Escaping from the Sith

I looked where that voice was coming from, and I immediately knew at that moment that this day was about to get ugly.

And when I meant ugly, I meant ugly.

The whole room was full of dark clouds of smoke, the entire place radiating with the Dark Side of the Force. Now, I was staring at the very front of the room, where a massive platform with a big throne on top. And sitting on that 'said' throne was a man classes in dark draped robes. He appeared to be over 6'0 feet tall, and at his side was a lightsaber hilt. When he stood up, his hood moved and I could see his face. It was horrible - it was wrinkled so much, that I couldn't tell if he had a mouth or anything. It looked as if he had suffered some pretty extreme burns to his face. His eyes were the only thing that was visible, and they were an evil shade of yellow.

A Sith, I thought to myself. No being would ever have eyes like that...unless they were Dark Side users.

I activated my blue lightsaber and pointed it at him. Alec activated his as well.

"Who are you?" I demanded.

The man chuckled. He walked ever so slowly forwards and soon he reached to bottom of the throne platform. Standing a little over two metres in front of me and Alec. "I'm just simply the ruler here on Drommaund Kaas. My name is Vitiate - Darth Vitiate, Emperor and Lord of the Sith."

I tightened my grip on my lightsaber. So, this is a Sith Lord.

"I thought the Sith were destroyed when we thwarted your plans during the Mandalorian Wars?" I stated.

Vitiate shook his head. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. You Jedi are clueless to what you believe. For instance, you were led to believe that you had intel about rogue Mandalorian's being here on Drommaund Kaas - that was a lie, meant to draw you here."

My eyes widened. "This was a trap."

Alec was very silent, his eyes wide and alert for anything that might happen. He looked very uncertain about what to do.

Vitiate looked at the two of us, and couldn't help but notice that he was staring at me the most. "So, this is the famous Jedi Knight known as Revan. Hero of the Jedi Order and leader of the Prodigal Knights. Impressive - my informant spoke very highly of you, ever since he saw you in combat during the war."

My eyes narrowed. "Informant? What, you had a spy on us? That's how you knew we were coming?"

The Emperor nodded, giving me a very evil and amused look. "Of course, Revan. I make it my duty to know who is the most powerful Jedi is. That way I know who my real concern to my plans is."

Alec came forward. "Plans? What plans?"

The Sith placed his hands behind his back. He started to walk around us in a circle. "Have you ever heard of something called...the Star Forge?"

Alec's eyes lit up...which is something that got me a little worried. I didn't like the look he was wearing, at all. "Go on."

Vitiate smiled. "I happen to be looking for a team to find this almighty Forge. Within it lies the true power of the Dark Side, where I intend to obtain it and become powerful enough to wipe the Jedi out for good. And if you help, you will be most rewarding."

"You're bluffing, old man," I said. "There is no such thing as the Star Forge. If there was, we would've known about it. As it turns out, I'm not interested anyway."

The Emperor stiffened. "Not interested? Huh...obviously, the Jedi have taught you not to give in to such temptations of power. A pity. And I was looking forward to having two fine young apprentices."

"We're not people who you can just turn, you Sith scum," I snapped.

Vitiate's eyes lit up. I quickly dispelled my anger into the Force, completely getting rid of it.

"I feel the Dark Side in you," he stated, a small smile on his face, which was disgusting to look at. "I sense a coldness from you - a dark, predatory and primordial aura. You know what the Dark Side of the Force feels like. Why don't you come and join me? You could have so much power...no one would stand against you."

I struggled, trying not to listen the voices in my head from that day...

"Percy is such a loser, he's not worth it."

"Get out of here, Jackson! You're no use to us anymore!"

"Don't you get it? No one wants you around."

"You've ruined everything!"

"I HATE YOU!"

I was so caught up with all those voices in my head, that I didn't take notice of Alec rushing the Emperor and quickly bashing the hilt of his lightsaber against the Sith, who crumbled to the floor.

Alec turned to me, gripping my shoulder. "Hey, focus Revan! We need to get back to the Phantom and warn the Republic!"

I nodded subconsciously, walking forwards with Alec. But before I took another step forward, the throne room doors opened and we were met with a small group of dark clothed warriors. There were ten of them, and all of them carried ruby red lightsabers. They wore masks that covered their necks and mouths, so only their eyes remained visible.

"Kriff," I swore, bringing out my second lightsaber and activated it. I held both lightsabers outwards, getting ready to fight.

"Get out of here," Alec told me, gripping his lightsaber in both hands again.

I turned to him with wide eyes. "What?! No way am I leaving you here alone!"

"It's either me or both of us! If you get out of here, then you can warn the others. I can buy you some time, but you have to hurry!"

I stood there, worried and desperate. If I leave him to fight these Sith warriors, then it was ten against one. I knew Alec was good in combat, but against Sith duellists that we haven't had any experience against? He stood no chance.

"Perseus," Alec said, his voice somehow calm and pleading, "go."

I hesitated, not wanting to lose my friend...but I finally nodded, and reached out with the Force. I directed it towards the Sith acolytes and pushed them to the side, making yell in surprise. As soon as they bashed against the two opposite walls of the throne room, I raced towards the elevator, just as it was closing. As they slid shut, I saw the first of the Sith acolytes raise their blade against Alec.

I hoped he would be alright...
=========
As soon as the elevator doors opened, I was greeted by several Sith warriors, all of whom carried lightsabers.

I jumped over the group and started slashing with my lightsabers. I couldn't believe how many Sith were here, and how I could not sense them earlier when we landed on Drommaund Kaas. Either way, it didn't matter because the only thing I thought was getting off this planet and getting back to the Ebon Hawk.

I rolled one side to the other, clashing my blades against the many Dark Side users that were coming after me. Many fell at my hand, as I dashed out my lightsaber combat moves. Over the years, I had accumulated many forms of lightsaber duelling - Djem So and Ataru were just two of the forms I use. I also use the forms called Soresu, Jar'Kai, Makashi and Niman. Because I've learnt all of these forms, it had allowed me become one hell of a fast and strong duellist.

Soon, all the acolytes I was facing were dead. I did a quick body count: over twenty of them lying lifeless at my feet. I deactivated my lightsabers and made my way to the entrance of the Temple, quickly making my way to the Ebon Hawk.

I quickly fired up the ship and soon I was airborne. However, as soon as got the ship off the ground, the ship rocked slightly. I looked out my window and saw that there was a small battalion of Sith droids firing at the ship. I knew the Hawk could withstand blaster shots, but there was a limit as to how much it could take. Feeling the need to get off this planet, I shot upwards into the clouds.

I finally got back into space, suddenly feeling better, though I was riddled with guilt. Alec was down there...fighting for his life or possibly dead.

I heard the radio speak through the console. "Percy, is that you?"

Jason. "Yeah, it's me pal. Listen, get the Phantom ready to get us back to the Republic as soon as possible."

"Why, what's going on?" the son of Zeus asked back.

I didn't want to get him worried and panicked, but I knew he needed to hear it anyway.

"The Sith are back. I think they're preparing for war."
