"What is he talking about?" Harry asked Luke, who had dropped on the edge of the fountain and put his head in his hands in exasperation.
Luke only shook his head.
"Come on, dude, do it!" Leo pushed.
I sighed in mock resignation and waved my hand. It took a second for the scene to sink in but once it did, the Atrium burst with laughter.
Lord Voldemort stood with his wand still pointing at Harry but with a red clown nose attached to his absent nose and a clown wig on his head.
The moments after Voldemort turned into a clown were confusing and I only barely managed to keep up with everything. Poor Harry didn't though, since everyone refused to tell him a thing about what is happening. I finally took pity on him and pointed to Sam.
"Sam, tell Harry everything," I said, only just noticing that we were now at Grimmauld Place and everyone in the Order was within ear shot. "Tell his friends too."
"Mr. Jackson, I do not think that you have the authority to disclose such information," Snape put in before Sam could open his mouth.
That made every one of the students freeze, including Fred and George, who popped in not too long ago. The other teens must have told them everything while they were waiting for Luke and me. I could imagine the conversation. Hermione spouting out facts about the Greek and Roman gods while at the same time, denying there were ever such beings. Ron, Harry and Neville staring at Hermione in a daze, not registering a thing she is saying and Luna accepting the information as though it were obvious. Ginny would be somewhere in between believing and disbelieving while Fred and George would be sharing fantasies of meeting Hermes, god of mischief.
Ironic though, since I heard from the Stolls that their father wanted to meet them as well.
"Now, here's the thing," Luke said before I could say anything, "You are the one who has no authority over Lord Ariston. Or if that is too hard for you, Lord Jackson."
"Either way, he out ranks all of you here," Leo said from the seat nearest to the fireplace. Hestia was there too, sitting on the other side directly on the hearth.
"In what world?" Snape sneered from the other side of the room. "As far as I am concerned, Mr. Jackson is a professor with an inflated ego and Mr. Potter here is the reason we all ended up at the Ministry tonight in the first place and the reason a professor and Ministry official died."
"To be fair, Percy was the one who made sure Umbridge died," Sam muttered before my anger got the better of me. "If he hadn't, Sirius would have died."
"And for your information," I growled, "I would out rank you in any world. Being a Greek and Roman primordial god would make sure of that. Hades, even if I were still a demigod, you are still a mortal, you have no authority over me and neither does Dumbledore."
"Did I hear you right?" Remus asked, breaking the stunned silence, coming between Snape and I. "Do you really think you are a god?"
I stared at him, not saying anything. Not that I needed to, my silence answered his question clearly enough.
"This is rich!" Remus said, laughing with out humor. "He's insane! An insane wizard has been looking after my best friend's son all year!"
Leo frowned. "Not all year, Dumbledore left a while back and still has not come back."
"You believe him?" Remus demanded, slightly shocked, looking at the son of Hephaestus. "Of course you do. You probably think you are one too!"
"Of course not," Leo scoffed. "I'm only half god. Son of Hephaestus. Hestia is the only other deity here."
Remus snorted wolfishly. "What is she? His girlfriend?"
"Remus, enough!" Sirius said as I scrunched my nose at the thought and shared a disgusted look with my niece. "He saved my life!" I rose my eye brows, it seems I've gained one person's trust.
"He thinks he is a god, Padfoot!" Remus said exasperatedly. "All our problems started because some maniac tried to become one!"
"Remus, you might want to stop," Hermione said timidly, "we believe him."
"You should have seen him talk to Umbridge," Ron muttered not so quietly.
"I can't believe this," Remus said in disbelief. "You all really believe this psychopath?"
Why do I want to quote Sherlock right now? Leo asked me mentally.
I ignored him as I focused on the silence that followed Remus' comment. I glowered at the werewolf, barely restraining myself from punching him into the next county. How dare he doubt me? All I've done since getting here is help and this wolf is saying I can't be trusted. I am very trustworthy thank you very much.
"Lady Hestia?" I heard Luke say quietly. "Can you do something?"
"I don't need to," she whispered back.
Before anyone could ask her what that meant, the front door burst open. Next thing everyone knew, Black's mother's portrait started shouting, "MUDBLOOD! FILTH! DIRTYING THE HOUSE OF MY FATHERS-"
"Be silent, mortal," a calm, familiar voice sounded throughout the now deathly silent house. Foot steps came all the way to the dinning room, where we were. The wizards in the room were frozen, unsure what to do. "Percy." The newcomer stood in the door frame, another figure right behind her.
"Lady Artemis," I nodded deeply in replacement of the bow my hunters did. "Thalia. How are you doing, nieces?"
Artemis looked around the dark room. "Could be better," she admitted.
"What's wrong?" I asked, frowning. "Did Gration reform already?"
"No, nothing like that," Thalia smiled. "We just wanted to visit. Is Vindex here?"
"Thank you by the way, for that," Artemis added.
"He's in my tent," I answered, nodding in Artemis' direction. What Thalia meant was she wanted to see my dog. "Hold on." I mentally let Vindex know I needed him. In the next second, my flying dog popped out of no where and jumped on me, putting his huge paws on my shoulders and licking my face. "Hey, buddy, it's good to see you too. I have someone you would like to see."
Vindex stopped attacking me and let me somewhat get up. He barked excitedly when he saw Thalia and leapt on her instead, giving her the same treatment as me. They had gotten to know each other quite well before I left to come here.
Artemis laughed and turned to me. "So how are things going on your end?"
I eyed Remus and everyone else in the room, taking in their stunned faces and distrusting looks. "Well," I pointed to Remus, "this werewolf is testing my temper, his friend is having trouble calming him down," I pointed to Sirius, "and this man is testing my authority." I pointed to Snape.
The goddess eyed said people carefully. "Two questions," she started. "Is the werewolf secure?" I saw her finger her silver hunting knives.
"Not part of Lycaon's pack," I confirmed.
"Lycaon?" Hermione questioned.
"The first werewolf and king of the werewolves," Artemis answered. "You might need to face him in this war of yours. Second question; did you tell them?"
"Tell them what?" A pink haired lady asked.
"Yes I did," I answered, "and Lupin here doesn't believe me."
"Hey, Hestia," Sam called with a sly grin, "didn't Hecate bless their ancestors with magic?"
"Merlin?" Hestia perked up, "indeed she did, along with all the muggle borns. Think of the wizarding world like one big family with Hecate being the mother. The original 'pure-bloods' were once muggles or muggle-born, as you say. The muggle-borns now are like the adopted family members."
"Nice," Fred and George said in unison, turning to Hermione, "welcome to the family, sis!"
Hermione smiled happily but asked, "What does that have to do with anything?"
"Hecate is a Greek goddess," Hestia answered kindly.
"Now when someone calls you a mudblood, you can say, 'at least I was wanted,'" Leo laughed.
"We're getting off track," Remus put his hands to his temples as if he were getting a migraine. "Who are these two?" He pointed to Artemis and Thalia then turned to Hestia. "And who are you?"
"Forgive me, I forgot to introduce them," I said. "My great grand niece, Lady Artemis, goddess of the moon and hunt. Lieutenant Thalia of Artemis' hunt and my great grand niece as well. That is Hestia, my grand niece and goddess of the hearth."
"How are they your great grand nieces?" Luna asked.
"Simple really," Leo spoke up, "he's the son of Chaos, the creator of the universe."
"So Tartarus, your brother who has been at Hogwarts for half of the year is really..." Hermione paled slightly.
"The pit of monsters? Yes, that is my brother and the three fates are my sisters as well," I confirmed. "That is how I got Umbridge to die instead of Sirius."
"How can you believe this wack job?" Remus asked, exasperated. "And how did you know I was a werewolf?"
"And what just happened for the past several hours?" Harry asked, nearly panicking. "Everything happened so fast!"
"First off," I said, raising my hand, "for Harry's sake, we should start at the beginning-"
"I still do not think Potter should be told-" Snape stopped at the glare I directed his way.
"If Harry was in on some of the meetings, or if you just talked to him, Sirius would not have almost died and the 'poor professor and Ministry official' really die. Honestly, I think the world is better off with out her, I can't believe you are complaining," I said, glaring at him still. "Don't you dare blame this on Harry."
"Perseus, calm," Artemis said quietly, placing a hand on my shoulder.
My head started to hurt and my form flickered, making some of the adult's eyes widen. "Artemis, you know that's my Roman form," I groaned, clutching my head, "why do you keep doing that? How would you like it if I called you Diana?"
Artemis' form flickered for a split second, too quickly for anyone to see and she frowned. "Percy," she complained.
"Don't call me that when I am Greek then," I said, slightly smugly. Turning back to Harry and the others, I continued, "The Order has been trying to track down Voldemort but has been unsuccessful. I honestly think if they asked you about the dreams and taught you how to shield your presence from Voldemort's mind, they'd figure that out a lot quicker but that's just me."
"What about what happened at the Ministry tonight?" Neville asked.
"Ah, yes, the Ministry," I said, smiling in satisfaction.
"I think you'll have to explain that a bit for everyone Percy," Luke said, "Not everyone was there."
"Yeah," Leo agreed, "and I only got the fact that you put a clown nose and wig on Voldemort and that the Ministry knows he is alive. Everything else is hazy."
I sighed when I saw Sam nod in agreement. I would have thought he'd be able to follow along with everything since he was the oldest out of all of us. "I'm disappointed in you Sam," I said.
"Me?" Sam exclaimed. "Why me? I was busy making sure some of the death eaters didn't get away!"
"I still think that's a stupid name," I muttered, "alright, I guess I'm telling you all what happened. Even though you were all there when it did."
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️
"You dare-"
Voldemort was cut off by the fire places whooshing as the aurors and Minister flowed or what ever through.
~It's Floo, Percy~
~Are you telling this story, Leo? No? Then shut up~
"It's You-Know-Who," the Minister said in shock. "He's back, but why is he-"
"Did you really thing ignoring the problem would make it go away?" I demanded the Minister. "This clown is not just an itch, he's a disease and whether or not you know it, he's infected you too."
Fudge wouldn't meet my gaze, looking everywhere but at me. That gave him the distraction he needed. "Black!" He shouted, pointing his wand at the fugitive threateningly. "It's Sirius Black!"
"He's innocent," I said, deeply, gesturing for Luke to guard the wizard in question. "Mr. Pettigrew is still alive and is the real traitor. Isn't that right, Moldy-cheese?" I looked at the clown trying to sneak off but was stopped by my words and my wards. He was trapped for the time being.
~Then how did he escape?~
~I'm getting to that, Leo, now shut up!~
...
~Where was I?~
~Voldemort is trapped-~
~Oh, yeah!~
"Indeed he is," the snake sneered. "How does it feel to know that you imprisoned the wrong man for 12 years in Askaban, Minister?" He must have figured that if he can not attack with his wand, might as well attack using words.
Fudge paled and stuttered, "We didn't-I didn't think-"
"Of course you didn't Fudge," I said, exasperated, "you never think." Harry, who I forgot was next to me, snickered. "Therefore, this man is innocent and you will let him go."
I started ignoring him at this point, not bothering to wait for agreement since he would not dare to deny me. Moody must have seen this because he limped over.
"You need to take his wand," he said, pointing to Voldemort. "Otherwise he will attack and your wards will loose power and the scumbag will escape."
"No need to worry," I said, waving my hand. "The only way he could break through is if-"
"Hiding now, Potter?" Voldemort called with a smirk. "Your coward of a father put up more of a fight."
The idiot was desperate, you could see it the way he nervously shifted where he stood and the way his voice shook just the tiniest amount. All his hard work to get what he wanted and now it appeared to be crashing down. Sadly, it worked.
Harry roared with anger and charged.
I knew I could do nothing to stop him so I just pointed. "-if that happened," I finished as my wards came falling down.
Voldemort grinned wickedly and laughed, disappearing into smoke. Bellatrix and the death eaters trapped with them disappeared as well and Harry fell on his face when he didn't meet the expected force of running into his enemy.
~So he got away because Percy couldn't do a non-penetrable ward on both sides? You're such a Kelp-head Perce~
~Shut up, Pinecone-face~
So, after Voldemort escaped, I got Moody to take the teenagers and the other members of the Order to Grimmauld Place. Dumbledore, Luke and I stayed behind to talk to the Minister.
"Do you believe us now, Fudge?" I asked. "After Voldemort's followers nearly killed an innocent man and killed one of your Ministry officials?"
That stunned Fudge even more than seeing Voldemort. "Dead? Who...?"
"Dolores Umbridge has sadly-" I interrupted Dumbledore momentarily by suddenly having a coughing fit, "-has sadly passed through the veil. We shall mourn her passing-" this time Luke joined me, "deeply."
Some of the aurors gained coughing fits as well, hiding laughs at our antics.
"Indeed," Fudge said solemnly, "her presence will be missed. She was an inspirational-"
At this, I could no longer hold back. I burst out laughing, causing Luke and a few aurors to snicker. Dumbledore smiled, his eyes twinkling. "I'm sorry Minister but it you truly believed that, you are more blind than I thought."
Fudge looked from his aurors to Dumbledore then back to me. "I-I don't under-"
"Understand?" I finished with an almost wicked smile, sickly sympathetic. "Oc course you don't."
~Percy, I'm sure this Fudge person is a lot smarter than you are making him out to be~
~Okay, you're right, Hestia. He actually turned red he was so mad but this is more fun~
~Tell it right, Kelp-head~
~Do you want to tell the story?~
~Just tell us what happened next, Perce~
"Dolores Umbridge is an upstanding Ministry official and for you to imply that she was otherwise is-is-"
"Sensible? Understandable? Makes complete sense?" I finished happily. "I agree."
"What do you know?"Fudge angrily demanded. "You've-"
"Been at the school all year so I would know exactly what she is like? Where as you have been here and now where near the school?" I interrupted again. "You are absolutely right."
I let the angered Minister seethe for a few seconds then took pity on him. "Fudge, she used blood-quills as punishments. Something one of my hunters has informed me as illegal. Not only that but before I intervened, she was about to perform the Cruciatus curse on Mr. Potter. And she is the one to set the dementors on Potter that night. I say you dodged a bullet. How embarrassing would it be for the Ministry to send one of it's own officials to Azkaban? I assure you, I would not have allowed you to keep this private."
Fudge paled and nodded. "Of course, my lord," he murmured weakly.
"Albus, I leave you to work out the details here with Mr. Fudgsicle," I said, turning to the headmaster. "Just so you know, I will be telling Harry everything. Do not bother arguing with me on this, he needs to know."
Dumbledore nodded in resignation, sighing as he turned to the still flustered Minister.
"He's going to be at that for a while," Luke said in amusement as he followed me out.
"You have no idea," I grinned.
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️
"So that is what happened up to the point where I popped in here out of now where," I ended cheerfully.
"Let me get this straight," Tonks, the pink haired lady, said, "You got the Ministry to believe that You-Know-Who is back, captured Voldemort only to have him escape, got Umbridge killed and freed a convicted man? All in one night?"
"All in a day's work-well, night's in this case," I said, clapping my hands together. I saw both goddesses and my hunt-including Thalia laughing and rolled my eyes.
"What now?" Remus asked, still slightly in shock.
"We prepare for Voldemort's next attack," Moody growled.
"Yes, but I think it is time we got the kids back to school," Mr. Weasley said at a nudge from his wife.
"Quite right my dears," Mrs. Weasley said, ushering them all to the fireplace.
"Can't you just flash us all there, Perce?" Luke asked, "being a primordial god and all?"
"Yes, but food first," I said, eyeing the path to the kitchen.
"I think you should let them sleep here for the night then go back in the morning," Hestia spoke up, "they don't have classes tomorrow after all."
Everyone agreed and started toward the kitchen. Then...
"Wait how did they get in the house!" Remus is still obviously having problems with the whole trusting thing.
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️
"Percy!"
I jolted awake, sitting straight up in bed. "I'm up! I'm up!" I exclaimed, my heart racing.
"Finally! Now come over to the mirror, we need to talk," it was my sisters. Talking in unison again.
I hate it when they do that.
"What do you need?" I grumbled, slowly climbing out of bed. "It's one in the morning, I don't need to be up for another..." I took a minute to do the math, "four hours."
"We need to tell you about this quest of yours," they said.
I groaned and tapped the glass of the mirror, clearing up the fog and glaring at the image of my three sisters on the other side of the glass. "What?" I asked, irritably.
"You already know the giants were brought back to life and are working with Voldemort," Clotho started.
"Don't tell me what I already know," I sighed. "I want to go back to sleep."
"The werewolves are joining the Dark Lord as well," Atropos said.
"You will be needed- along with Artemis' hunt- in the wizarding world's final battle," Lachesis finished.
I stared at them for a second, letting the information sink in to my murky brain. "Well," I said, rubbing my eyes sleepily. "Thanks for telling me something I already guessed. I'll see you tomorrow after I drop Harry off with his mortal family."
Clotho whacked her closest sister. "I told you he already knew!" She scolded. "Now he's going to be grumpy tomorrow and we'll have to deal with it since father and Tartarus are out!"
"Well, excuse me for wanting to be sure!" Atropos defended.
"This wouldn't have happened..." I tapped the glass again, effectively muting my quarreling sisters and went back to sleep.
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️
"Ron! Ginny!" Mrs. Weasley called, hurrying towards her children to embrace them, as if she hadn't seen them three weeks before. "Oh, Harry, dear-how are you? Percy and the others, I trust the last few weeks were eventless?"
"I'm fine," came Harry's muffled reply as Mrs. Weasley pulled him in for a hug as well.
I nodded in confirmation to Mrs. Weasley's question and turned to the rest of the people behind her. I saw the twins, dressed in some new clothes that were obviously expensive. Lupin, Moody, Tonks and Sirius, all dressed in mortal clothing. Moody had a hat with a large brim on to hide his eye and Sirius looked a lot more clean shaven since the last time we've seen him.
"What are you all doing here?" Harry asked, a hint of a smile on his face.
"Well, we thought we would have a chat of sorts with your aunt and uncle," Moody growled, limping a little closer. "That'll be them, eh, Potter?"
"I dunno if that's a good idea," Harry said warily, looking from some walrus man and horse lady to the Order members.
"Oh, I think it is," I growled before anyone could say anything, looking around for his relatives. Then I realized we were all going to the walrus man and horse lady. "Wait, that's them?"
Harry looked up at me with a quizzical look. He nodded.
"Man, do they rank up there with Smelly Gabe," I muttered to myself.
Unfortunately, it was loud enough for Luke, Nico and Leo, who were closest to me, to hear. They barely hid their snickers.
"Good afternoon," Lupin said, smiling pleasantly to the walrus man. "My name is Remus Lupin."
"And I am Sirius Black, Harry's godfather," Sirius added, not smiling at all. "We thought we'd just have a few words with you about Harry."
"Yeah," Moody growled, "about how he's treated when he's at your place."
The walrus man was stuck on Sirius. "I know you!" He said loudly. "You're that-that criminal! The one who blew up that street years ago!"
"He's innocent, Mr. Walrus," I spoke up. "Now listen to them."
"I am not aware that it is any of your business what goes on in my house-"
"I expect what you are not aware of would fill several books, Dursley," Tonks said dryly.
"Anyway, that's not the point," Sirius said, bringing them back on track. "If we hear that you have been mistreating Harry in any way and make no mistake, we will hear about it-"
"I'll make sure of it," I added, staring 'Dursley' down and making a mental note to regularly send members of my hunt to check on him.
"If we get any hint that Potter has been treated badly in any way, you will have us to answer to," Lupin finished.
Dursely's face turned purple, a shade I did not realize was possible for humans yet here he was, purple as a grape. "Are you threatening me, sir?" He said, so loudly that people passing by actually turned to stare.
"Yes, we are," I growled, stepping forward. This was taking too long and I had places to go.
"Do I look like the kind of man who can be intimidated?" He barked.
"Well..." I started, letting some of my frustration show through my powers. I felt electricity flow through me like lightning. Everything went dim, as if I were close to a light source. Dursley stepped back, terrified. I smirked smugly. "I dare say you are."
Calm now, I turned to Harry. "Take care, Potter," I said, raising two fingers to my brow. "We'll be seeing each other sooner than you think I suspect."
"Bye Percy," Harry said, smiling and returning the gesture. "Try not to kill anyone while you're gone."
If Dursley wasn't intimidated enough, this statement from Harry had him and his wife and son all cowering with fear. I smirked in their direction and walked over to my hunt. "Ready?" I asked.
"Let's go, my lord," Luke said. "I've had enough wizards to last me a life time."
"Don't call me that."
