Chapter 20: Adam's POV
Chapter 20: Adam's POV
First of all, Cleon's hair was neon pink. Aphrodite had done it, Aphrodite seriously was getting annoying. Grrrrr. "How about the game of crushes?" she said enthousiastically. Terror struck my face. No. This can't be happening.
"Ummmmm! No thank you, Aphrodite," I said nervously. Aphrodite apparently didn't like that.
"Oh, my dear boy. I know who you like. How about you go first?" she said mischievously. People looked at me ready for my answer.
"I'm not doing it," I said defiantly. Aphrodite got angry.
"Don't get me angry, Adam. Do it!" she charmspoke.
"I like Alexandria," I quickly replied. I snapped out of it. No! I told everyone. Now Alexandria will think I'm a creep. Instead, she sighed dreamily. Whoa. That wasn't what I expected. Aphrodite smiled.
"I love young love," she sighed. "Now, Ralph. What about you, dear?" Ralph's face turned beet red. This actually was getting good.
"Aphrodite, I really don't-" he started.
"Do it," she charmspoke again.
"Destania," he said. Weird. I never expected that. Destania looked shocked. Ralph looked like he was going to explode.
"How about you?" Aphrodite asked Earth. Earth didn't want to answer at all. She glowed-- literally-- from all the attention.
"It starts with a D," Earth hinted. I guessed that's all she wanted to say. Duke's eyes grew wide.
"Dionysus?" he asked shocked. Whoa. Take a hint, dude. She's talking about you. Earth smacked her forehead. I read her thoughts. She said, no stupid. It's you. I smiled and sighed. Young love. Wait. Aphrodite is getting to me. That's not a good sign.
"I wonder who," Earth said sarcastically. Duke finally got it. His eyes grew wide once again.
"Daedalus?! He's dead, Earth," Duke said.
"It's you, stupid," she said frusterated.
"Ouch," I said.
"Listen, Duke. I didn't mean it," Earth said apologetically. He grinned.
"Xenia, how about you?" Aphrodite asked.
"I-I don't know," she stammered.
"You're right, you don't know," Aphrodite said. "Maika?"
"It's too early to tell," Maika replied.
"Alright, demigods. I'm done. I've seen enough," Aphrodite said finally. I was relieved. She had totally embarrassed me. I averted my eyes. She turned into her true form. There was one thing I had forgotten. Alexandria forgot to look away. Oh no.
