Chapter Seventeen

I slowly made a glass tube, big enough to fit Igor, but not big enough to fit anything else (like a human), and connected it to the bottom of the Olympic pool, and the bottom of the bedroom tank. Then, I gave each land/air creature a little bracelet that would keep them from going anywhere they weren't suppose to while I opened up the tanks at the top. I knew that I needed to keep them safe, but I also needed to keep them away from the team. Before I let the land/air creatures roam free, I made them swear to never harm a friend, furniture, or any other animal that lived here. I then gave them the strict ability to become intangible, because I wouldn't always be there to open doors. All of the animals seemed to be happy with this new development, and I smiled a bit to myself. I crawled back into the water, only to find Poloí, the octopus, in the far corner of the pool, staring straight at me. 'Hello Poloí. How are you doing today? Do you like the darkness in that corner?' If an octopus could nod its head, that's what he just did. 'Yes, my Lord. I find it greatly relaxing. What are you doing in here though? I thought you would want to spend more time with the other creatures.' I chuckled. 'I have no preference of which, I like you all. Though I don't know what a certain Avenger will say to this when they find out.' I could see Poloí grow interested. 'Hmmmm.. Well, maybe you could invite this person here, but say that they mustn't yell or grow angry. Then they might take it calmly  and you will be able to guess their reaction, my Lord.' I laughed at the way Poloí didn't know how the world worked. 'Ah, you are a great jokester Poloí. That's what I love about you. But could you please cut out the 'my lord' stuff? I just want to be called Percy.' The octopus rolled its eyes. 'As you wish, my Lord.' I sighed, smiling and shaking my head. We sat (swam? I am a seaweed brain after all) there, talking as the hours flew by. Every now and then my ADHD mind would remember something to do to my floor, so after those couple hours, I had a ward around the whole floor that worked almost like the one at Camp Half-Blood, except someone could only enter if I granted them access, not if they were a demigod. JARVIS interrupted our new 'Bro Time', because it was time for me to go to dinner. "JARVIS, please tell the Avengers that I will be down shortly. Can you also locate Skiá and ask her to come to my floor, but in Ancient Greek?" I was wondering if he'd be able to speak different languages. "Of course, my Lord. Wait just a moment." I turned to Poloí. 'Goodbye. I must go dine with the owners of this fine establishment. Have fun with scaring the fish, just don't hurt them.' Poloí waved one of his many tentacles. 'Of course not, my Lord. I would never dream of it. Now go! You have food to eat!' I chuckled and swam back up to the surface. "Lord, I believe that Skiá is headed in your direction now and the Avengers have heard your reply. Have a good evening, Lord Perseus." A scowl appeared on my face. "Don't call me 'Lord Perseus', JARVIS. I would like you to call me Percy. And thank you for telling me of the dinner." With that, I walked into my room, pulled on a long-sleeve shirt (I still hadn't had one from before) and started the long trek down stairs to get to the living room/kitchen floor. About halfway to the correct floor, I stumbled into a panting Skiá. I chuckled. "Vous avez besoin d' un peu d'aide là-bas, petit?" (Tr: You need a little help there, little one?) She looked at me with pleading eyes, and I carried her in my arms the rest of the way.

Skiá's POV (didn't see that comin' huh? Well, dogs CAN have a point of view, don't-chya know)

I usually really hate admitting to being small, but if it can make the Clint one jealous, I'm all for it. I snuggled into Percy's arms and lay there, finally comfortable, and smug. When we reached the correct floor, I smelt the wonderful aroma of food. I licked my nose in anticipation (what? A dog's instincts are very hard to stop). Percy walked to the table and when I saw the love sick fool, I made sure to look him straight in the eyes as I snuggled into Percy's chest more, licking his shirt a few times (it looked like a dog thing to do to everyone else, hehe). I could smell arousal and jealousy drifting in my direction, from the archer. I internally scoffed, but Percy heard me. "Quel est le problème Skiá? Ça va?" (Tr: What is wrong Skiá? Are you ok?) I looked up at his pretty eyes. Ils me taquinent avec de la nourriture, puis me déçoivent avec le genre de chien. Je veux l'alimentation humaine. (Tr: They tease me with food, and then disappoint me with the dog kind. I want human food.) Percy smiled lightly at me. He gently placed me on the table and then went to get our food. We had hotdogs, quinoa, and broccoli, but I don't think anyone ate the broccoli. After I finished Percy and I's meals, Clint threw in a curveball. "Percy, why aren't you eating?" I could see Percy tense slightly, I let out a low growl. "I was just thinking about some stuff. Nothing to worry about. Now, if you'll excuse me, I will be going to my room." Percy got up, and ready to go when Steve muttered something. "No...." Percy looked at him sharply. "Excuse me?" Steve's eyes narrowed at his tone. "I said you may not be excused. I want to know what has been bothering you Percy. I worry for all of my teammates, and seeing how you have just been added to that list, I worry for you more. Tell us the truth, please... Why didn't you eat?" At Steve's little outburst, Clint and Tony were staring while Bruce and Natasha were nodding their heads along with it. I snarled lowly again and hopped onto Percy's shoulder. "Uhhhh. I was just thinking about my pets. They are trapped in my floor, when they should be free. I did create them in a small environment, so they should adapt, but still...... It doesn't feel right." I saw a flicker of thankfulness and confusion in Steve's eye while Tony rudely ruined the vibes in the room. "Wait. You have more pets?! Why didn't you tell me?! They could trash the whole tower and destroy my technology.... And.." Blah blah blah, I wasn't listening. "Do you just want to see it then?" Tony stopped his rambling and looked at Percy, nodding his head along with everyone else. So, we all set off for the elevator, except Percy and I, we took the stairs (of course).
