Chapter 5
It had been an hour and a half and Artemis was beginning to freak out. Was he planning to assassinate her while they spoke? Was he going to leave again? These thoughts kept the goddess from thinking clearly. All she could do was pace back and forth to try and calm herself, but she didn't have much luck.
"Where the hell is he!" Artemis shouted to no one before punching a hole through her front door, which was made of silver.
When she pulled her hand out of the door, the surprised face of Perseus Jackson could clearly be seen through the massive hole that her fist had caused.
"Was that for me?" He asked, as if he had forgotten about everything from before. The moon goddess blushed in embarrassment, but quickly composed herself before opening the door and letting him walk into her living room.
"So what was so important that you dragged me here? You do know that I am the only thing keeping my soldiers at bay right now, right? If they had their way, you would have spent the last couple of millennia in a torture chamber in the void. That is a place you definitely don't want to go."
Artemis went to speak, but after hearing what he said, well, she looked like a fish out of water. "Why would you want to hold them back?" Was all she could manage to say.
Percy just looked at her confused. "Why wouldn't I?" He asked as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"I thought you hated me."
"I did, at first. After I found out what your father had threatened you with, I placed most of the blame on him. I am still upset that you didn't come to me for help. I could have forced him to stop." Percy said.
Artemis couldn't believe her ears, he had just basically forgiven her. It would take time before they could at least become friends again, time they didn't have because of the war between Primordials that was coming.
"How are we going to win this war Percy?" She asked, fear gripping her heart like a vice.
He smiled, he may still be pissed, but he would always love her. She was his other half, his reason for living, his will to keep fighting.
"Like I said before. This will be a war between Primordials. Meaning some of my brothers and sisters will fight with us."
Artemis slowly understood that. Sure, they were fighting Primordials, but they also had them on their side as well. Then there was Percy.
"What about you? Your only half Primordial."
He grinned, "Let's just say that, that won't be the case for long. My father is going to make me into a full blooded Primordial God. I will be on par with Gaea and Tartarus, but with my domain over the Void I will be even stronger. Almost as much as my father."
"When?" Was all she could say.
"Right now actually." Percy said before grabbing her hand and flashing them to his fathers throne room.
When they arrived Artemis punched him in the chest, but it did little to him. "Your going to have to try harder than that if you want to hurt me." He smirked which only served to piss her off a little.
"You could have asked me before you dragged me here."
"Well, I can send you back if you would like. Guess you don't want to be the first non Primordial to see another Primordial be made." Percy said as he watched her eyes light up with excitement.
"No! I want to go too."
He chuckled before ducking underneath her fist. "Can't catch me Artemis, I'm too awesome." He said smirking at her annoyed face. "Let's just hurry up so I can check on my Hunters before they get into trouble, again."
"Sure thing moonbeam." Percy said as they took a few steps towards his father's throne. When they were only a couple of feet in front of it, Chaos appeared, looking every bit the creator of the universe.
"Father." Percy said as he bowed to the most powerful being in the universe.
"Rise my son, for today you will join the Primordial council, not as an advisor, but as a member." Chaos spoke with such pride, his smile threatened to cover his whole face.
Percy smiled as well, the time had come for him to wield the true power of a Primordial.
The son of Chaos stood up from his spot in front of his father's throne and gestured for Artemis to sit at the side of the room.
The goddess did so, looking around at the amazing architecture as she did. She could just imagine Athena fainting from the beauty of it.
Chaos smirked at his son who just glared at him.
"Shut up." Percy said in his father's mind. Chaos just chuckled in response.
Without another word Percy stood up and opened his arms out.
"I am ready."
"Are you sure about this? It has never been done before and it could kill you or worse." Chaos said.
"What do you mean worse? What could be worse than death?" Artemis asked from her spot in the throne room.
A grim expression crossed over Chaos's face as he thought about the chance this went wrong. "It could change him into a monster."
A moment of doubt flashed across Percy's features before he steeled his nerves and spoke his mind. "It doesn't matter, if I don't then I will be tortured and killed by my siblings, it must be done."
Artemis went to say something, but Chaos held his hand up to stop her. There was no point in arguing with Percy when he had made his mind up.
Chaos smiled at his favorite son, his heir. He just wished he didn't screw this up.
"I, Chaos, Primordial of Creation, make you Perseus Jackson, Primordial of the Void and Creation. Come forth and take your place as my heir and General of my armies."
Chaos's entire body began to glow with power before he blasted his son with a beam of raw energy. When it collided with Percy, the son of Chaos fell to his knees and bit back a scream. The last bit of his mortality being burned away from the power of Chaos.
The searing pain to his body lasted for at least an hour before it stopped, leaving behind a smoking Percy sitting on his knees with his head bowed down.
"Percy?" Artemis asked carefully. Percy's head snapped up at the sound of her voice.
Both Artemis and Chaos gasped at him, he had definitely changed.
Instead of the black eyes with miniature galaxies floating in them, Percy now had bright purple eyes with exploding super novas in them. His hair now had the same shade of purple streaks going through it and what both of them had thought impossible, Percy had somehow gained even more muscle and grew until he was seven feet tall.
Chaos took a cautious step toward his son to see if he was okay. Before he could though, Percy stood up and checked himself. He noticed the differences and began to stretch a little before looking to the only other people in the room, a slight grin on his face.
"Let's go kick some ass." Percy said before he summoned a portal and stepped through.
"Uh, where is he going?" Artemis asked confused. One second he's on his hands and knees trying to regain his energy and the next he's summoning portals that will most likely drop him off somewhere dangerous so he can fight.
"He's most likely going to defeat his brother." Chaos said.
Artemis eyes widened in alarm. "Tartarus?"
"No, no. He hasn't had the time to get used to his powers yet. The rest of my children have chosen their sides. On our side we have Nyx, Perseus, Erebus, Pontus, and Ouranos. On the opposing side there is Tartarus, Gaea, Hydros, Ananke, Nesoi and Eros. Nesoi is leading an army to your demigod camp as we speak. The Romans and Greeks should be able to hold off the army, but won't be able to stand a chance against my daughter. Perseus can now sense where all of his siblings are. He felt where his sister was heading so he is now preparing to defend the demigods. Go, gather the Olympian council and have them watch. They must see the threat they face." Chaos said before waving his hand toward Artemis who vanished and reappeared in the Olympian throne room.
"A little warning would have been nice." Artemis mumbled, but continued to summon the council.
A couple of minutes later and all twelve Olympians were there, including Hades.
"Please tell me you didn't piss Perseus off." Zeus begged.
Artemis glared at her father, "If anyone has done that it would be you, father. And no, I spoke with Perseus and we have more or less made up. But, that is not why I have called you here. The Primordial Nesoi has gathered an army and plans to attack the demigod camp as we speak."
The room erupted, with people yelling out about solutions and other arguments stirring up as well.
"Shut up!" Artemis screamed at the top of her lungs.
Everyone in the room immediately quieted down.
"Thank you. What I was trying to say before I was rudely interrupted was that Perseus has gone to defeat his sister. From what Chaos explained to me, the demigods should be able to hold the monster army off until Nesoi has been defeated. Chaos wants us to watch so we may see what we are up against."
"But how will Perseus defeat a Primordial? He is still a demigod." Athena questioned.
Artemis shook her head. "He is no longer just a demigod. Chaos has made him a full Primordial. He now has the power to defeat his siblings."
"Even so, he is outnumbered." Ares commented.
"Wrong again. Some of his siblings have joined the fight as well. When the final battle comes, we will be on even terms."
"Great, but can we watch the fight now?" Apollo asked.
"Idiot." Artemis muttered.
...
A large army of monsters marched towards Camp Olympia. The demigods had spotted them a few miles away and had made defenses for their home as best as they could.
"Romans!" Praetor Reyna shouted to the three hundred Roman demigods lined up behind her.
"Greeks!" Thalia copied her friend. Another two hundred Greek demigods spread out behind her. There may have been less Greeks, but they could fight better than their half siblings as they were trained to fight in open combat where as Romans were trained to fight as a group.
Laughter echoed across the field that separated them from the enemy.
After they had defeated Gaea ten years prior, they had all moved to Greece to secure the Original Mount Olympus in case it was ever threatened again. The gods no longer moved with western civilization, but stayed where they first ruled.
"You children have no chance of defeating me. I am a Primordial!" Nesoi screamed. The demigods all got ready, but the daughter of Chaos could sense their fear.
Another few minutes and the Primordial and her army were standing a hundred yards in front of the demigod army.
"I am not going to offer you a chance to surrender. I'm just going to kill you all." Nesoi laughed. Just as she was about to give the order to attack a drakon to her left burst into golden dust.
"Sorry sis, but you can't kill them. I'm rather fond of this planet so if you wouldn't mind, just fuck off." Percy replied as he appeared in front of the demigods.
"You! You know you can't defeat me. Your just a demigod."
A grin appeared on his face as he stared at his evil sister. "Not anymore. Dad gave me an upgrade."
Nesoi's eyes widened in fear as she realized her brother had been given the power of a primordial. Add that to the power of the Void and he was almost unstoppable.
The son of Chaos ran forward, summoning his twin kukris as he did, and swung with enough force to slice a mountain in half. Nesoi ducked before bringing out her own weapon. A trident with poison dripping off of the three prongs, something Percy didn't want to get close to.
"Nice toy, but your going to have to do better than that if you want to win sis."
She growled in anger before shooting a beam of energy at her younger brother. Perseus rolled to the right, stood up, and threw one of his kukris with all he had.
The weapon imbedded into Nesoi's left shoulder, slightly sticking out of the back. Unfortunately for Percy he was left exposed as the poison trident went through his midsection and out of his back. The Primordial of Islands lifted Perseus off of the ground before shifting her hand so she was holding the weapon like a spear and threw it into a tree.
Percy tried to pull the weapon out of him, but it seemed this was his sisters symbol of power and he could not control another Primordials weapon of power, at least not without a power boost that is. A plan began to form in his head as looked around. The monster army had engaged the demigods and for the moment it seemed they were pushing the monsters back. But that would change if he allowed his sister to win.
The son of Chaos called upon his powers over creation and the Void to give him the strength to free himself. With a grunt of pain, Percy grabbed hold of the hilt and slowly, and painfully I might add, pulled the weapon free and tossed it to his side. Percy fell to his hands and knees trying to catch his breath, but it wasn't helping very much.
Nesoi began to laugh hysterically. "The poison from my weapon has entered your bloodstream. There is no escape from fading now little brother." She sneered.
Anger began to cloud his thoughts. He had just become a full Primordial only an hour ago. There was no way in hell he was going to die this soon. He looked up to see a dome of darkness surrounding him and his sister. It seemed his father knew what he was about to do.
The son of Chaos began to glow bright gold as his flesh disintegrated leaving behind a Primordial in his immortal form. He slowly stood up and glared at his terrified sister who realized she couldn't flash out because of the dome her father had put up around them.
"Surrender or be sent to the Void for eternal punishment." He boomed loud enough to shake a building down to its foundation.
"You think that because you can go into your immortal form that you can beat me? I still have the power to kill you!" Nesoi screamed in rage as she forced her trident to fly back to her and began to transform into her immortal form.
"Think again, bitch." Percy growled before snatching her symbol of power out of the air and snapping it over his knee.
Nesoi stopped where she was and fell to the ground in agony. Her power and soul were ripped away from her. Her soul entering the Void for punishment and her power going back to her father. A new Primordial of Islands would need to take over for their predecessor.
The remaining monsters began to run away as the demigods charged after them until they reached the borders.
Perseus just flashed away, back to his father's throne room.
