A bit of one sided!Percico. The reason Percy searched so hard to find Nico and cared so much was because he'd always loved him but believed that Nico hated him. Now he has to watch him be happy with Will.

Percy was fed up.

He loved the way he smiled. He loved the way he laughed. He loved the fact that he was eating again. He loved that he was healthy. He loved that he finally let himself have fun.

But he hated the way none of it was with him.

Percy sighed, remembering the time he'd still had hope that maybe Nico could love him back.

Any hope he'd once had was gone the moment Will Solace waltzed into Nico's life. Percy couldn't help the bitter resentment that his heart held just for Will Solace. Don't get him wrong, he didn't want to feel that resentment but it just wasn't fair.

Percy had spent years loving Nico. He even tried his hardest to keep Nico's parentage a secret for as long as possible. And yet Will Solace doesn't even have to try and Nico is already opening up to him.

What did Will have that Percy didn't? What was Will that Percy wasn't? What made Will so special?

Percy couldn't help but feel like this was his own fault, just like everything else. He got people killed. He ruined people's childhood. He ruined people's lives. He'd basically been the cause of two wars, as well as the death of many.

He ruined people's lives the moment he stepped into them. That was just what he did after all.

Will was all smiles and cute dimples. Percy was all fake laughs and broken eyes. Will was all blonde hair and blue eyes. Percy was all black hair and green eyes. Will's blue eyes were endless, just begging you to get lost in them for hours on end. Percy's green eyes were cracked and broken, begging you to just look away already.
