Chapter 2
Percy ran past trees in a blur silently. He was chasing Echidna, the Greek Mother of all Monsters. Percy kept pursuing, drawing his bow as he closed in. Lyra was running parallel to Percy, enjoying the hunt.
Lyra and Percy have gotten close the 4 years they have known each other. Each has developed feelings for each other but Percy had been cautious since he didn't want what happened to him to repeat itself. He didn't want to hurt again, he just wanted to enjoy life without people betraying him.
Lyra on the other hand, loved Percy. She just wasn't sure Percy felt the same way, so she has never brought up the subject.
Percy finally caught up to Echidna, cornering her beside a mountain.
'You can't escape me so why bother running Echidna?' Percy asked, his dark green hood covering his face.
Echidna reeked of fear. She has never before run from anyone, but the power Percy was radiating and his cool collected expression and his aura of death scared her. She didn't want to fight him, mostly because of the stories she has heard of The Hunter.
'Please let me go! I will do whatever you want just please don't kill me' Echidna begged fearfully.
'Please, I'm sorry I killed that huntress, I promise I won't kill anyone ever again!' Echidna screeched.
Percy rolled his eyes. 'I'm not one to give second chances' Percy said
Echidna shook visibly in fear. 'Please, I will exchange information for my life' She begged desperately.
Percy raised an eyebrow. 'What sort of information?' He asked.
'The Titans and Giants are coming together. They are growing more powerful than ever before. They are so powerful, they are recruiting monsters from all over the world. Monsters that are so Ancient, nobody has ever seen them before' Echidna said still shaking in fear.
'But they aren't more powerful than me aren't they? Otherwise, you wouldn't be here begging for your life like the coward you monsters are' Percy said smirking.
'I am The Lord of the Hunt, and you are my prey. None I hunt ever live' Percy said, and with that he pulled back his bowstring and released his arrow.
The arrow pierced her heart and embedded itself on the tree behind Echidna. She let out a scream of pain before turning into monster dust, her scimitars falling on the ground.
Percy walked over to the scimitars and picked them up, a grin on his face. 'Sweet, another war prize!' Percy said gleefully.
Lyra rolled her eyes at his childishness. 'For someone so old, you sure are childish' Lyra said as her lips formed a smile.
Percy flashed her a smile before turning serious. 'Did you catch what she said? That's probably how Bonecrusher became so strong' Percy asked.
Lyra nodded gravely. 'Yes I heard that. We shou-' She was interrupted by clapping from behind us.
'Bravo child. I must say, I'm impressed' A voice Percy only knew too well spoke.
Percy turned around, his eyes glaring at the figures in front of her.
'Gaia, Kronos, what do you want' Percy asked coldly.
'My my, such disrespect. I think we should teach you some manners' Kronos said with an evil smirk on his face.
Percy just stood there unmoving, his glare intensifying making Gaia and Kronos hesitate.
'Leave at once. Failure to comply will result in your painful death' Lyra warned, her voice too was cold and terrifying.
Kronos and Gaia smirked. 'We aren't going anywhere without you little Goddess' Gaia said before snapping her fingers and 8 Golums erupted from the earth.
In a flash of light, Persus, Prometheus and Hyperion appeared, all battle ready. Percy wasted no time in loading an arrow and letting it fly. Lyra followed his lead, shooting arrow after arrow at every enemy in view.
The Golums all turned to mud when killed, much to Gaia's surprise. Percy then stopped shooting arrows and took out his twin swords. Glowing, Percy swung his sword in supernatural speed, chopping off Prometheus' head off before he could react.
Lyra continued to shoot arrows at the Titans and Gaia, causing them to become irritated. It also served to distract them long enough for Percy to fight them all off in close combat. Together they continued to push the enemies back with ease, much to Percy's discomfort.
This was way too easy. As that came to mind, a scream came from behind him and he turned to see Lyra lying unconscious across Gration's back. Before Percy could attack Gration, he disappeared in a flash of light with Lyra. Soon everyone flashed away, not wanting to face the Vengeful Hunter.
Percy let out a scream of absolute rage, the winds picking up speed at over 100 m/h. The seas began to rage across the world, clouds began to cover the skies, blocking out the sun. Percy's eyes turned a bright deadly red, his skin broke and he stood in his true divine form, 40 feet tall. He let out another roar of rage, destroying the entire forest.
His rage caused the clouds to begin raining upon the world. However instead of rain, it was raining meteors and fire. Every Deity stood in shock, staring up at the sky as more meteors kept falling from the skies.
The Olympians were shocked at what was happening. 'Zeus, Poseidon, control yourselves!' Hades yelled.
Zeus and Poseidon looked stunned. 'It's not us! We aren't doing anything! We can't even stop any of this!' Poseidon said as tsunami's crashed against a few coastal cities, drowning the cities and killing all life on them.
Athena's eyes widened. 'That's impossible!' She screeched in fear.
After half an hour of letting out some anger, Percy regained control over his emotions. As Percy was about to flash himself to Saren to tell him the news, 12 flashes announced the arrival of several Gods.
Zeus stepped forward. 'Who are you? How are you doing all of this? And why are you doing this?' Zeus thundered.
'I am Perseus, The famous Hunter, Celtic God of Elements, War and Hunt as well as the Eclipse. I lost control over my emotions, that's after fighting off Gaia and some Titans' Percy said, his voice dripping with barely contained rage, anger and hatred.
Zeus shook his head. 'You are a threat, not only to the world, but to Olympus as well. You are coming with us' Zeus said as Ares and Athena stepped forward to chain Percy up.
As they took their first step, 11 flashes stopped them in their steps. I front of Percy, Saren stood glaring at the Olympians.
'You will not attack one of my council members without going through us' He said.
Serene, Celtic Goddess of marriage, loyalty, and wisdom stood next to her husband Saren.
'You Olympians are idiots. The Giants, Titans and Gaia have all teamed up and have captured my beloved daughter. Do not get in our way Olympians as we rescue our daughter' Serene stated firmly.
Zeus glared at her, though lust was seen in his eyes. 'How dare you speak to us that wa-' Zeus stopped as he was punched in the face by a raging Percy.
'Shut up, you speak too much!' Percy yelled before flashing away to The Celtic Throne Room.
A moment later the rest of the Celtic Deities flashed in, all wearing grim expressions on their faces.
Percy still had an furious look on his face, however he also had a determined expression overlapping his furious face.
'I'm getting Lyra back' Percy stated, leaving no room for argument.
