Christmas Prompts (7/25)
Ship: Percy x Connor x Travis x Leo
Prompt: Fuck this shit.
Jason groaned again, the half-whimper, half-groan he'd been doing for the past hour.
He ducked as another snowball went flying past, hurling straight into an unsuspecting Hazel.
"Wait! Stop! We hit Hazel, we hit Hazel!"
Jason made a sound closely resembling 'oof', having been knocked to the ground as Percy barged past him.
Just as Jason had finally managed to stand up - with no help from the deep snow on the ground - he was knocked over again as this time Connor Stoll came barrelling past.
Jason gave up and decided to just sit in the snow, feeling freezing cold.
Jason rolled his eyes, watching from afar how Percy fussed over Hazel, Connor seemingly there as emotional support.
Now, Jason loved Hazel but it was only a snowball.
Once they seemed sure that Hazel was okay - and Connor had given her something for her troubles - they were off, heading straight for the burning armoury.
Jason crossed his arms over his chest, making a loud 'humph' noise. To anyone else, it might look like he was pouting. Obviously that wasn't the case.
Jason Grace didn't pout.
When Percy and Connor finally reached the armoury, they found Leo and Travis standing guiltily inside, Leo's arm wrapped around Travis in order to protect him from the flames.
Instinctively, both Percy and Connor held out their hand for the other, immediately clasping them together.
Percy focused on his breathing for about thirty seconds, feeling rather hot.
He worked on protecting both himself and Connor from the flames. He wasn't immune like Leo so the two of them were feeling quite hot, knowing they'd come out of this with at least a couple minor burns. Just nothing too major thanks to Percy's powers.
As Percy was exaggerating his breathing, Connor turned to stare at Leo and Travis.
"What did you do?!"
Travis shuffled slightly, Leo next to him fiddling with his toolbelt with his free hand.
"All I did was kiss him! How was I supposed to know he'd burst into flames?"
Leo stopped fiddling with his toolbelt, turning to face Travis. He looked to be trying to keep his expression neutral.
"Oh, so this is my fault, is it?"
Travis grimaced, immediately trying to backtrack on his words.
As they argued, Connor let out a tiny whimper, allowing Percy to pull him over to their boyfriend.
Percy made sure Connor was tightly gripping at Leo's free hand before moving to stand behind Leo, wrapping his arms around his neck and burying his face in it.
Leo stopped when he felt them both grip onto him, Travis stopping almost immediately after.
"Leo," Percy whispered, "it hurts."
Leo cursed, forgetting that despite Percy's powers he wasn't immune to fire and could still get badly hurt.
"Okay, right, let's stop this for now so we can focus on getting out of here and stopping the fire. Percy, do you think if I leave you in here you could stop the fire?"
Percy nodded, scrunching his nose slightly due to the weird tingly pain he often felt before crying.
Reluctantly, Percy let go of Leo and stepped back, watching his boyfriends head out of the armoury together.
Percy took control over his breathing again, keeping each exhale just as strong as every inhale.
He knew he shouldn't be breathing in the smoke but it was either that or burn alive.
As they were distracted, the fire had only grew.
Ugh, why did Annabeth insist on having a bigger armoury. It was big enough as it is.
Thank gods Chiron had put other camp necessities higher on the list.
As Percy got to work on putting out the fire, Leo stayed outside to check if his boyfriends were okay.
Once their breathing was even, he headed back inside to find Percy.
He found Percy stood in the middle of the armoury, his arms outstretched as he made grabby hands for Leo.
The hug lasted around two minutes, neither really wanting it to end.
Together, they made their way back outside, into the cold.
A large ring of snow around the armoury was gone, having been melted away by the fire.
Seeing as it was starting to get dark and everyone else was either heading to their cabins or already in them, Jason finally decided to get up.
He paused on his way back to his cabin, his disappointed sigh loud enough to catch the attention of the four boys stood outside the armoury.
They turned to stare at him, pushing Percy forward a little so Jason's main focus was on him.
Jason looked mad.
Percy smiled apologetically, looking guilty.
Jason rolled his eyes, sighing.
"Fine. But you guys are going to help fix that."
They nodded immediately, all looking rather guilty - something that didn't happen often.
They made the unanimous decision to head back to Percy's cabin this time, wanting to sort this out somewhere warmer.
Inside, they all took turns changing in the bathroom, part of the new renovations added to each cabin.
This made it easier to sort out the burns Connor and Percy had received from the fire.
They all had clothes stored in cabin three, though for various reasons.
Leo set his clothes on fire way too much, or often just needed a fresh set of clothes. Sometimes it was just easier to head to Percy's cabin for that.
Connor and Travis, although loving their siblings, didn't trust them with how good they were getting.
The clothes left at Percy's were mainly there as backup for when they're siblings stole their clothes.
Percy kept clothes in cabin three because it was his cabin, obviously.
Leo and Travis took a seat on a different bed each, dragging the boyfriend they thought would defend them most over to them.
Percy and Connor pouted over at the other, feeling like the metre between their beds was an eternity worth of travel.
Instead of reaching out for Connor like he so wanted to, Percy grabbed ahold of Travis' arm, cuddling it to his chest as he rested his head on his shoulder.
"So, as I said, all I did was kiss him. It wasn't me who started the fire this time."
Just as Leo went to speak, Percy piped up quietly.
"If Travis started the fire, he'd admit it. He'd probably go the extra mile and skip around gloating too."
Percy hid his face in Travis' shoulder, trying to hide the small smile on his face after Travis kissed his forehead, whispering a small "shush you".
Connor didn't know what to do. Or why he was sat on the bed with Leo. Or why he was sat on a bed at all.
"Why would Leo set the armoury on fire though? Especially if all you did was kiss him."
After seeing Leo sigh and shake his head, Connor felt utterly useless.
He decided to just lay down and rest his head in Leo's lap instead of trying to contribute.
"'Cause he's emotional. Don't pull a face Leo, you know I understand. His powers are linked to his emotions and with his emotions out of whack, so are his powers."
Travis beamed.
"Love having you on my side."
Leo frowned, muttering.
"Don't we all."
Percy watched Connor turn and hide his face.
"If you're not going to love my Connor then give him back."
Leo looked down to where Connor was hiding his face in his hip bone.
He reached a hand up to stroke through Connor's hair, knowing it relaxed his boyfriend majorly.
Travis rested his hand on Percy's thigh, the one currently being hugged to his chest.
"And his emotions are messed up, because?"
"He misses his mom."
Travis lips formed an 'o' shape, looking over at Leo empathetically.
Connor muttered a quiet "oh" before wrapping his arms around Leo's hips and hugging him tightly.
They talked a bit more before finally settling in for bed, deciding to all sleep in Percy's cabin because 'they're rebels'.
Jason completed gave up when he got into bed, only to find it covered in a blanket of snow, littered with Christmas decorations.
It would have been nice to know they were there before he sat down on the poor Rudolph ornament.
That was fun for both nothing and no one involved.
