Endangered Health

Warning: Toxic relationship.

Despite being such an unorthodox relationship, 'Percabeth' were seen as the golden couple.

The two had known each other since they were twelve, been on countless quests together. They went to Tartarus together.

They were also both omegas.

At first, no one expected it to work. Omega/omega relationships rarely do.

But here they are, three years after they got together and still going strong.

No one understood how they were making it work. They'd become role models for other omegas, relationships such as their own becoming a lot more common.

Omegas at camp were scheduled for a check up once a month.

Percy hadn't had a check up in years.

Chiron had been going through some of the camps old files when he came across Percy's, his last check up being before he even presented.

Percy presented at fourteen. His last and only check up had been when he was twelve. He was now nineteen.

Considering the fact that Percy's health could be in danger without them knowing, Percy's daily activities were cancelled and he was sent to the infirmary.

Percy didn't understand why he was suddenly sent to the infirmary.

"So, Perce. Do you know why you're here?"

Percy looked up from the ground, Will Solace standing in front of him.

Will was in charge of most omega check ups, his own being dealt with by one of his omega siblings.

"Erm, no. Chiron just told me that my activities were cancelled today and that I was to go to the infirmary immediately."

Will nodded, gesturing for Percy to take a seat, sitting in the chair next to the examination table and pulling out one of the camps files.

Will had a quick sift through the file's contents, sighing and turning to look at Percy with a worried expression on his face.

"It says here that you haven't had a check up since you first came to camp. You presented two years after that."

Percy gulped, his hands fiddling with the hem of his shirt as he tried to avoid eye contact with Will.

Taking note of Percy's actions, Will pulled out one of the question sheets usually used for these examinations.

"Alright Percy, I'm gonna ask you some questions. Is that alright?"

Percy nodded, not trusting his voice at the moment.

"Right, when was your last heat?"

When Percy didn't answer, Will looked up from the desk, Percy's face was bright red.

"Percy...?"

"I-I've never had a heat."

"You've...?"

Percy nodded, his eyes filling up with tears.

"Percy, have you ever taken any heat suppressants?"

Percy didn't answer at first. Eventually, he nodded.

"When did you take them?"

Percy looked down, too ashamed to meet Will's eyes.

"Since I was twelve."

"Since you were-? Percy. Do you still take them?"

Percy nodded, still not looking up.

"You've been taking heat suppressants for seven years? Why?"

"A-annabeth said..."

"Annabeth?"

Will's voice was low, anger slipping into his tone.

Will took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.

"Alright, for now, you're going to stop taking them. I want you to come here for daily check ups and we're going to try and sort this out. You do know there's a possibility of you being unable to have pups, right?"

Percy sniffled, the tears finally starting to fall.

"I-I know."

Will's face softened, standing up and pulling Percy in for a hug, his scent soothing Percy instantly.

When they pulled apart, he reminded Percy to stop taking the suppressants and that he needed to come for his daily check ups, starting tomorrow.

Once inside his cabin, Percy slid down the wall onto the floor, his head in his hands.

He cried. He sobbed until there was no tears left and he felt exhausted.

And then he remembered why he was crying in the first place.

He started crying again.

He wanted pups. He's always wanted his own pups. Even as a kid, that was one of his favourite things about presenting. The thought of his future pups.

And then he met Annabeth. Originally, when she first told him to start taking the suppressants, he had listened. Out of fear.

She had scared him. As a twelve-year-old unpresented omega, the things she told him freaked him out.

She assured him she was only trying to help.

So he listened. His body rejected them at first. He was a male, twelve-year-old unpresented omega. His body was bound to reject them.

She insisted that was just because they were new. That the more he took them the more his body would get used to them.

He listened. As she said, she was a daughter of Athena, she knew these things.

And then Annabeth presented at thirteen, took his first time.

She had convinced him that it would be better to lose it to his best friend - even though she wasn't even his best friend - instead of some arrogant alpha.

He didn't understand what she was saying. She was talking off of stereotypes. He knew plenty of nice alphas at camp. Surely she realised she was being stereopical.

And so he listened, despite still being a twelve-year-old, unpresented omega.

It wasn't at all pleasurable for him.

She told him that because he was the male omega, he was going to be the one to fuck her. It was how it worked.

He listened, he didn't know any different. How could he?

They became a sort of friends with benefits relationship.

By the time Percy presented, his body couldn't function without the suppressants.

It became even harder to abide by Annabeth's wishes.

He just wanted to submit.

But Annabeth wouldn't let him.

At sixteen, it was obvious Percy wouldn't be able to have his own pups, listening to Annabeth had ruined his health.

He remembered sitting down to have that conversation. How Annabeth didn't care. Acted as if he'd just told her it was about to rain whilst she was planning on staying indoors anyway.

It didn't affect her, so it didn't matter.

That's what she had said.

It didn't affect her, so it didn't matter.

It mattered to Percy.

Percy wanted pups.

Wanted the cute little pups that would cling onto him when they were scared, would go to him for comfort, would call him mommy.

With Annabeth, he couldn't have that.

But she didn't care.

Percy sniffled, wiping away his tears as he stood up, kicking off his shoes and faceplanting into his bed.

He wanted pups.

And he couldn't have them.

Percy fell asleep, dreaming of a world where he had his own pups, where he hadn't listened to Annabeth.

Where he was happy.

When Percy got up the next day, he had a shower, got changed, went to take his-

Oh. Will said he was supposed to stop.

Blinking back tears, Percy closed the box and hid it back in the box under his bed.

During breakfast, Percy was quiet, his mind unable to think of anything but the pups he couldn't have.

Sighing, Will picked up his breakfast and headed over to the Poseidon table, gesturing for Leo to follow too.

Ignoring all of the looks they were getting, they both sat down, Percy slowly looking up and sniffling.

Leo smiled gently, reaching out a hand to rub Percy's back.

Percy whimpered, wrapping his arms around Leo and burying his head in his neck, the tears falling freely once more.

Will stood up, walking around the table and sitting on Percy's other side, wrapping his arms around the other two.

They stayed huddled close for about five minutes, none of them caring about the funny looks they received.

When they broke apart, Percy's tears had stopped falling and he'd calmed down slightly.

"T-thank you."

"Don't thank us. Please. You deserve the support."

Percy smiled sadly, feeling grateful to have such good friends.

Once breakfast was over, the three made their way to the infirmary hand in hand, offering Percy all of the comfort they could.

Sitting down inside the infirmary, Percy bit his lip, feeling anxious about this whole thing.

"Okay, so we're gonna take this slow, yeah? I'm just gonna ask you a few more questions today and we'll leave it at that."

Percy nodded, gripping tightly onto Leo's hand, depending on the comforting scents of his friends to calm him.

"What happened when you first started taking the suppressant pills?"

"I threw up. I threw up everytime I took them for at least two months. After that, Annabeth said my body needed more of them to adjust and said I needed to start taking two a day so I did. I started getting stomach pains as well then. After about another six months of that, my body just got used to them."

Will nodded, making a note of what Percy had just said.

"What happened when you presented?"

"My body had started to depend on them. I remember being so excited the day I presented that I decided not to take my pill. I threw up and my stomach pains came back."

Will hummed, jotting down the information.

"What happened when you got kidnapped by Hera? When you weren't able to take the suppressants for months."

"My body was in agony. Honestly felt like it was fighting itself and at the time, I didn't know why."

"Alright. Did you ever sit down with Annabeth and talk about your health?"

Percy nodded, breathing in shakily and squeezing Leo's hand.

"Y-yeah. The day after we came back from there. She said it didn't matter b-because it didn't affect her. Had a conversation with Piper in the dining hall about p-pups the next day. Talking about how excited she was to have her own pups and stuff. She left as soon as Piper asked about me having my own. She t-told Piper that I didn't w-want my own, despite A-annabeth's pleas."

Will nodded, quickly writing it down before putting the sheet in Percy's file and going over to hug Percy.

Silently, Leo joined the hug, still gripping tightly to Percy's hand.

Percy went to speak, to thank them, but was interrupted as he felt his stomach churn, turning and throwing up into the bin beside the desk.

Okay, so I'm planning on doing multiple parts to this and the main ship is undetermined. Let me know what ship you want. If you want to, let me know what background ships you'd want too.
