Chapter 5: Adam's POV

Chapter 5: Adam's POV

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock. I groggily sat up. Children of Aphrodite are not early morning risers. Yes, I know. Laugh all you want. I won't care, I am a boy that likes to look my best. Whatever. I grabbed my bag that was packed with ambrosia and nectar for emergencies. Being in this quest is new. Usually children of Aphrodite weren't chosen to go on quests-- except Piper. Though, I felt honor, duty, and responsibility.

I was pretty good with a bow. I named it Excellentris. It seemed to bring me good luck. I put my Celestial Bronze arrows in its holder and slung it around my back. I was ready.

I ate a good nutritional breakfast to start off my day. The people that were going on this quest including me socialized for about thirty minutes. Soon afterwards, we left in the car to go to the NY harbor. Our boat was awesome for a quest. It had a lower floor. I walked down below. All of us slept in the same room, but that didn't annoy me. The beds were built into the wall. I put my bag on the top one and climbed the wall ladder. The design in my bed chamber was very skilled. It had Greek etchings and drawings of all the gods and goddesses. I found my beautiful mom. Also, there was a wall mini table and little drawers to hold my stuff. I even had my own wall light. I immediately fell in love with it-- not the Aphrodite mushy gushy love, just the design.

The people on the quest started filing in. They gasped at their sleeping arrangement designs. Some plopped into the beds and murmured, "Let's take a nap." I climbed down from my bunk and explored further. Thankfully, the bathrooms didn't have Roman style toilets. There were five small rooms for the bathrooms. It looked clean. This. Boat. Was. Awesome.

The dining hall had a large oval table with ten chairs. I then wondered how we would get food. I looked at the plates and glasses. These were the ones that gave whatever you asked for. A girl named Darci Zian, I had learned, came in from exploring the bathrooms.

"Hey," Darci mumbled.

"Hi," I replied.

"Did you see those bathrooms? Those were cool. I just feel bad we're dumping waste into the sea," Darci said.

"Waste?" I said.

"You know," she explained.

"Oh." Darci suddenly motioned for a cup to come near her. It obeyed and flew across the room. She was a daughter of Hecate. I didn't know it was that cool. I decided I would settle in my bunk. On the way there, I heard this girl Indie talking.

"I can navigate this ship south. I just don't know where we're going," she said.

"You'll figure it out," Earth said. I climbed the ladder and accidentally fell asleep on the mattress.
