Divided (Part 3)

Day Four:

Divided (Part 3)

"Don't you think we're being just a little rash Jason?" Reyna asks.

Jason didn't respond but he glanced at her. As always her expression was guarded. Jason sighed not able to get a read on her. The two have been busy pouring over books and scrolls looking for more information involving the Greeks.

"We shall not fight a war if we can help it," Reyna reminded him. "First we demand our prisoner. And discover why he would infiltrate us-"

"Then if they resist, war is declared," Jason finished. Reyna nodded in agreement.

"They are preparing for war," both praetors turn as Octavian walks in. A shredded stuffed duck in his hand. "They are preparing for war. So why aren't we?"

"We do not want a war Augur. We want our prisoner and information," Reyna  tells him.

"Why waste time with the 'Ambassador'? He was nothing but a fraud. The Greeks are preparing for war. All of their swords are sharpened and polished. He has gone back and told them and now we are nothing but sitting ducks. We-"

"That's enough Augur!" Jason shouted. "I will only fight those responsible-" he stops suddenly realizing what he had said. He took a breath to calm himself. "I'm going to my father's shrine."

He walked out without another word leaving the two behind. He barely paid attention to his surroundings. He couldn't help but think of his dream- nightmare. The one he was having before being harshly woken by the augur telling him he needed to arrest the Ambassador of Pluto for treason.

Children ran around. Some were playing basketball. Jason watched all of them confused. All wore a bright orange T-shirts and leather necklace with a few beads.

He looked behind him to see Camp Jupiter but looking forward again he saw all the other kids.

Kids were chasing each other with swords and shields. He finally made out the words "Camp Half-Blood" written on all of their shirts. What the Pluto was that?

He watched confused. He then looked further and saw many looming cabins. One was bright pink, another shining gold, one silver, one had barbed wire etc.

"My father is the god of war. You think you can beat me?" One kid said with a smirk while staring down another.

God of war? Mars...?

Wait...Were these kids demigods? What were they all doing here? Where were all the adults?

He watched everyone unsure of what  was going on. He then saw something that made him stare in shock.

A girl facing him. She was standing watching him.

She had spiky black hair but she had blue eyes that matched his. She was clad in silver and wore a silver crown of some sort on her head. A bow was slung over her back.

Her jaw dropped as she noticed him.

"J-Jason?" He couldn't hear what she said but he could read her lips. He stared at her for a moment. "Jason!" Finally the girl's black hair and blue eyes clicked in his memory.

"Thalia?" He asked in disbelief. He ran forward and she did the same. Only to collide into an invisible wall. He banged the glass trying to get to her.

"Thalia!" He shouted.

Behind her he could see the kids dressed with the orange shirts now in full armor running forward. One grabbed Thalia and she quickly punched him. But then there  were more of them, overwhelming her. Jason shouted her name and hit the glass again. He flipped his coin as it became a sword hacking at the glass to no avail. She screamed in protest as they dragged her off out of sight.

He sunk to his knees and rested his head against the cool glass. Breathing heavily as tears pricked at his eyes as he made a silent vow.

He had no idea who these "Camp Half-Blood" people are. But he would destroy all responsible for harming his sister.

What Jason didn't know was many many miles away a girl had just woken from a similar dream.

Thalia Grace had seen "Camp Jupiter". And she had seen her brother dragged away by kids in purple shirts and armor.

She wasn't sure what was going on but, she would kill who ever dared to harm her brother.
