Meddling In The Amusement Park

"I'm bored," Aphrodite complains from her spot on the couch.

Ares rolled his eyes and continued to throw axes at his target.

"I said I'm bored."

"I heard you," Ares grunts.

"What should I do?"

"I dunno. Your love magic stuff?"

"But my couples are perfect!"

"Mess them up then," Ares says finally turning to face the goddess. "Make the punks fight. A big fight. And some are Roman right? BOOM. War."

Aphrodite smiles. "Well maybe not that far. But... that's not a bad idea."

"Let's go on all the rides!" Leo cheers.

The group of friends decided to take a break from demigodly life to have a day of fun in the mortal world at an amusement park. This group?

Leo, Piper, Jason, Nico, Will, Percy, and Annabeth.

"Can we stay off the rides which go up really high?" Nico asks.

"Of course," Percy says. "They aren't your type right?"

"Here we go..."

"Let's go to the water park instead."

"No."

"What? Water isn't-"

"We have plenty of time to go or not go on a lot of rides," Annabeth says cutting off her boyfriend. The others agree and they begin to hit the rides.

"Do you understand?" Aphrodite asks.

Eros nods. "Temporary arrows. Screw stuff up. Then you are entertained. Correct?"

Aphrodite nods.

Eros sighs. "If I must."

As Aphrodite leaves Eros follow his mother's orders and searches for the demigods and drawing back his loaded bow as he starts taking aim.

"Where'd the boys go?" Piper asks.

"Not sure," Annabeth answers scanning around. "We were only in the bathroom for a few minutes."

Piper shrugs as they keep walking. Annabeth suddenly sways.

"You alright?" Piper asks.

Annabeth blinks. "Did I ever mention that I love your eyes?"

"Uh? Thanks? And no pretty sure you didn't."

"I should have."

"Okay..."

"I love your hair too. But your even better on the inside. That's saying a lot for a beautiful Aphrodite girl like you."

"Ummm-" Piper cuts off before she too sways. As she straightens she gives Annabeth a smile. "Who says we have to find the boys? Let's hang out just us."

"Ugh what is taking so long," Leo complains. "The line is getting longer."

"Go hold us a spot then," Jason says. "They'll hate us if they come back and we're gone."

"I'll wait with you," Percy shrugs. "I'm bored."

The two hurry to stand in line.

Leo stumbles and Percy grabs him to keep him from falling. Leo smiles and looks at Percy. "Ya know they say opposites attract?"

Percy rolls his eyes before he blinks looking back at Leo. "That's true. Fire and water for example."

"You know if we both go in the single riders line it will be faster and we can probably go just us?"

Percy smiles and leads Leo to the other line.

"I'm bored," Nico says.

"The sun is bright," Will nods.

"What?"

"Sorry I thought we we're stating pointless facts."

Nico rolls his eyes and Will gives him and peck on the cheek.

"And I'm the third wheel," Jason mutters.

Across the way a little girl falls and holds her arm beginning to cry. Will frowns and hurries over.

"Definitely a Apollo kid," Nico says smiling slightly in Will's direction.

"Jupiter kids are better," Jason states coming up behind Nico and wrapping his arms around the younger boy.

"What are you doing?"

"Hugging you. You always look like you need a hug."

"Well you can stop at anytime. That or I can punch you."

"Let's ditch Will."

"What? No I'm not- Where are we going?"

When Will comes back he finds Nico and Jason missing.

He blinks and looks around as Annabeth and Piper appear chatting and sharing cotton candy happily.

As he walks over he then sees Leo and Percy appear holding hands?

Will reaches the four. "Did I miss something?"

"You probably never realized how gray Annabeth's eyes are," Piper says.

"They are gray," Will nods.

"They're more than gray."

"Leo made me a water gun!" Percy shouts holding up a small metal contraption.

"You control water already..."

"So? This way it doesn't look weird if I shoot someone with water. Also he sets on fire. It's perfect!" Percy smiles and grips Leo in a hug.

"Okay.... um, where's Nico and Jason?"

"We saw them when we got off of the ride," Leo informs him. "Jason said that he needs to make the first date perfect."

Will nods. "Oh. Okay- wait? What? First date with who?"

"Nico, duh."

"No. No. No. I'm dating Nico. Jason's dating Piper."

Piper wrinkles her nose. "I'm with Annabeth."

"Uh, Percy?" Will turns back to him but Percy has his arm wrapped around Leo's shoulder and Leo around Percy's waist. That's answer enough.

Will nods slowly. "I'm uh- gonna get some water..."

"Ooh!" Percy says. "Open your mouth! I'll squirt you with the water gun!"

"Actually I need a bathroom," Will quickly runs off.

Will stares disbelieving as they leave the park.

He has become the 7th wheel of three weird couples. His eyes wander to Nico and Jason. If they weren't in public he would have sent an arrow through Jason's eye by now.

Nico and Jason wave goodbye as they were going to shadow travel elsewhere.

Will quickly shoots down the idea. "Nico you can't shadow travel. Doc-"

Nico gives Will a look. "Calm down. Why do you care anyway? Your not my boyfriend or anything."

Will's eyes open wide.

He looks back to the other four but the girls are laughing and Percy and Leo are holding hands and staring into each other eyes... slowly leaning in.

Suddenly, all except Will shiver and stand up straight.

"Gah what the Hades are you doing Valdez!?" Percy's shouts.

"ME!? What are you doing!? Were you trying to kiss me or something!?"

"Hades no! Annabeth tell him!"

"I'm lost..." Annabeth admits. "Things are kind fuzzy. Main thing I remember is Piper."

"Cause the two of you claimed you were dating," Will states.

"What!" Both shouts.

Will nods. "I was more than confused. It was Annabeth and Piper. Leo and Percy. And Jason and Nico."

"Oh my gods it's coming back..." Jason says eyes open wide.

"What happened?" Nico asks subtly moving away from Jason.

Will glares. "You tell me."

"Why are you glaring at- Oh. I remember now... sorry. I don't know what happened."

"Something is off," Piper comments. She pauses. "Love magic," she growls.

"She told me to," comments a voice. Out of nowhere comes Aphrodite and Eros.

"Eros," Nico growls.

Eros only gives a smirk.

"I'm not allowed to have a little fun?" Aphrodite asks innocently with a giggle.

Piper glares at her mother.

"Well I have things to do bye bye!" Aphrodite states eyeing a man walking out and following.

"So can I make it up to you?" Nico asks Will.

Will smiles. "Well..."
