Chapter 3

Percy Jackson ran along the rough terrain of Tartarus as he searched for any clues of the enemy's whereabouts. He occasionally came into contact with monsters that would try to kill him, but they were all weak monsters so he was able to kill them instantly.

Luckily, Tartarus hadn't figured out that Percy in his domain yet, so he wasn't trying to slow the son of Chaos down at all.

Percy had transformed into his wolf form, his senses were heightened extremely while in this form.

Hours passed, though he figured time down in the Pit was a lot different from the world above, and he had killed dozens of monsters, but nothing was leading him in the right direction.

After another couple of hours of exploring Tartarus, Percy decided he should find the biggest groups of monsters there and destroy them if he could.

Hopefully, he could cause enough damage to delay them a few weeks.

After taking a short rest, Percy continued on his path to the doors of death, where he was sure that Tartarus had his army waiting for the order to strike.

Within minutes, Percy had encountered a Titan and a small army or monsters.

The son of Chaos went to attack, but he hesitated. He could learn their plans first and then wipe them out.

The Titan, Hyperion, stood in front of his small army that consisted of three hundred monsters, giving a speech.

"Tomorrow, Tartarus will let us lay siege upon Olympus. We will rip their power from them and then we will burn everything they have built to the ground! This will surely be the last time we must face those worthless brats. Even my brothers, the Giante, will fight with us. Our mother, Gaea, has also awoken from her slumber. Together, we shall put an end to Olympus!"

For the first time in his immortal life, Percy felt fear. Even he wouldn't be able to take on two of his siblings and still be able to fight a portion of their army. It seemed he would be forced to drag his peaceful siblings into a war he knew they would not want to participate in.

Percy shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. For now he would destroy this small army and then he could worry about a war between Primordials.

The son of Chaos crept up right behind the Titan of Light and stood there, waiting for the son of Gaea to feel the wrath of his uncle.

Three hundred monsters stared at the giant wolf behind the Titan in fear. Hyperion looked at their terrified faces and frowned. "You fools, you should not be scared of those pesky demigods. They will be no problem for our army." Hyperion said before he heard a growl from behind him.

Hyperion turned around to see a wolf the size of a pick up truck standing there with its teeth bared. A smirk covered the Titan's face as he looked at the wolf, that is until he saw its eyes.

Only two people had eyes like that and one of them wasn't allowed to interfere with wars due to the ancient laws that he created himself. Unfortunately, the first man was a bit more rational than his son who now stood in front of him with his teeth bared as he looked at the Titan in his wolf form.

Before Hyperion could even think about moving, Percy had ran forward and launched himself at the son of Gaea.

The screams of pain from the flesh being ripped from the Titans body could be heard from all over Tartarus. The small army of monsters just stared in fear as their leader was ripped apart by the massive wolf.

Hyperion had tried to duck, but he wasn't fast enough to escape the opened jaws of the wolf.

What scared them even more was that the more the beast ripped the flesh apart, the bigger it got. From what they saw, they thought that it gained power from killing, but what they didn't know was that Percy was subconsciously growing into his godly height while in wolf form.

It tended to happen when he was angry or really excited. It was happening now because of the second option.

He didn't know why, but the feeling Percy got while he ripped the Titan apart seemed to make him more excited. He did like the rush of battle, but this was almost different, like he was born and breed for war.

His body kept growing until he stood at an impressive height of fifty feet, far larger than any other being lower than a Primordial.

Percy raised his head and stared at the army of monsters. Ichor dripped out of his mouth and hit the ground. Small pools of golden blood began to form on the rough ground of Tartarus. The Titan's limbs were everywhere.

An arm was a few feet away to Percy's left, his right leg had been thrown into the crowd of monsters, and the rest of him was either crushed or thrown other places.

With one last howl, Percy charged the now fleeing group of monsters.

It took the son of Chaos minutes to kill every monster within sight, which in his case was a few miles.

He snatched up a dracaena in his jaws and smashed a cyclops underneath his left paw, not stopping a second from his stampede over the army of monsters.

A few brave lastrygonians tried to throw their flaming dodge balls at him, but they just bounced harmlessly off of his thick fur.

Before they could try to run, Percy swatted them aside and continued on his path of destruction.

The screams of the damned weren't loud enough to block out those that were forced to face the son of Chaos.

As Percy finished ripping the last monster apart, he heard his father calling him back, but it was too late as the connection was cut off. Percy turned back into his human form and shrunk down to his normal height of 6'7.

A column of hellfire erupted in front of him, but it soon vanished, leaving behind Tartarus.

"It's good to see you again brother. I hope you weren't trying to delay the inevitable. Those stupid Olympians have ruled far too long. When we were in control, the planet was safe. Everything made sense."

"Nothing was right. In fact, if it wasn't for Ouranos, you would have taken all of the humans and tortured them until you got bored. Because of you, this world has been thrown into chaos and destruction. If you had your way, the world would be turned into a living hell."

The Primordial of the Pit smiled at his little brother. That smile made Percy shiver. It was the same one he would use whenever they would meet for council meetings and he had planned a prank. Of course his pranks had always been something like summoning souls that had been sent to his realm and torturing them in the middle of the throne room.

It had always made Percy sick, he didn't really care for torture and he was usually fine whenever he had to do it to an enemy, but his brother was a mastermind and was able to be pretty creative when it came to his...domain.

"See, you finally understand brother. Now, if you don't mind, I must get back to building my army. That little stunt you just pulled has cost me weeks of preparation." Tartarus said as he turned around to leave, but was stopped.

Percy grabbed his brother and spun him around. Tartarus wasn't fast enough to avoid his brothers fist as he was put on his ass by Percy. The Primordial of the Pit looked at his brother in surprise.

He never would have guessed that his brother would strike him first. "I've got to admit, that was one hell of a punch you got, little brother."

A blast of red and black energy shot from Tartarus and crashed into Percy as he was sent flying back thirty or so feet. Percy stood to his feet just in time to catch a fist to the face. The youngest child of Chaos stumbled back a bit, dazed slightly, but is able to side step his brothers next swing.

Tartarus stumbles forward and is kicked from behind, sending him face first into the ground.

"Come now big brother, that can't be everything you have. I would have figured fathers second most powerful child would a bit more of a challenge. Guess I was wrong."

Tartarus growled in frustration and charged, summoning a Stygian iron sword. Percy grinned in anticipation, his own sword appearing in his hands as he took a stance.

As Tartarus swung wildly, Percy sidestepped, ducked, and parried all of his brothers relentless attacks.

This continued until Tartarus fainted low before spinning to the other side and stabbing Percy through his left shoulder, making him grunt in pain.

Tartarus had no time to celebrate his small victory as Percy switched into the offensive as he swung high and spun around, punching his brother in the face. Percy waisted no time in attacking again as he continued his deadly assault.

Tartarus tried to keep up, but Percy was very deadly with a sword and his skill was unmatched. Unfortunately for him, Tartarus was more powerful, despite Percy having the Void as a domain.

While Tartarus was fully immortal, Percy wasn't. He was born with the immortality like the Hunters of Artemis had, but it didn't go into effect until he turned twenty.

If his father was to make him a full Primordial, his power would increase tenfold, making him the most powerful Primordial to exist. Only his sister Nyx would be able to compare to him in power. Of course Chaos would still be more powerful than his children, but then again, he was a bit more than a Primordial.

Another blast of energy from Tartarus forced Percy to duck. The youngest son of Chaos rolled out of the way, just in time before the Stygian iron sword was embedded into the ground where he once was. Percy continued to roll around on the ground, dodge ping every attack Tartarus threw at him, but was unable to get up.

He finally saw his opening as Tartarus lunged forward and stabbed the ground where Percy was, only for his younger brother to roll out of the way again and stand up.

As they exchanged blows, their power caused the ground and ceiling to shake.

They had to avoid stalactites as they fought, but Tartarus didn't seem to pay them too much mind. Since they were technically inside his body, Tartarus could just make them move without much thought.

Percy on the other hand had to work much harder because his brother kept sending them after him.

Percy grew angry as he couldn't land a single blow, but he had to wait patiently if he was going to win. Tartarus charged forward, launching a blast of energy as he did, and swung his blade low, trying to take out Percy's legs.

Percy quickly jumped over his brothers attack and kicked Tartarus in the face as he did. Before Tartarus could recover, Percy had swung his blade. The sword connected with the flesh of the evil primordial, making him cry out in pain as his right hand was severed from his arm.

Tartarus cradled the stump, pain was clearly showing on his face as he tried to think of a way to end his little brothers life.

Percy glared at Tartarus, if he would just give up on trying to destroy the world then he wouldn't have to hurt him.

"You will pay dearly for that, brother." Tartarus growled as he summoned his sword back, holding it in his left hand, and began a barrage of attacks that kept Percy on the defensive. Percy was too slow to react as he was cut, stabbed, beaten, and bruised in various places.

the youngest son of Chaos sat on his knees, bleeding profusely from dozens of wounds.

He knew that Tartarus would eventually beat him, but he had hoped to find a way out of the Pit first. "You will now die, you should have known that I would defeat you. Just because father gave you the Void as a domain, doesn't mean you have the power to beat me. I am his second most powerful child, second only because of our sister Nyx. She is only more powerful because she is the first born out of all of us. Now prepare to die." Tartarus said as he leveled his sword at Percy's throat, his eyes shining with evil glee.

Just before he could kill him, Tartarus was knocked backwards by a wall of darkness. When he looked up, a beautiful woman in a black dress stood there, her eyes filled with hate. "You should have known not to mess with our little brother."

"What are you doing here? Come to protect our pathetic baby brother so that he won't get killed?"

Her dark, black eyes narrowed at her brothers words. "He is a demigod that came close to beating you. If he was to become a full primordial then he would have destroyed you without any trouble. It means you have lost a step brother. You used to be a powerful immortal, but these last few millennia have made you soft and pathetic to where a mere demigod can come close to defeating you. I advise you think over my words carefully. Goodbye for now, Tartarus."

Before he could do anything to stop her, she was gone along with Percy.

"I will kill you for this, Nyx." He growled before he erupted into a column of hellfire.

Nyx and Percy re-appeared inside the Mansion of Night, still inside Tartarus, but out of his power to control for now.

Despite being almost killed and still bleeding from many different wounds, Percy couldn't help, but smile at his sister. She was by far his favorite. Always kind, but stern when she needed to be. She had been there when his birthmother had died at his birth and had helped Chaos raise him to be the man he is today.

She had also been the one to keep him from destroying a planet after he learned of his brothers death, especially when he had learned who had done the terrible deed.

"Thank you sister, because of you I am still alive." He said as he used the last bit of his strength to give her a hug before he passed out from exhaustion and loss of blood.

Nyx snapped her fingers, making Percy appear on a bed before she summoned some embrosia and nectar that she forced down his throat. Within seconds, most of his wounds began to heal, but the more severe ones like the hole in his shoulder and deep gashes on his body stopped bleeding. The wounds were still there, but he wasn't losing as much blood as before.

Nyx smiled at her younger brother. He had been her favorite sibling just because he didn't have all of the faults like the rest of the Primordials or anyone else for that matter.

He was brave, loyal, kind, and selfless. He was powerful, even for a son of Chaos, but that power never went to his head. His life had been one hard challenge after the next and yet, he still managed to keep all of his good qualities and gain no faults.

Though, he was very sarcastic and rude when it came to manners with royalty or anything that required him to bow down to beings other than his father. He never liked giving respect to thoughts that didn't earn it. That was another reason why he had left earth to get away from Artemis. Sure she had trained young women to defend themselves and even managed to help them get revenge on those that had wronged them, but she also put it into their heads that they were above the male population, even when they were wrong half of the time.

Frankly, Nyx had to agree with him on that. Sure what had happened to them was bad and sometimes even horrific, but that didn't give them the right to kill any male in sight just because of his gender.

The Primordial of Night shook her head of those thoughts before she flashed away, leaving Percy alone in the dark room of the Mansion of Night.

...

Two Days.

That was how long Percy had slept. Nyx was beginning to worry for him, but there was nothing much she could do. Sure she could have told her father, but she figured he had enough on his plate looking for anything that could help Percy with the war at hand.

There was no doubt that she would be joining this war and she was obviously going to choose his youngest brothers side. She had a feeling on which Primordials would join whichever side. The thought of a war between her siblings was enough to make her cringe. It would be the bloodiest war ever. She could only pray that they didn't destroy everything in the process.

A loud groan was enough to get the powerful goddess in tears of joy, something that had only happened on very special occasions. Percy slowly sat up as his eyes tried to adjust to the dimly lit room he was in. After a couple of seconds his eyes widened and his sword appeared in his hand, but before he could do anything, Nyx snapped her fingers and the sword flew out of his hands and into hers.

"Relax brother, you are safe here in my home." Nyx said, trying to calm her brothers nerves.

His body visibly relaxed at hearing his sisters voice, his memories of his fight with Tartarus came flooding into his mind.

"How long was I out?"

"Two days. The injuries you sustained weren't too bad, but a couple were enough to keep you asleep for a few hours. I have no idea why you were out for two days. Maybe if you were to ask father he could give you the answer."

Percy smiled at his favorite sister. "Thank you sister, I can never repay you for your help."

She smiled at her little brother. "It was the least I could do considering all of the favors you have given me over the years.

"While I always enjoy seeing you sister, I must get back to earth and tell the Olympians of the impending danger."

Nyx nodded and gave her brother on east hug before he flashed out of her home, out of Tartarus, and onto Olympus. he appeared just outside of the throne room doors, but he hesitated before going in.

He could hear a large crowd gathering towards the center of the "Eternal City", but couldn't tell why they were gathering.

"Well, I have been in their throne room enough lately. Guess it's time I actually explored the city since I've been back." He mumbled before making his way over to the commotion.

As he walked toward his destination, Percy couldn't help, but admire the work of the craftsmanship of the city. It seemed they had improved since the last time he was here. While it wasn't as good as his or his fathers palace, it was still a beautiful sight. He made a mental note to speak with whoever the architect was and see if they would like to take a visit to the Void and then his fathers planet.

When he got there, he saw something that made his blood boil. A giant brute of a man was standing over a woman, a massive club was held tightly in his hand.

As the man was about to crush the woman underneath his club, Percy shot a blast of energy at him. The blast threw the man into a column that was supporting the roof to a café. The roof crumbled and fell on top of the man before he could get up and recover.

Percy smiled in victory, he had been a little down since he was defeated by Tartarus, but this had brought his spirits up.

Everyone had turned their attention to the son of Chaos as he sat there, a grin covering his handsome face. "Sorry, but I don't like assholes like him."

Suddenly the crowd began to cheer, the woman from before smiled brightly at him. He returned the smile with one of his own which made the woman blush a little.

Percy chucked until he was knocked back a few feet from a club being smashed into his face. When he looked up, the brute was standing there, an evil smile plastered to his face. Percy thought he looked like one of those body builders, but on steroids.

"Who do you think you are? I am the Great Hercules, son of Zeus. How dare you attack me. I shall now kill you for your injustice act."

Before the man could lift his massive club, Percy had kicked him onto the ground, a small crater formed where the son of Zeus lay.

Suddenly thunder rumbled, signaling that Zeus was not happy. Percy couldn't give two fucks as to what Zeus thinks anyways.

Hercules stood up once again, his eyes full of anger, but Percy could see his fear.

"Let's see how tough you are against a son of Chaos," Percy said as he cracked his knuckles, making Hercules eyes widen.
