We go Visit some of Chaos' Family

Pistos POV

I awoke again later the day. Glancing at the clock I could see it was 9 o'clock, 3 hours before we left. Getting out of bed I left the the cabin only to be blinded by the blazing sun. Seconds later someone ran into me causing me to fall to the ground. I got up muttering curses until I saw it was Annabeth.

"Oh, sorry Pistos I'm just in a bit of a rush and stuff which reminds me I need to give you something."

Pausing to coordinate myself I asked, "What?"

Rifling through the folder she'd been holding in her hands she grabbed a whole stack of them and handed them over, "These are some of the plans we've already come up with, but it would be nice to know as much as we can about the newer enemies we haven't fought against," she explained

"Uh, yeah sure I'll get Alpha to debrief the others about that, but uh shouldn't you be getting ready for the quest?"

"Oh, I already packed.  I'll see you soon. Bye!" she said running away

Taking out my phone I sent Luke a quick text to get a package on the enemies to give to Camp Half-Blood and to check up on Camp Jupiter. Looking around I saw Thomas and Chiron at Thalia's Tree and ran up to go join them.

"Hello Commander" greeted Thomas

I nodded in response before turning to Chiron and said "Due to my quest Alpha, my second-in-command, will take over my spot for the time being. If their is any emergency that I need to be here for you can contact me through him and I'll be here as quick as I can."

Chiron nodded before turning back to Thomas "Good-bye my boy I'll be seeing you again around Christmas?"

"Maybe sooner. I'll want to visit Alex as much as I can while helping run the company."

Chiron nodded before he left trotting down the hill. Thomas and I stood in silence for a few seconds before he spoke, "I ask only one thing from you Commander. Please just keep my daughter safe."

I nodded and with that confirmation he exited through the invisible barrier returning to the mortal world.

The time to leave drew nearer and after I finished packing I went the pavilion. Annabeth was already there by the time I arrived.

"So" she said

"So?" I asked

"What exactly are we doing?" she inquired

"I'm going to meet Void," I said simply

"Oh and uh how are you going to do that," she asked

"Since Void no longer has a permanent physical being the only way to contact him is through dreams or deep meditation which is what I'll be doing at my meditation chamber on Planet Chaos. You'll really be doing nothing until after I speak to Void." I explain.

"How will we be getting there?"

"Teleporting, Chaos should be here any second," I answer. As if he heard as Chaos appeared a few seconds later.

"Hey Pistos" he said

"Nerida should be here any second" I said

"And there she is now" Annabeth said

"Alright, lets go. Chaos will take you two. See you there!" Pistos said before merging into the shadows.

"Now Annabeth and Nerida would you just grab on," said Chaos sticking out his arm. We did and the world around us became a blinding light. It restored itself and I held my stomach for a few seconds nauseous from the trip. I heard laughter coming from the left and saw Pistos cracking up.

"Stop laughing" I whined. He didn't. So this time I tried a more direct approach "If you laugh one more time I will severe you head from your body and feed it to the harpies," he shut up pretty quickly after that.

"Don't worry Pistos was even worse the first time he teleported," assured Chaos

"Anyways," said Pistos "Welcome to my home. Since I could be spending hours in the meditation chamber why don't I get you guys comfortable. There's a rec room, gym, pool, training room, the list goes on," Nerida perked up at the word pool and Pistos took notice. "Chaos how about you take Nerida to the pool while I'll Annabeth to the library."

"Library?" I asked

"Filled with more books then you can even think of," he replied

'What are you waiting for lets go," I said breaking off into a run.

He laughed and started to run soon overtaking me. After a couple of turns he slowed and came to a stop. I stopped beside him. Overhead of us was a giant sign that read Library and underneath were 2 giant oak doors. Pistos pushed them open to reveal a huge library. People were bustling around books and tablets in hand.

"Most people on the planet use their tablet to download most books they want from the library. There is of course still books that cannot or will not be duplicated and cannot leave the library. I'll give you my tablet and if you just press here it will recognize you as a user of this tablet." He explained showing me a screen that said New User with a hand outline underneath. I pressed my hand to it and and the screen turned green.

"Excellent now before I go any other questions?" he asked.

"Yeah, where did this tablet come from?"

"My phone can change sizes," he explained. "If that is all, I'll be gone now. See you in a bit," he said as he left.

I mumbled something incoherent already captivated by a book I found a few seconds earlier.

Pistos POV

Classic Annabeth I thought as I walked away. Always eager to learn, to find something new. I always loved that about Annabeth.  Continuing on the path I had been running earlier today I reached my meditation chamber.

I entered the pitch black room and quickly light my hand with fire to see where I was going. I guided myself to the center of the room were I took a sit. I put out the fire and sat there trying to compel Void to come talk to me.

<> Will be used when they are speaking with their minds

<Void> I said to nothing. After a few minutes of nothing I said it again louder and more demanding. After a few more tries I could here a deep groan as Void finally hear me.

<Percy> he asked

<Yep it's me>

<Finally I've been waiting for ages for you to come talk to me. What do you need to know my boy?> he asked

<A prophecy from a really long time ago about me and Order we need the full thing.>

<I don't have it> he said. All at once my hope of getting the prophecy plummeted. <BUT> he continued <I did hid one of the few copies somewhere. I don't exactly know where but I left a riddle behind in case I ever needed to find it. It's in one of the restricted books in the library that can only be removed by Chaos, opened by a child of Athena, and read by the Commander. It's called The Fate of the Universe Lies in this Book's Hands even though it does not have Hands Because it's a Book>

<A fitting name. Wait why can only a child of Athena open it they didn't even exist back then.> I asked.

<While anybody but a god can open it. You need to solve a riddle which requires smarts I figured I would just specify to you that the daughter of Athena be the one to solve it because you had one on hand. Speaking of Annabeth when are you going to tell her who you actually are?>

<I'll tell her later. I don't want to do anything to shocking before the battle> I answered dismissively.

<I'll tell you right now Percy that what she's going to tell you will shock you even more,> he promises

<And what would that be?> I asked curious.

<My lips are sealed. Now if that is all-> he replied before I cut him off.

<Wait one more question. Did Chaos know about the whole Annabeth... situation?>

<Oh you know I think I told him a like 5 days ago or was it 5 years ago? You know it might have been 500 years ago. Time is so hard to tell when your an ageless being> he answered.

<Why did you never tell me anyways on one of my few visits?>

<You never asked. Now Percy I believe that is all you need to know. Good luck you better win>

I stumble out of the room and head directly towards the library. Annabeth sees me and stands up to go talk to me.

"Did you get what you were looking for?" she asked.

"Yes, we need to find Chaos. Now."

As always PJO and HOO belong to Rick Riordan and only him.
