Clarisse x Percy x Chris

This one is for lazylife12. Sorry I couldn't fulfill your original request but I hope this is okay.

Percy pouted up at his boyfriend, completely unaware that he was doing so in the first place.

They were cuddling in the Poseidon cabin, simply because Chris couldn't refuse Percy, plus it was after curfew and Chris just couldn't help but want to break the rules.

And who was Percy to deny his boyfriend the right to break the rules when it meant he got late night cuddles?

Chris smiled down at Percy before kissing his forehead, pulling him closer to his body.

Percy made a sound that sounded suspiciously like a purr as he moved to rest his head on Chris' chest.

They lay in silence for a few minutes before Percy actually spoke up.

"Chris." He whispered.

Chris couldn't help the smile that he tried to hide in his boyfriend's hair. They were completely alone, and yet Percy insisted on whispering.

"Yeah Perce?"

"When's Clarisse going to come back?"

Chris didn't even need to look at Percy's face to know his eyes were watering, his voice taking on that edge it always did when he tried not to cry.

Chris sighed, feeling frustrated. He placed a gentle kiss on the back of Percy's head to let him know that the frustration wasn't aimed at him.

"I dunno Perce. Soon, hopefully."

Despite having been officially dating for over a year now, Clarisse still found it hard to express positive emotions to either of her boyfriends.

She tended to avoid either of them at certain times because of it.

It was actually most commonly because of jealousy.

If someone glanced at Chris one too many times, or flirted with her Percy, she'd feel this fire building within her chest and she didn't know what to do with it.

It didn't help that Percy was too kind to reject someone. Either that or he didn't even realise someone was flirting with him. Both happened far too often for Clarisse's liking.

And Chris. Clarisse was sure he took some sort of sick, twisted satisfaction from the too-long stares he'd receive.

He always smirked at her when he ran past her on his daily run around camp with a couple of his brothers.

Why did he always seem to be shirtless during those runs?!

What Clarisse didn't seem to understand was the effect she had on both of her boyfriends. Percy was affected by her moods the most.

He always missed her. Especially at night when it was just him and Chris, the bed feeling a little empty without Clarisse's strong body next to them.

No matter how much he tried to hide it, even Chris was affected. It did kind of hurt to have his girlfriend purposely ignore him all the time.

He knew she had trouble with her feelings, she always had. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt.

It took both of them a bit longer than usual to fall asleep, a side effect of Clarisse's absense.

Clarisse ignored the sqwark of a harpy somewhere in the distance, continuing to sharpen the blade of some random sword. She did that often, just sharpening the blade of some random weapon she'd find in the shed or on the ground of the arena.

She'd lost track of time about a dagger and spear ago, nothing else mattering except for the weapon in her hand and the thoughts of what she could do with it. All the moves she could do.

She'd picked up a few new tricks she wanted to try on Percy. The boy could do with being knocked down a few pegs, honestly.

Clarisse didn't even notice when the darkness finally faded and the sun came up, too engrossed in slashing at the dummy with her newly-sharpened sword.

Jason couldn't help but glance at Percy, concerned. The boy had needed way too much coaxing to finish eating his plate of blue pancakes earlier.

They were currently lounging on a couple beds in the Poseidon cabin, Will, Nico, and Leo there too.

Percy lay on his back, simply just staring at the ceiling. He contributed very little to the conversations they were having.

"Percy?"

Percy turned so he was laying on his side, facing the wall and away from his friends.

"I want Clarisse back."

Jason's face lit up with realisation, relieved to at least know what the problem with his friend was so he knew how to fix it.

While Will got up to comfort Percy and Leo attempted to cheer him up, Nico easily slipped out of the cabin unnoticed.

He headed off to the arena in silence.

Nico stood with his back against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest.

The arena was unusually empty, the source currently retrieving her spear from a dummy's head. The poor thing did not look good.

Nico almost felt enough sympathy to wince.

Almost.

He cleared his throat loudly, easily dodging the spear now stuck in the wall where his head had been mere seconds ago.

"What do you want di Angelo?"

Clarisse's lips formed a sneer, almost identical to the one on Nico's face.

"For you to stop acting so pathetic and to face your feelings."

"That's rich coming from you."

Clarisse walked over to the small rock marking where she'd stood before.

Just as her arm was raised to throw the spear, Nico spoke up.

"La Rue."

Clarisse rolled her eyes, ignoring the clear warning in his voice.

"Whatever."

Chris sat with his back against the headboard of Percy's bed, waiting for his boyfriend to finish up in the bathroom so they could both head to bed.

He looked up when he heard the door to the cabin slam closed, spotting Clarisse as she made her way over to him.

Chris raised a judging eyebrow at her, opening his arms for her nonetheless.

She complied to his silent request, trying to appear reluctant.

"di Angelo came by the arena earlier."

Clarisse's voice was filled with so much distaste that Chris wanted to laugh.

Instead he just nodded, placing a kiss to the back of her head, pleased when she didn't move away.

The door to the bathroom opened a few minutes later, Percy humming as he made his way over to the bed.

He stopped just before the bed, spotting Clarisse in Chris' arms.

His face lit up immediately, a large grin on his face.

"You're back."

The excitement in his voice was as clear as day.

"I'm obviously not."

Percy's smile dropped slightly and his eyebrows furrowed as he climbed into the bed next to them, allowing Clarisse to wrap her arms around him from behind.

"Gods, sparky much?"

Chris smiled, reaching over to place his hand on Percy's waist, both arms still wrapped around Clarisse.

"You love it though."

Percy smiled, his eyelids fluttering as he tried to fight off sleep.

"Yeah, I do."

Clarisse scowled, her eyebrows furrowed.

The barest trace of a smile was visible on her face as Chris kissed the back of her head before drifting off to sleep.

Yeah, it was only a small smile but it was still a smile.
