Chapter 2: training
A young Percy sat on the bed, staring at the cane his father gave him. To most people, it was an average cane with a slick black body and the heading piece being made from with a black material that seemed to hold the universe in it.
The cane was the perfect size for him for now. He struggled to stand for a few seconds before leaving the room. Even with his cane, it was apparent he had a very bad limp. It seemed like every step hurt.
The caretakers of the castle were always worried that he would fall with one wrong step and tried to do everything they could for him so he wouldn't have too.
This annoyed Percy quite a bit. He was a very stubborn child, after all. One of the servants who had been there for a bit longer than he walked up to him and carefully grabbed his arm.
"Please let me help you to the dining room," the man told him. The man had dark red hair and bright blue eyes that could be seen a mile away.
"No. I can walk without any help." Percy yanked his arm out of the man's grasp and continued walking. Limping. To the said room. He walked in to see chaos already there reading a newspaper in a language that he didn't recognize.
"Good morning, young Perseus." Chaos said with a small smirk.
"Hello, father." Chaos held back a flinch. "Will I start my training today?"
"Yes. Eat something, and we will get started." Percy nodded and started to munch on a red apple.

Percy stood leaning ever so slightly on his cane. Chaos stood across from him.
"For the next few weeks, we will be working on how long you can stand without your cane." Chaos spoke. "So hand it over."
Percy nodded and tossed it to him. He did better than the first primordial expected. Percy stood for about ten seconds before falling. Thankfully he landed on his right leg.

For the next few weeks, they would practice this until he could stand for more than 10 minutes without his cane if he hadn't used up a lot of energy before that.
The next thing they worked on was some sparring with the cane so that it would be Percy's best device and weapon. Of course, he would fall a lot from moving without his cane.
He got better and learned as quickly as he could. He was proud of how far he had come within a few weeks. It was great. But then again, great things never last.
Words: 435
Ok, so it's a bit shorter than usual, but I'll make up for it in later chapters. Remember to go to the son of guide book and choose what you want the next section to be about. Also, I might slow down a little due to hurting my arm a bit, but I will try my best to post chapters on time.
