Percy knew he got weird looks because of his cane. He was a bit used to it from the people who would visit his father but it was never on this scale. He knew going into this the cane would be for lack of other words an eye sore but he refused to use anything else.

"You know it's rude to stare." He said blankly. Most of the class looked away but one stayed.

"Can I ask what happened?" Bianca spoke softly as to not get in trouble with the teacher.

"Just an injury that didn't heal properly." He told her a half truth. Yes it didn't heal properly but it never had the time to.

Percy looked around the crowded lunchroom. He could hear a bit of every conversation that became white noise. He was nervous. Just standing there. He hadn't been to school in literal years.

"You can sit with me and my brother." He turned and say Bianca. He nodded.

She smiled as she walked into the crowd. Percy was quick to follow trying his best to keep up as she skillfully moved between the tables. He finally did when she stopped at a table whose only occupant was a boy. Percy knew this was the brother. He seemed to be two years older than his sister.

"Hey Bianca!" He smiled, "who's the new kid?"

"Nico this is Percy. Percy, this is my little brother Nico." She introduced the two.

"Hi Nico." Percy smiled. The two sat down as he moved his cane onto the seat next to him. Nico stared at it for a bit.

"What's with the cane?" he blurted.

"Nico!" Bianca gave the boy a look, "I raised you better than to just say things like that!"

Percy chuckled. "It's ok. He's a kid. I need the cane so that I can walk."

"But why?"

"I have a bad leg."

"What's wrong with it?"

"It got injured when I was young and didn't heal properly. Is that all?"

"I think so." He nodded as Bianca sighed. Soon they all went back to their meals.

Hi. I'm back. And it's August. Sorry for the wait, but I am back to my regular upload schedule.

Fun fact my birthday is on the 29 of August, which lands on a Saturday this year. And because the son of guidebook is getting updated, then you guys have until that time to send in questions.
