Chapter Two - I'm Not Leaving Until He Leaves
-Annabeth-
-A Week After the Accident-
"Annabeth," I heard Piper's voice, "Annabeth, get up!"
I groaned then opened my eyes to see that it was in fact, Piper. "What do you want?" I grumbled.
She sighed, "You haven't left your cabin for a whole week now. Everyone's getting worried about you. I understand that what happened had been...hard-"
"You think?" I muttered.
"-but that doesn't mean that you need to stay cooped up in your cabin," Piper went on, "You're the daughter of Athena. You don't get your feelings in the way with your life."
"No, that's not why I refuse to get out," I told her, "I refuse to get out because that...that boy refuses to leave the front door. And i'm not giving him any satisfaction of seeing me or giving him a chance to explain himself. Until he leaves, then i'll leave."
Piper shook her head, "That's stupid!"
"I swear on the River Styx that I won't leave this cabin until he leaves," I insisted stubbornly and cue the distant thunder (even though it's morning).
Call me stupid but i'm not backing down. My pride won't let me.
Piper sighed again, "You do know that you won't be leaving for a really long time."
"Of course I know," I muttered, "I'm the daughter of Athena after all."
"Fine, what do you want?" She asked, "Some pancakes or...?"
"Pancakes sounds nice," I told her.
"Then i'll be right back," Piper said before heading out the door.
I heard Percy asked right outside the door, "What did she say?"
"She's not going to leave," Piper told him, "You might as well give up."
I didn't hear another reply but I guessed that Percy shook his head. Knowing him, he's not one to give up easily.
I heard an exasperated sigh from Piper, "You two are the most stubborn people i've ever met."
"Deal with it," Percy retorted and I almost let a laugh escape until I remembered that I needed to stay angry at him.
Now I wondered how long will I be able to keep my oath.
