Chapter 2

The Minotaur ran at me, head lowered, but not before he got a silver arrow stuck in his leg. He let out a bellow, and pulled out said arrow. "Loipón...aftó synévi." I grumbled. I heard Artemis chuckle. "Indeed. My hunters have been hunting the Minotaur for a little while now." I pulled out my ballpoint pen and clicked it. My sword Cheímaros, or Torrent was pure Celestial Bronze.

"What is that?" Miko asked looking at me with wide eyes, holding up her phone for a picture. "Remember how I said I was the daughter of a Greek god?" My friend nodded. "Well....the old Greek monster cow decided to make a show." Miko thought for a moment. "Minotaur?" I nodded. "Placed in the Labyrinth by King Minos of Crete, eventually slated by Theseus. Came back to life a couple years ago. Percy killed him, later he was brought back for the big show, only to be killed again. This is the third time for Max." Artemis glared at the beast. "My lady! We have a Manticore nearby!" I could hear...Thalia shout. The daughter of Zeus looked even more punkish than ever. She had a Green Day shirt on under a silver parka, her black hair uneven and short.

Her electric blue eyes were narrowed. My demigod friend seemed to hate monsters even more after the ginger haired hunter, Phoebe, Thalia's second in command, died at the hands of Orion the Hunter (....no comment). "Dr. Thorn? Please no. The last time I saw him one of my best friends was thrown off a cliff." I growled. Thalia shrugged. I sighed. "Get all the mortals out of here. I have a bull to...Er....un-bull."

Artemis relayed the message as I checked my surroundings. Yes! Water hydrant! I focused on the red...thing as the pull in my gut increased. The hydrant suddenly exploded. I gave an evil smirk at the Minotaur. "Hey beefy! Come and get me!" I yelled. The monster charged at me, and I sidestepped. Remembering what Chiron said when I was younger, I stayed quiet and made sure the wind  blew to me, not away. Nope..,he smelled me. He roared and charged. I kept up and made the water hold me higher, then jumped onto the back of the monster.

I held on for dear life as the Minotaur thrashed about. I probably would have bit my tongue off if I hadn't been careful. When the bullman stopped jumping and hopping to get me off, I raised my sword and brought it down. The Minotaur turned to dust.

One down...one to go.
