Meeting the Gang

"How many cards does one man own?" Nico asked aloud when we were escorted into the shop.

My first thoughts were, Holy shit! Yugi's grandfather had enough cards in this store to supply an army of duellists. Literally, there were cards on shelves and on the walls. There were boxes with stacks of cards in them; booster packs hanging on the windows. It was like card heaven in here.

The blonde teenager, who I heard his name is Joey, had helped me sit down on one of the couches in the back room. Jason had managed to limp onto the seat next to me while Nico just collapsed on the floor, disoriented and shaking his head a few times like he was coming off a sugar rush.

I looked at the girl named Teá. "Thanks."

Teá smiled. "Don't mention it. You looked as if you needed help. You're lucky that me and Joey here was at the right place at the right time."

Joey gave me the same smile. "Man, and I thought I saw all kinds of freaky stuff with Pegasus and everything, but people coming out of a portal? Now that's new."

"Believe me when I say that this normally doesn't happen to us," I told them. I winced as my head started pounding again. "Ah, this headache is literally killing me. You wouldn't happen to have any painkillers around here for my friends, do you?"

"Well, I do have those lying around in the supply cabinet over here," an old voice said. I looked over to the door frame, and saw the infamous Solomon Muto - the owner of Kame Game card store. He had dark grey hair, with the same colour going to his beard; his eyes were a shade of dark purple; he wore white and dark green baggy clothing and he had an old wrinkly smile plastered on his face. He was a short fellow, but I could see the stern look in his eyes.

He went to one of the cabinets and brought out a box of medical supplies. He brought out the painkillers and handed them over to me, Jason and Nico, along with a glass of water each.

I declined the painkiller, making everyone but Nico and Jason frown.

"You're refusing the painkiller?" Joey asked in confusion. "But you said you had a headache."

"The water helps me out the most," I answered him, drinking my glass of water.

"Okay," Teá said wearily. "But I think you should get that leg of yours sorted out. You've clearly broken it."

I nodded hesitantly. But before I could even say anything, another new voice called out from the store.

"Grandpa, I'm home!" a male voice greeted. A new person walked through the door and I nearly fainted from the awe that completely overwhelmed me.

It was Yugi Muto, the King of Games.

His hair was styled into five spikes, and it started off as blonde until it went completely black with an outline of reddish purple. His eyes were a mixture of dark purple with a hue of red in it. He wore the same school uniform as Joey, but Yugi somehow made it look more gothic - a buckled collar around his neck; he also wore a belt that wrapped twice around his waist; when he rolled his sleeves up slightly, I could see that he wore a black metal wrist band on each wrist. The thing that surprised me the most - he looked no more than fifteen years old.

But then came the most weird thing he wore around his neck - hanging on a chain, was what looked like an upside down golden pyramid, with the Egyptian eye of Ra in the centre. By looking at it, I could tell that it was like some sort of puzzle by looking at the grooves in it.

When he saw me and my friends, he frowned before settling for a kind smile. "Oh, hello there. I'm-"

"Yugi Muto, the King of Games, world renowned duellist who defeated Pegasus at Duellist Kingdom," Nico finished his sentence. "Yeah, we know who you are."

I looked at Nico with an annoyed expression. "Nico, there's no need for interrupting, is there?"

He shook his head. "Sorry, Percy. I'm just a little bit unnerved by the fact that we're in Domino City, when a moment ago we were just in America."

Yugi frowned. "Just in America a moment ago? Okay, that makes no sense at all. What do you mean by that?"

I sighed, before looking at Yugi. "Sorry about Nico's behaviour. He gets a little wary about new places, especially when it comes to this place in this part of the world." I held out my hand. "My name is Percy Jackson. Over there on my right are my cousins, Jason Grace and Nico Di Angelo."

Yugi kindly shook my hand. "Nice to meet you." He then looked at my belt, where my deck holder was attached. "You a Duellists as well?"

I nodded, holding up my deck. "Yeah, have been since the game came out. Jason and Nico over there," I pointed to my cousins, who held up their decks as well, "also play the game."

"Oh, boy," Joey said excitedly, rubbing his hands together. "More duellists? Man, I can't wait to see what you're made of!"

I leaned back slightly from him. I looked at Yugi. "Is he always like that?" I asked, pointing a thumb at Joey.

Yugi laughed awkwardly, running a hand through his hair. "He's a little eccentric."

"No kidding," Nico said sarcastically. "I seriously hope I won't have to deal with another hyperactive guy. I've had it up to here with dealing with Leo as it is."

Jason laughed, clapping Nico on the back. "Ah, don't worry about it. I'm sure Joey ain't that hyper."

"Hey, who said I was hyper?" Joey asked. He pumped the air in excitement. "I'm just a duellist with a passion for duelling! Ever since I came second in the Duellist Kingdom tournament, I've been known to be the second best Duellist next to Yug over here!"

"Yeah, I heard about that," I told him. I raised an eyebrow. "Joey Wheeler. You use a deck based mostly on Warrior Type monsters, mixed with a few gambling cards. However, there's a few dragon type monsters in your deck, such as your ace monster: the legendary Red Eyes Black Dragon that you won from Rex Raptor."

"Wow, someone looked at my profile," Joey said with a smug smile. "So, what do you think of my duelling style? Pretty cool, huh?"

I raised an eyebrow again. "No offence, but I thought you played pretty crap to begin with."

(Joey does an anime fall down)

Teá and Yugi laughed loudly at Joey, as if this was a regular thing.

"Oh, yeah?" Joey asked cockily. "Let's see what you got then, if you think that my deck is not powerful."

Jason and Nico looked at me, with a worried look. They both had their decks with them, but I didn't have my regular deck. I had this new deck that I didn't even know how to use. I quickly got my deck out of my deck holder and quickly checked through it. My eyes widened when I saw what was inside. I mean, there were dragon based monsters in here that I could seriously work with, along with cards that support them, as well as some pretty cool traps and spells that help me summon them easily, as well as bring them back from the graveyard and the banished pile, as well as cards that protect them from an battle damage. Then of course was the Dragon that I saw earlier from the crater - the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. There were also Warrior type monsters that I were familiar with - such as Vorce Raider and Dark Blade.

"Okay then," I said to Joey, whose smug smile vanished. "Let's see what you've got."

I got up shakily, and limped over to the nearby table, sitting down on the chair and placing my deck to my right. I quickly sorted out the fusion monsters and these silver based cards that were apparently called Synchro monsters. I decided to research about them later.

"Are you sure about this?" Teá asked in concern. "I mean, you do look a bit pale and you have got a broken leg as well. Are you sure you can concentrate on a duel with Joey?"

I nodded sincerely. "I'm never one to back down from a challenge. And I got that attitude thanks to my wife." I looked at my deck, smiling slightly. "It's annoying really."

Jason chuckled, patting my shoulder. "I feel for you. Really, I do."

Joey looked at me. "I didn't know you were married."

I held up my left hand, where my engagement ring was revealed. "Well duh, why do you think I have this on my hand? Look, never mind that. You can go first, since you have more experience."

"Well, don't mind if I do," he said with a smug smile again. He drew five cards from his deck and the duel began.

Joey: 4000 LP
Percy: 4000 LP

"I draw!" Joey drew an additional card from his deck. "First off, I summon Alligators Sword in attack mode!"

(Alligators Sword - 1500/1200)

"This battle ready lizard can attack and move faster than the speed of sound!" he said. "Next, I'll throw a facedown card and then end my turn. Let's see if you can get past that."

I nodded, drawing a card from my new deck. "My turn then."

I looked at my hand, which made me widen my eyes slightly. My hand contained Blue Eyes White Chick (my own made up monster), Blue Eyes White Dragon, Pot Of Greed, Jar Of Greed, Mystical Space Typhoon and Spiritual Swords Of Revealing Light.

"Okay then," I said, after reading my cards effects. "First off, I activate the spell card called Mystical Space Typhoon. This card allows me to destroy any facedown or face up spell or trap card on the field, so I'll choose that facedown of yours."

"Hey!" Joey exclaimed, as he was forced to send his facedown (Kunai With Chain) to the graveyard. "I was going to use that! No fair!"

"Next," I said, picking out one of my monsters, "I summon...Blue Eyes White Chick!"

(Blue Eyes White Chick - 1000/1000)

This card had the image of a baby Blue Eyes White Dragon trying to come out of its egg, while it was in the landscape of a blue lightning storm.

Everyone's eyes popped open. "Another different Blue Eyes Dragon?" Nico and Jason exclaimed at the same time.

"Where did he get something like that from?" Teá asked in surprise.

"I haven't even heard of a Blue Eyes card like that before," Solomon said, impressed.

"Neither have I," I said honestly. "Before I came here, I found this deck in a capsule in the middle of a crater. I knew something was up, but the next thing I knew, me and my cousins here got enveloped in some sort of light and we ended up here in Domino City. Even I can't fully explain what happened."

Yugi nodded, understanding. "To be fair, it sounds like you've got a complicated life just like me and my friends have. So, you're not the only one. And besides, you've actually managed to bring out a new Blue Eyes card no one has seen before. Though I don't know why you placed him in attack mode, when he's five hundred points weaker than Joey's monster."

"Oh, but there's more to that," I said smiling. "You see, this little guy has a special ability, apparently. I can tribute this card, and in doing so, it allows me to special summon his dad from my hand, deck or graveyard."

"It's dad?" Joey frowned. A second later, his eyes widened in shock. "Oh, no way! Don't tell me that you're gonna-"

"That's right," I said in a singing voice, as I discarded my Blue Eyes White Chick to the graveyard. "I special summon from my hand...the Blue Eyes White Dragon!" I slammed the card down on the field, revealing the monster card with the image of the Blue Eyes White Dragon on it.

(Blue Eyes White Dragon - 3000/2500)

Joey leaned back in shock. "Blue Eyes White Dragon?! Oh, man - my Alligators a goner!"

"Precisely," I said. "Who's the smug one now? Now I'll destroy your Alligators Sword with my Blue Eyes, so you lose fifteen hundred Life Points in total!"

Joey: 2500 LP
Percy: 4000 LP

"Okay, you got a lucky shot there pal," Joey admitted. "But I'll still defeat you."

"We'll see," I said, picking out my second magic card. "Next, I play Pot Of Greed. Now, this card allows me to draw an additional two cards from my deck. Then to finish my turn, I place two cards facedown. Your move, Joey."

"Why, thank you very much," he said, drawing a card. "First up, I activate MY Pot Of Greed as well, so that means I can draw two cards from my deck, bringing my hand total to six cards. Next up, I play Axe Raider in defence mode."

(Axe Raider - 1700/1150)

"Then, I end my turn with two face downs as well," he finished with two hidden cards facedown.

"I activate my trap card," I said, revealing my Jar Of Greed trap card. "Thanks to my Jar Of Greed, I can draw an additional card from my deck, as well as draw a card since I'm still entitled to draw as it is."

I drew a card thanks to Jar Of agreed, and then drew another card from my deck as it was still my draw phase. That brought up to four cards in my hand to work with. I looked at my new hand and checked the cards out: Statue Of The Wicked, Ancient Rules, A Wingbeat Of Giant Dragon and Krystal Dragon. I smiled slightly.

"Okay, here goes," I said, picking the trap card in my hand. "I place one card facedown, and then activate this: A Wingbeat Of Giant Dragon. This card allows me to send my Blue Eyes White Dragon back into my hand, and when I do that, I'm allowed to destroy every spell and trap card on the field."

"Aw, come on!" Joey said in an annoyed tone, as he reluctantly sent his two facedown cards (Graceful Dice and Negate Attack) to the graveyard. "Really?! That's twice you've destroyed my face downs! Give me a break!" He then noticed me sending my two face downs to the graveyard, and smiled. "Ha! I forgot that A Wingbeat Of Giant Dragon also destroys your face downs as well. Maybe you're not as tough as you seem."

I smiled slightly. "You wish. One of my face down traps was Statue Of The Wicked, and when it's destroyed because of a card effect, it leaves behind a Wicked Token to protect me."

(Statue Of The Wicked Token - 1000/1000)

"Okay, I take that last statement back," Joey staid in surprise. "I didn't expect that."

"And now I sacrifice my Token to summon this: Krystal Dragon!"

This monster was an effect monster, with the image of a dark blue dragon completely made out of shining dark blue crystal.

(Krystal Dragon - 2500/1000)

"That's a pretty card," Teá said in a impressed tone. "A dragon made entirely out of crystal. Now that is what I call a dragon that I would want in my deck."

"Hey, hey!" Joey exclaimed at Teá. "Whose side are you even on?"

"Joey, calm down, pal!" Yugi said to Joey, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Teá is only looking at Percy's cards. Even you have to admit that he has got talent with these cards."

"Okay, I'll admit that," Joey said, sighing through his nose. "Okay, fine. Go ahead and attack."

"I end my turn," I said.

Joeys eyes popped open. "Say what now?"

I smiled. "I'm letting you have a shot at me. But before I do, I activate my last magic card from my hand: Ancient Rules. Thanks to this, I can summon a level five or above monster from my hand as long as it's a normal type monster, and I choose my Blue Eyes White Dragon."

(Blue Eyes White Dragon - 3000/2500)

"Aw man, two high levelled dragons that I have to work with?" Joey asked in awe. "Man, I better come up with a way to get around those monsters, because with only twenty five hundred Life Points, I'm a sitting duck." He growled, his hand hovering above his deck. "Come on, Lady Luck. I draw!"

He looked at his drawn hand and smiled. "Alright! I activate Card of Sanctity! Now both of us can draw cards from our deck until we're holding six of them!"

I frowned, but drew six cards from my deck, while Joey drew three new cards from his.

"Now, you're talking!" he literally screamed. "I activate Polymerization! Now thanks to this, I can summon a monster from my fusion deck, by sending fusion material-"

"We know what it does, Wheeler," Jason groaned in annoyance. "Just play the damn card already!"

Joey huffed. "Fine with me, blondie."

Jason snarled. "Why you suck up, little-!"

"I fuse together my Flame Manipulator and Masaki The Legendary Swordsmen to summon this: the Flame Swordsman!"

A purple card with the image of a warrior in dark blue and orange armour holding a bright orange sword was played.

(Flame Swordsmen - 1800/1600)

"Next, I activate my Salamandra magic card! This equip spell card increases my pyro type Warrior by seven hundred points, making it equally strong as your Krystal Dragon!"

(Flame Swordsmen - 2500/1600)

"Then, I activate another equip spell card: Legendary Sword! This boosts my warriors attack and defence points by three hundred, making him stronger than that big crystallised Dragon of yours."

(Flame Swordsmen - 2800/1600.)

"Say bah-bye to your Krystal Dragon!" Joey said in a slightly mocking tone.

Joey: 2500 LP
Percy: 3700 LP

I sent my dragon to the graveyard. "Big mistake, Joey."

"Huh?" he frowned.

"When my dragon does battle with another monster, or if it gets destroyed by one of your monsters, its special ability activates," I explained, "meaning I get to add a level eight dragon type monster from my deck."

"Uh oh," he said in a nervous tone.

"And guess what?" I said, as I looked through my deck and picked out another Blue Eyes card. "I'm bringing out another different Blue Eyes card - one that you'll see in one moment."

Joey growled. "I set a card facedown, switch my Axe Raider to defence mode, and end my turn."

"Fine with me," I said, drawing a card from my deck. My eyes widened in joy.

"Dude, you are screwed," I chuckled. "This is where the fun begins! By showing a Blue Eyes White Dragon that's in my hand..." I flipped my second Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand and revealed it to Joey. "...I can special summon this new and improved Blue Eyes."

"Another special summon?"

"Yep," I said, picking the newest monster out of my hand. "Say hello to the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"

The effect monster had the image of a Blue Eyes, however it looked more crystallised in some parts and electricity was sparking off of it. Striking across its neck and wings and spear tipped tail, blue stripes went up like sky blue lightning making it stand out across its snow coloured body.

(Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon - 3000/2500)

"Whoa!" Yugi exclaimed. "How many new Blue Eyes cards are there in your deck?"

"Quite a lot," I answered, before focusing on Joey again. "Now, my Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon has a very unique special ability. Once per turn, instead of attacking your monster, I can banish the card from the game and I choose that flamed up Swordsmen of yours."

"Oh, for the love of god!" Joey shouted as he removed his monster from play. "Why do you insist on destroying every card on my field?"

"It's about to get worse for you," I retorted, "because now I play the magic card known as Dragons Mirror!"

I played a green magic card. It had the image of a dragon trying to squeeze its way out of a mirror.

"Oh boy," Solomon said as he observed the duel. "That card is bad news for Joey."

Yugi looked at his grandfather with a frown. "Why is that Grandpa? What's so bad about this card?"

"Dragons Mirror allows the bearer to summon a dragon type fusion monster from his or her deck, by banishing the right monsters to summon that dragon," the old man explained. "You can be able to do that with monsters in either your field, hand or graveyard."

"So, it's like Polymerization but way more powerful?" Yugi summed up. "Okay, that's slightly concerning for Joey."

"Well, it should be, Yugi, because I'm fusing the Blue Eyes White Dragon on my field, with the Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand, and my Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon that's out on play," I told him.

"Oh no, not that card!" Joey exclaimed, leaning back in his chair.

"I fusion summon...Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" I shouted, picking out the newest Ultimate Dragon out of my fusion deck and placing on the table in attack mode.

The new fusion monster looked incredible. It looked as it's three heads were made out of pure glowing diamonds. It's tail reminded me of an axe and a spear point and it's eyes just glowed with white lightning.

(Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon - 4500/3800)

"Holy mother of god!" Teá exclaimed in shock and surprise. "That's incredible!"

"It's the newest version of Kaiba's Ultimate Dragon!" Yugi said in wonder.

"Yeah, and it's about to kick my butt!" Joey said in a stunned voice. "I've got no defence, no anything!"

"Time to end this!" I said. "I attack your Axe Raider with Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

"Not on my watch you don't!" Joey said quickly. "I reveal my facedown: Dragons Cry!"

A trap card shot upwards, revealing an image of a dragon type monster being protected by an energy stream, as a stream of energy crashed into it.

"Thanks to this trap, I get to special summon a dragon type monster from my deck, and it becomes the newest target," Joey explained. "So say hello to my ace; come on out, Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

I was a little excited to see his ace black dragon out on the field, but it was slightly saddening that I had to destroy the monster card. As soon as he sent Red Eyes to the graveyard, Joey looked up at me smiling hugely.

Joey: 400 LP
Percy: 3700 LP

"Jeez, you nearly had me there!" he admitted. "Too bad that I'm still in this game!"

I just gave him my signature smirk, which came out as really creepy to Joey.

"Okay, why are you smiling?" he asked me wearily.

"Because Axe Raider is sent to the graveyard as well," I said simply.

"What?!" everyone in the room exclaimed.

"Thanks to my Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragons special ability," I explained careful why reading the descriptive text on my fusion monsters card, "by sending a Blue Eyes fusion monster to my graveyard, I can attack again. So I send my Blue Eyes Twin Burst Dragon from my extra deck to the graveyard and attack your Axe Raider. So...sorry," I said shyly.

Joey: 400 LP
Percy: 3700 LP

"Damn," Joey said, looking like he was put into a corner. "This is becoming too tough to handle. Already you've sent some of my toughest monsters to the graveyard, or removed them from play. I've gotta take that Neo Ultimate Dragon of yours out. Otherwise I'm toast."

He drew a card from his deck. "First off, time to add some cards to my hand. I activate another Card Of Sanctity, allowing the both us to draw cards from our deck until we're both holding six cards in our hands."

Doing as his card instructed, Joey drew his six cards while I didn't since my hand already contained six cards. I looked at my cards and evaluated them quickly: Monster Reborn, Dedication Through Light And Darkness, Kuriboh, Trap Booster, Dark Magic Veil and Spell Economics. Pretty good hand, but I waited for what Joey had in store.

Wait a moment, I thought as my eyes widened slightly, looking back at my hand. Kuriboh? My little girls monster? So this deck is full of a mixture of different monsters. I didn't know that this deck had that kind of monster in it. Obviously I didn't look through it enough. It's like this deck is responding to me, and it's given me my little daughters monster to protect me.

I smiled at that thought. Zoe, I wish you could see this.

"Okay, here we go," Joey said, picking a card out of his hand and effectively bringing me back to the duel. "If it's a duel of dragons that you want, then it's a duel of dragons you'll get. But first off, I activate the magic card called Fissure!"

His magic card showed a orange clawed hand reaching out of a cracked chasm.

"This card automatically destroys one monster on the field and I choose your Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, since it's the only monster on your field."

I nodded. "Fair play," I admitted, sending my dragon to the graveyard.

"Next, I play Monster Reborn," Joey said, showing me the famous resurrection card. "With this, I can revive a monster from either my graveyard or your graveyard, but I think I'll just stick with mine. So, say hello to my good old buddy - the Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

He quickly took his dragon out from the graveyard, and placed it on the field in attack mode.

(Red Eyes Black Dragon - 2400/2000)

"Next up, I play the spell card known as Dragon Nails - this allows me to boost the strength of my dragon by six hundred points. So that's three thousand attack points staring right at you!"

(Red Eyes Black Dragon - 3000/2000)

"Next, I summon Rocket Warrior in attack mode!"

(Rocket Warrior - 1500/1300)

"It's time to end this!" Joey announced. "Both my monsters attack you directly! I win!"

"Oh, no you don't!" I said, picking Kuriboh out of my hand. "I send Kuriboh to the graveyard to prevent the damage caused by your Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

Yugi raised his eyebrows. "You use Kuriboh as well?"

I nodded. "I had no idea that Kuriboh was in this deck, but I'm thankful that he is."

"Doesn't matter, because you still take damage thanks to my Rocket Warrior, so you're down to twenty two hundred Life Points," Joey stated.

Joey: 400 LP
Percy: 2200 LP

I nodded. "You've obviously improved your deck drastically. I thought that I would've taken you out by now, but never mind. This is turning out to be a great duel."

Joey gave me an actual smile. "Told ya' that I'm tougher than I looked. And now it looks like I'm beating you. I was getting worried by all them Blue Eyes Dragons, but at least they're out the way now."

I raised my eyebrow. "They're the least of your worries, because it's not just them in my deck. I also got Magicians on my side, and I'm about to release some spellcaster power on you, Joey. So, if I were you, I'd get your game face on."

I drew a card a looked at it. Dark Magical Circle. "Yugi, you might want to pay attention to this because this move might get you interested."

Yugi frowned. "Why?"

"Because I'm activating the continuous spell card...Dark Magical Circle!" I announced.

The spell card had the image of a circular stone tablet, with ruin marks all over it, speaking a language that looked Egyptian.

"Dark Magical Circle?!" Yugi exclaimed in surprise. He looked at me in excitement and awe. "You use Dark Magician support cards?"

"Apparently so," I confirmed with a smirk. I looked back at Joey, who seemed to be sweating a little. "Thanks to this continuous spell card, when it's activated, I search the top three cards of my deck, and add a Dark Magician related card to my hand, and when I add that card to my hand, the other two cards get placed on the top of my deck in order I want."

I drew the three cards from my deck and looked at them. My eyes widened in surprise as I looked at the one card I needed. It was the Dark Magician, which completely shocked me to the core.

The design looked completely different compared to Yugi's Dark Magician. This one wore pure black magicians clothing, with a midnight dark staff. It's face was grey and it sported white hair coming out of its signature hood. In the background, it looked as if the Dark Magical Circle was locked in the background with an aura of dark magic enveloping it.

This deck has a Dark Magician in it? I thought to myself. Wow, now that's surprising. It seems this deck was made with a mixture of some of the most powerful monsters that existed. Well, if this deck wanted me to use it, then that's what I'm gonna do.

I looked up at Joey, smiling like a kid at Christmas. "You're not gonna believe this, but I've drawn the ultimate wizard himself!"

"No way!" Joey exclaimed. "You have one in your deck?"

"That's right!" I said excitedly, showing him the card. "I've drawn the Dark Magician himself! This is so cool!"

I placed Dark Magician in my hand, and the other two cards I drew (two cards that might actually help) I placed back onto the top of my deck. "Now, let's get down to business. I activate the magic card called Spell Economics. With this card, I don't have to pay any Life Points when playing a magic card that uses Life Points. Next up, I play this - Dark Magic Veil!"

This new spell card showed an image of a dark pink circle with several more Egyptian words on it, in front of an aura of dark blue smoke and fire.

"This card makes me sacrifice a thousand of my Life Points, but thanks to Spell Economics I don't need to. Plus, thanks to Dark Magic Veil, I get to summon a Dark attribute spellcaster from my hand. And so, thanks to this card, I summon the Dark Magician to the field!"

(Dark Magician - 2500/2100)

"Okay, now I'm impressed," Teá said with a small smile. "Not only does he uses dragon type monsters, but he has magicians in his deck as well. But not just any magicians, but also cards that support the Dark Magician."

"And there's more where that came from," I said. "Thanks to the fact that I've activated a magic or trap card this turn while Dark Magical Circle is in play, once per turn, I get instantly banish any card that's on your side of the field. So, adios Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

"NO!" Joey exclaimed. "That's my best card!"

"It doesn't end there!" I said, picking out another card from my hand. "Next up, I activate this - Dedication Through Light And Darkness!"

The magic card showed the image of the Magician Of Black Chaos emerging from a vortex of fire and pure light.

"Thanks to this, I can sacrifice my Dark Magician for something even better," I said, looking through my deck. I saw what I wanted and picked it out. "So, how about we see another Dark Magician monster?"

"Another?" Joey frowned, before his eyes widened. "No way, you got him in your deck?"

I nodded, sending my Dark Magician to the graveyard and picking my drawn card out. "By the effect of Dedication Through Light And Darkness, I summon the Dark Magician Of Chaos!"

I placed the Chaos Magician on the field in attack mode. It's card looked pretty cool - set across a background of red and black and orange, with another ancient seal set behind him, the Dark Magician Of Chaos looked pretty menacing with his pale blue face and yellow eyes. He wore dark black clothing, with a massive black hood that looked like horns with pink ringlets in it. It's staff was black as well, with pink patches on it.

(Dark Magician Of Chaos - 2800/2600)

"No way!" Yugi gasped in surprise. "It's one of the three Chaos Monsters! Those cards are extremely rare to get! And this one is the ultimate form of the Dark Magician, making it extremely tough!"

"That and the fact that he has a very handy ability ability," I said. "When he's summoned or special summoned, I get to add a magic card I used back from my graveyard. So I'll add my Pot Of Greed to my hand, and use right away. So I get the two cards I placed at the top of my deck, thanks to the Dark Magical Circle."

I drew the two cards and looked at them again: Graceful Charity and Dark Blade. "It's time this duel ended. Joey, you've been a tough opponent, but this ends here. I attack your Rocket Warrior with Dark Magician Of Chaos!"

Joey: 0 LP
Percy: 2200 LP

"Aw man," Joey said, as he ran a hand through his hair, sighing in defeat. "You're tough. I'll give you that. And I thought Kaiba was tough with the Blue Eyes White Dragon, and that Yugi was strong with the Dark Magician, but you took it to a whole new level. And in just three turns as well!"

"I admit that even though you have some high levelled monsters," Solomon said, "you certainly have ways of special summoning them perfectly. And I'm guessing that you've used similar cards before?"

I nodded. "My friends back in America told me that I have a flare for dragon based cards. There's no way you'll see me without my dragon deck. And now it seems that I'm the owner of this deck now."

I looked around and met each individual of Yugi and his friends, frowning. "Hey, wasn't there four of you? I remember seeing a news footage of you guys when you got back from Pegasus's island, and I'm pretty sure there was a fourth."

"Oh, Tristan?" Yugi asked. "Yeah, he went home to help his dad out."

I nodded, understanding. But before I spoke, I noticed something behind Yugi.

It looked like a transparent ghost like the ones I saw at Camp Jupiter, but it had the same colours and features as Yugi had, though it was slightly taller. It had the same hair style as him, and it looked as if it had its arms crossed. It had its back turned towards me.

"What is that?" I asked, never letting my eyes of it for one second. "Behind you - what is that?"

Yugi frowned, before realising what I was saying. He looked over his shoulder and his eyes widened in shock. The apparition vanished.

"Don't know what you're talking about," he said quickly, though I could see a sweat drop running down his face.

I raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. Just then, Jason yawned.

"Man, I'm beat," he said tiredly.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Nico said, yawning as well. "I could do with some sleep."

"Well, there is the guest bedroom that you can use," Solomon offered. "But I must warn you that it use to be Yugi's mothers room."

"We won't do anything to it," Nico assured him. "We don't normally trash anything that we step into..."

On and on he went, but I just kept my eyes on Yugi, who looked back at me in nervousness. There was only one thing that kept on repeating in my head.

Who and what exactly was that apparition I saw?
