The Ol' Sea God
*3rd Person POV*
He seemed impervious to the glares sent to him by the other campers. His style of walking seemed carefree as he walked through the grounds, but those who knew him saw the casual way his hand was in his left pocket, and how his eyes scanned over everything. He expected one of them to attack. He didn't know it would be that soon.
*Percy POV*
The moment he reached the big house, his hoodie was pulled hard, and tore, and the force of the pull threw him to the ground. As he got up, he saw an unfamiliar yet familiar face glaring at him. 'Get away from here, traitor' the face said. Percy winced at the word, but otherwise that seemed to bounce of him too. 'Who are you' he asked. 'Alex Fitz, son of Ares' the face replied. As Percy got to his feet, he noticed the other campers staring at the fight. 'You don't want to do this' Percy said calmly, though his eyes had a steely look. 'Oh believe me, I do' Alex said, taking a step forward. The fight was over before it even started. Percy rushed at him at gave an uppercut to his jaw, sending Alex flying to the ground, unconscious. 'Didn't you even get any warning' he asked to the body, as some campers, probably Apollos, rushed forward. 'Actually, we did' said a familiar voice. He couldn't recognize it, but apparently his heart did, as it felt like his heart was attempting to breakdance in his body. He turned around slowly.
Her blonde hair fluttered slowly in the wind. Her stormy grey eyes shone with disbelief and anger, but also a bit of suppressed happiness. She wore black jeans, and an orange camp shirt. Her face, beautiful as always, was one that he had come to love.
Annabeth' he sighed. He was surprised when she ran, not to him, but away. 'Hey, Annabeth' he yelled, but she had disappeared in the crowd. Great. The one person I was eager to meet, and she hates me. He turned around and pushed through the campers to the cabin that was once his home. When he opened the door, he was not very surprised when he saw each of his items missing. Still, it brought some anger. He went to his old bed and lay down. He had felt pretty tired before but he just couldn't shake of the feeling that the gods would kidnap him again. Memories of that time came back, and they brought some tears too. He turned around and silently cried into his pillow. 'Why me? Why me? My life was perfect' he said to no one in particular.
Annabeth POV
She didn't know why she did it, but she ran away rather than to him. The sight of him standing over Alex was something she didn't recognize in Percy. He would never have hurt a camper. Her doubt against the gods creeped into her mind again. What if Tartarus is the reason. What if he did it on instinct. She partially agreed with it. Athena had filled her in that to Percy, he was in Tartarus for 120 years. Maybe that was it. Maybe he just acted on instinct. After all, when she was in Tartarus, she had to be on guard all the time. Still, she couldn't shake of the feeling that he was not the same Percy.
*unknown POV*
'He is strong that one, but with a bit of emotion, he could be easily weakened' a voice said, as its source stared at the monster version of iris messages. It showed Percy Jackson, crying on his bed. 'We need to capture him, and weaken him more. This boy is a danger to our plan and needs to be dealt with' the voice ordered.
*Percy POV*
As he awoke, he felt a bit weird. Why was he floating, and why was everything blue. Realization settled him, and he cursed the gods as he looked around his underwater jail. 'Oh there's no use cursing them, they had nothing to do with this. I did' a voice said from the corner. He hadn't noticed before, but there was a man, standing there. 'Who?' Percy asked stupidly. 'How many sea gods do you know?' the man asked. 'Umm.. Three' Percy replied. 'You're not Poseidon, and you're not Santa from Frisco, and youre not Phorcys, so I don't know who you are' he added. The man chuckled. 'I am your father's greatest enemy. I am known as Pontus' Percy's eyes widened. 'Go warn those upstarts you worship. Tell them, the war has begun' Pontus said, and he waved his hand.
(Get it? He is a sea deity and he 'waved'?)
Percy bolted upright in his own bed, and the first thought was 'its been 120 years since I had a cheeseburger. I need one'. But his second thought was to warn the gods. He scrambled out of bed and prepared to flame travel.
