Chapter Fifteen
Gun shots and pained screams could be heard coming from the speakers. "This is my mind. I have seen horrors that would put all of you combined, including you Tasha, to shame. But do not fear me. I am help, and am loyal. Be my friend and we will triumph over evil. Be my enemy and hope that you never meet me again. This is one of your only warnings. So...... What do you guys wanna do? I have some fan mail that I need to respond too." My awesome voice rang through the speakers, and then everyone was staring at me. I gave them my troublemaker smirk. "What?" Tony looked at me with a little bit of respect. "I'm starting to like you kid." I stared at him blankly. "Im not a kid, call me Percy." Father (lol, I typed Thor in by accident and autocorrect changed it to Hot 😂) and Clint both smiled widely while the rest looked at me with contemplative looks. "Are you the kid we took in a year ago?" Natasha asked. I nodded, a smirk back on my face. Father came over and hugged me. "I'm glad you told them at least this much, son." Father whispered quietly. (Who knew he could do this?!) I nodded slightly, and patted his back. "So... What are we gonna do?" Clint gained a sparkle in his eyes. "Let's play Call of Duty!" I smiled lightly at his energetic behavior, finding it kinda cute. Cute? What the heck happened to Siren? The cool, mysterious, and sexy spy.....?Whatever. I walked after Clint with the rest of the Avengers. Clint sat in front of the TV, while Father, Bruce, and Steve plopped on the couch behind us. Natasha sat in the side chair, with Tony in the opposite one.
Third POV
Everyone was watching Percy and Clint as they were setting up Call of Duty. Natasha and Clint picked up on the confusion on Percy's face when Clint handed him a controller. "Have you ever played Call of Duty before Perce?" Percy shook his head. "What do these buttons do..... Wait, is this electric?!" Was heard just before the TV blew up. Percy quickly jumped up, receiving all of the injuries as he shielded everyone from the blast. Everyone sat in shock for a few moments after the blast, not believing what happened, but then they sprang into action. "Percy! Are you alright?!" Clint yelled, his ears not completely healed from the blast. "Yeah.... I'm... good..." Once the smoke cleared, Steve and Bruce felt guilty, while Thor was sad, Tony was confused, and Clint and Natasha were awed. They all had grudgingly respected him, and now they fully trusted him too. Who would save unfamiliar people from danger if they were an enemy? There stood Percy, covered in soot, embedded and scratched by little pieces of electronics, and covering his ears from the blast. Thor realized the situation and offered to help. Percy shook his head and headed to the kitchen. "Percy. You cannot eat after an explosion! We need to bring you down to the medical bay to heal your wounds! Yo-" Percy flipped around on silent feet. "Silence Bruce. I'm handling it." With that, Percy stumbled to the faucet, still on silent feet, and opened the tap. Water came rushing out and covered Percy, head to toe. Slowly, the water around Percy grew tinted red. The electronic pieces melted out of his skin, and the skin grew back together, leaving new scars to be seen on his body. Bruce was nearly in tears at the sight of his condition. When the water went down the drain, Percy turned to Bruce, only to find him staring at his chest. Percy looked down, and saw his chest was bare. His face filled with panic and he rest for he team walked in. "Percy...." Bruce whispered, feeling terrible. Percy's eyes were wide with panic, but then he relaxed. He snapped his fingers and a plain blue shirt materialized on his toned, but scarred body. Not being able to control his actions, Clint walked over to Percy and hugged him. At first Percy stiffened, but then he slowly relaxed and wrapped his arms around Clint too. After a few minutes of silence, Tony couldn't hold it in. "Could you two stop hugging and ruining the mood? Percy, why did the TV blow up?" At this, Percy realized what he was doing and let go, so did Clint, except his face was beet red. Percy chuckled at Clint's face, and then grew serious. "I think it had to do with my old fear. I should be over it now, but before I didn't have the ability to hide my mutant-ness, and so people could track me through technology. But then, a couple months ago, I finally gained the ability, so now there is no problem. Let me go fix the TV for you." Tony shook his head. "Nah, it's-" Percy did a one-eighty. "Of course I have to fix it. I broke the TV, so now I fix it. Watch, it'll be done in like, five minutes." Tony scoffed, but followed none-the-less. The rest of the avengers were curious as well, so they followed Percy too. Percy took one look at the TV and activated all of his building/fixing powers that he had, because he knew that fixing it would take some skill. Tony didn't believe that he could fix it in five minutes while Clint, Bruce, Steve, and Natasha thought that he was in over his head. Thor was just excited to see his son in action. "JARVIS, set a timer to go off after five minutes, and play Rise by Katy Perry until then."
Percy's POV
"Yes Lord Perseus. The timer starts now." I smirked at Tony's astonished face. I was, after all, the son of the God of Electronics. I turned to the destroyed device and offered my apologies. I looked and searched for what to fix and found several things. I would need to replace the screen, fix the screen box, fix the wires, realign the wires, and so on. I took a deep breath and started.
I won't just survive
Oh, you will see me thrive
I smashed the rest of the screen and took it off.
Can't write my story
I'm beyond the archetype
I materialized another and set it aside.
I won't just conform
No matter how you shake my core
'Cause my roots, they run deep, oh
I fixed the DLP chips with some electric magic.
Oh, ye of so little faith
Don't doubt it, don't doubt it
I checked the DLP lights which were good.
Victory is in my veins
I know it, I know it
I re-aligned the wires.
And I will not negotiate
I'll fight it, I'll fight it
I used my powers over the air and water to check the insides of the wires and components.
I will transform
When, when the fire's at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They're whispering, you're out of time
I realized that they were all good, except the reception cable was completely fried.
But still, I rise
This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in, think again
I completely replaced that, with careful hands.
Don't be surprised, I will still rise
I must stay conscious
Through the madness and chaos
So I call on my angels
I made sure that the blacklight was good.
They say
Oh, ye of so little faith
Don't doubt it, don't doubt it
I had to repair all of those.
Victory is in your veins
You know it, you know it
And you will not negotiate
Luckily, those were easy.
Just fight it, just fight it
And be transformed
I decided to add a little something extra to the reception cable.
'Cause when, when the fire's at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
Now, JARVIS can show video feed on the TV screen.
They're whispering, you're out of time
But still, I rise
I fastened the screen back onto the TV and melded them together.
This is no mistake, no accident
I smirked at Tony as I turned it on.
When you think the final nail is in, think again
Don't be surprised, I will still rise
I changed to the JARVIS channel.
Don't doubt it, don't doubt
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Everyone could see the amount of time I had left.
You know it, you know it
Still rise
One and a half minutes.
Just fight it, just fight it
Don't be surprised, I will still rise.
"Ha. Bet you didn't see that comin'. JARVIS, you can turn off the timer and music now, thank you." I heard both things close off, and the screen went blue. "Your welcome, Lord Perseus." I changed the channel back to Video One, and left it there. "Clint, you can play. I don't really feel like it. Anyone can find me in my pool on my floor. See ya. Oh, and Tony, you might want to close your mouth. I've heard that flies don't taste so good this season." I smirked at him, winked at everyone else, and exited the room. It was priceless. Natasha was looking on in respect, as was Steve, while Bruce was a little pale, Father was overjoyed, and Clint wouldn't look at me, but I could tell that he was smiling. As I made my way past the elevator, I had to control my breathing. They still reminded me of the Doors of Death, and I couldn't get over my fear of them, at least, not yet. I walked up all of the flights of stairs (not even slightly winded), and finally reached my pool. I dove in and relished in the feeling of being in one of my main father's domains. Once I reached the bottom, I just laid there, thinking. After a about half an hour, I grew guilty with my thoughts. I will always keep my animals in such small places. They were made to be free and roam. I took that away from them. How could I give them space? My mind processed all of these things, but I wasn't the son of knowledgeable gods for nothing, so I quickly figured out an answer. I could grant the sea creatures access to my Olympic pool, the air creatures access to this floor (and not around the elevator or stairs encase someone uninvited comes up), and the land creatures access to this floor (with the same conditions as the air creatures). I slowly swam to the surface and began my remodeling.
Have a great time watching or being at the Olympics! I just saw one of my most favorite things in this HUGE event. (I am an American after all)
I give all rights of this photo (if there are any) to the 2016 Olympic committee... Blah... Blah... Blah. I wasn't really listening ;). Ciao!
