Rainbow Dash POV

Today we were having Math again. As Miss Cheerilee was about to tell me off for almost falling asleep though I know how to solve the problems, an announcement sounded.

"Will everyone please go to the hall? It's about the Everfree Camping this year."

The whole class cheered, except for Soarin, my siblings, Spitfire and Surprise.

"Um...what's that?" asked Soarin.

I replied,"A camping trip to the Everfree Forest. It's amazing! Last tie we defeated Gaia Everfree, a villain."

Surprise squealed,"I'm bringing marshmallows, marshmallows and marshmallows!"

We laughed.

Everyone continued chatting as Miss Cheerilee led us to the hall.

Principal Celestia was on the stage.

"Everyone, as you know, we are going to Camp Everfree like last year. But this time, no magic problems will be happening. Just a normal holiday. Teachers will give out the stuff you need to pack. And, don't bring too much books or toys. It's a holiday far away from books. Breathe in nature air and enjoy the sun."

Twilight sighed.

"And, relax. Exams are over and I don't want any stressing in my peaceful holiday. Got it?"

We laughed and nodded.

As we left school after some classes, I decided to go to the park and breathe in fresh air and take some photos.

I can take good photos, if I say so myself.

Soarin joined me. I took a shot of him and me together, under a tree, with the wind blowing my hair around.

"Good photo! I'm using it for my wallpaper." I said jokingly.

Suddenly, I got a text:

BeachWave: Band practice! Come to the park ASAP.

Soarin laughed, and helped me type:

TheOneAndOnlyRainbowDash: We're already there XD.

Soon enough, my siblings joined us, with Spitfire and Surprise.

"They're joining Wonderbolts United. OK with that?" asked Fleet.

I replied,"Sure! The more the merrier."

Fire asked,"What song should we sing?"

I showed him the lyrics and melody for a song I wrote.

He shouted for all the world to hear,"THAT'S AWESOME!"

I smiled, as everyone crowded to read what I wrote.

I loved this song. It boosted my strength every single time I sing it.

Speedy and Prism were staring at each other, singing their hearts out.

Woah. Are they thinking of love between siblings?!

JK. They are gazing at each other in a brotherly/sisterly way.

I laughed out loud.

"You know what happened in school today? Miss Cheerilee got stung by a bee on her arm and she cried 'SHIT!'. Then she went to the nurse's office to get treated while the bee scared all of the prissy girls in class. Miss Cheerilee came back. The bee flew into Lightning's panties and refused to come out!" I said.

By then, everyone was laughing till their stomach's hurt.

"Yeah! It was so funny!" agreed Soarin.

I continued,"And Lightning was so embarrassed when Miss Cheerilee had to lift up her skirt to get the bee out! Her panties were lacy with red hearts! I almost exploded there and then! After the bee flew out again, Miss Cheerilee killed it! It was the funniest moment I ever seen! ANd I got it on video!"

(That really happened in our class once...)

I showed them what I got, as we were laughing so hard we cried.

We headed back home.

As I went up to my room, I packed my stuff for camp, which is the day after tomorrow.

My gaze landed on a photo on my desk.

Mum.

She was a beauty. Wave and Fleet always said she's where I got my beauty from.

Mum had spectrum hair like me, but in pastel colors. She had pure white skin like Rarity, and sapphire eyes. 

I had my blue skin from Mum's white skin and Dad's navy one, my eyes from Dad. So I'm the only one who's a mix of the two.

The other either look like either one of my parents, or totally unique. Not a bit like Mum or Dad.

I miss Mum so much. She would always call me her beloved baby, and sing to me, and tell me story. We were way closer than me and Dad.

She died of cancer. Dad was in grief for about a month, but after that passed, the abusing got worse. Mum had tried to protect me, but always got beaten too. We would lie in her bedroom, tending to each other's wounds.

I tried to hold back my tears.
