back down with a 'plop'. Sometimes, if I'm unlucky, I accidentally land on my bum, and a rude sound from you-know-where will sound, stinking the whole house." replied Soarin.

I burst out laughing when he said he farted while doing contortion!

I never do that. The only mishap was when the cane was too loose, and when I was practicing on it, it broke and I broke my leg. I was in hospital for a week.

I said,"Never mind. Hey! Maybe I could teach you that! After all, I'm self-taught."

Soarin gasped and replied,"But your standard is equal to a world champion! How did you do that?"

"Just watched videos, and mimicked their moves, and now it's like this." I answered casually.

I was smiling, as I twirled around the room, in time to the beat. 

Soarin was clapping his hands as I danced, stomping his foot along to the steady rhythm.

I did a ridiculous move just to impress him. I flipped onto my hands and stretched, doing an impossible pose.

Bu t I always dare to do the impossible.

I flipped back onto the canes, arched my legs to an impossible point, and waved, only balancing on a hand, moving the canes with it.

I got back onto the ground and said,"How's that for a starter?"

"Wow...AWESOME! Dad would love this!" he replied, starry-eyed.

The bell rang for class. I tidied up everything I used, and marched out of the room, head held high.

When Soarin said that about his dad, I felt a wave of sadness overcome me. I wish my dad will notice me, and praise me for what I do. That's why I'm such a show-off. I know it.

This is me

I wrote this song in my 'prison' in the dead of night, when I was sobbing, my head in my knees, and suddenly I heard Mum, my deceased Mum, say to me:

"Don't give up, Dashie. I'm here for you."

I perked up, and started to sing this. That's why it meant so much to me.

It was Music, and I regrouped with my friends, as we headed back to the music room.

The music teacher, Miss. Harmony said,"Let's make a list of the participating groups or solos in the Musical Showcase."

She gave Sunset a list, and she started writing our names on it.

I whispered to Soarin,"I'm joining both bands. Rainbooms as Rainbow Dash, and Wonderbolts United as Windy Spectrum, a fake name."

"That's good! I'll tell Wave and Fleet about this! We'll be able to win for sure!" cheered Soarin, as Sunset passed him the list.

He scribbled furiously on it, and when he passed it on, I saw Windy Spectrum on the list.

We're gonna win this thing!
