Chapter 2: Life as a Half Blood

Damien grunted as he fell to the ground with a yelp. He glared at Clarisse who pointed her sword at him, a grin on her face.

"Show off," Damien huffed, blowing his bangs out of his face. The Daughter of Ares only smirked as the Son of Eris got to his feet and stomped over to the audience seats.

"Anyone else wanna challenge me? Or are they too scared to do so?" Clarisse taunted.

Paige frowned as she leaned against Annabeth. "Cocky," she muttered and Annabeth chuckled softly at the comment.

Percy leaned against Brandon and he wrapped his arm around his waist. Hazel chuckled softly as she sat beside the two.

Elisa stood up. "Well, well. Looks like the little one wants to stand against me huh?" Clarisse said with a smirk.

Elisa stayed quiet as she picked up a sword and looked at Clarisse fearlessly.

The two circled around each other. Clarisse smirked as she twisted her sword around. Elisa stared at her, frowning.

She charged at Clarisse and swung her sword at her. Clarisse dodged and elbowed the Daughter of Zeus hard in the side.

Elisa hissed and she shoved Clarisse away. Clarisse stumbled back for a moment only to yelp when Elisa kicked her feet out from under her, sending her falling to the ground.

"Nice!" Damien laughed. Elisa got to her feet, looking down at Clarisse who growled and got to her feet. She swiped her spear at Elisa who dodged it, dropping her sword.

Clarisse swung her spear again and Elisa caught it in both hands. She glared at Clarisse who growled again and whirled around, taking Elisa with her. The force of the swing sent her to the ground on her back.

She kept a tight hold on Clarisse's spear. "Let go!" Clarisse snapped.

"Make me, you egotistical, unethical, spear-hugging jerkface!" Elisa snapped back. Clarisse growled before she slammed her foot against Elisa's knee.

Elisa shouted in pain before her eyes glowed brighter. She transformed into her full grown dragon form and Clarisse jumped back in surprise. Elisa loomed over her, tossing the spear aside.

She growled as she loomed over the Daughter of Ares, her teeth bared. To say that she was angry was an understatement.

Percy jumped into the Arena and he quickly got between the two. Elisa snarled as she glowered at Percy.

"Elisa... calm down," Percy said calmly, holding his hand out. Elisa stared down at him and her gaze shifted to his hand. She slowly leaned her head towards it and closed her eyes when his hand brushed against her forehead.

She purred softly and leaned into his touch. Percy smiled softly. "Attagirl."

Elisa transformed back and she blinked a few times. "Sorry," she said apologetically.

"It's alright," Percy said, "what's important is that nobody's hurt." "Unfortunately," Amarys muttered and Trinity elbowed her in the side.

Paige glared at Amarys before she looked back at the other Demigods. "I think that's enough for today," Chiron said. Clarisse grumbled softly as she, Percy, Elisa and many of the other Demigods exited the Arena and went to busy themselves with other things.

"You alright, Lisa?" Thalia asked as she, Kaitlin, and Jason came over to Elisa.

"Yeah," Elisa said, giving a reassuring smile. Jason smiled and ruffled her hair, making her squeak and she swatted his hand away.

Thalia chuckled softly, "let's head to the Dining Pavilion, shall we?" "I'll catch up with you guys," Elisa said, "I gotta wash up real quick."

"Alright," Jason said with a nod. Kaitlin smiled, "we'll keep an eye on Stan alright? Gets into more trouble than he's worth."

"Hey!" Stan exclaimed, pouting and Thalia and Jason laughed. Kaitlin grinned. Elisa stuck her tongue out at Stan as she made her way to cabin 1.

She opened the door and closed it behind her. She picked out some new clothes- her orange Camp shirt and a pair of grey jeans- and walked into the bathroom.

She turned on the bath water and took off her shirt. There were many scars on her back, shoulders, arms and stomach. She had the power to heal but some scars were too deep so they'd often get bandaged up by Apollo.

She stepped into the water and closed her eyes, leaning against the wall. She tried not to flinch at how cold the wall was and she didn't know why she had decided to lean against that but right now, she didn't care. It actually helped. She slowly fell asleep.

A twelve year old Marley walked down the hallway, bored. Her mother, Selene, had dropped her off at Mount Olympus and she had gotten to know most of the Gods and Goddesses who resided here. She looked over at a five year old Elisa who was sitting in the corner, reading a book.

"Hey Elisa!" Marley said as she hurried over to the girl. Elisa looked up at her and smiled, "hi."

"Whatcha doing?" Marley asked. "Just reading," Elisa said with a small shrug.

Marley chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment. "Wanna play a game of hide and seek?" She asked. Elisa smiled happily, "yeah!" She set the book down.

Marley helped her up onto her feet. "I'll count!" Marley said with a grin before she covered her eyes, "One... two... three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten."

Elisa quickly scurried away, giggling to herself. "Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty!" Marley said, moving her hands away from her face, "ready or not! Here I come!"

She looked around before she ran down the hallway. It was quiet in the hallways. And it made the Daughter of Selene uncomfortable. "Elisa?" She called out.

There was silence for a few moments. Then there was a sound. A scream that was quickly muffled. Marley widened her eyes and she hurried towards the sound, "Elisa!"

There was another scream that came from the Weapons' Room. Feeling her stomach twist, she hurried into the room and she saw a door in the back.

There was screaming and sobbing coming from behind it. She swallowed and hurried over to it. The door was open just a crack and she peeked in. Horror rushed through her.

Elisa was chained up and crying as Zeus dug a knife into her shoulder. "Please stop! Please!" Elisa cried.

"I thought I told you not to come in here," Zeus growled as he dug the knife deeper into her shoulder. Grabbing a fistful of her hair, he yanked her head back and dug the knife into her other shoulder.

She screamed and sobbed, "I-I-I'm s-sorry, Daddy! I'm sorry!" "Let her go!" Marley shouted as she hurried over to them. She grabbed at Zeus who glared down at her.

"I thought I told you to stay out too," he hissed and she flinched back. Zeus turned his attention back to Elisa who was shaking and bleeding.

"Looks like someone needs to be taught a lesson," he said with a sickening smile. "No! NO! PLEASE! I'll be good, I promise!" Elisa wailed, struggling frantically despite the searing pain washing through her entire body. It felt like her entire body was on fire because of the pain.

"You always say that, and you aren't," Zeus said and he turned his daughter onto her front. He dug the knife into her back and she let out a sob of pain.

Marley could only stand and watch with horrified eyes. She felt powerless. Guilt washed over her and she clenched her fists tightly, tears forming in her eyes.

"Let this be a lesson to you when you get on my nerves," Zeus hissed in Elisa's ear. He pulled the knife away and when he unchained Elisa, she fell to the floor and he kicked her aside, sending her flying into the nearby wall. He glared at Marley, "get her out of here."

He stormed past her and out of the room. Marley hurried over to Elisa and scooped her up into her arms. Elisa cried softly and trembled in Marley's arms before she passed out. Marley quickly hurried her to Apollo.

Elisa opened her eyes and she looked around for a moment. She realized that she was still in the bathtub. Quickly draining the water, she got up, dried off and got dressed. Hopefully she didn't keep her siblings waiting.

She hurried out of the bathroom and out of the cabin. She made her way over to the Dining Pavilion. She waved at Percy and the other Poseidon kids as she plopped down beside Angelina.

"Yeah but it's weird how Uncle Hades just... creates the Kracken," Serenity said.

"But it's true," Percy said as he took a bite out of his pancakes and he looked over at Shiloh who was reading a book while chewing on some salad.

"Whatcha reading, bro?" Percy asked, lightly kicking his brother in the foot.

"Hm? Oh just this story about Hercules," Shiloh said, "it's a strange story too." "Well you can never tell with an immortal like that," Lizzie said with a huff. Warren nodded in agreement.

Percy hummed absentmindedly as he rubbed his arms. Tyrone looked at his brother then shifted his gaze to his arms. There were scars that Percy had gotten- from battles and from Gabe.

Tyrone couldn't help but frown slightly. A lot had changed. Luke, Sally and Bianca had been brought back because of Paige as she was the firstborn Daughter of Eris; Percy and his siblings had gained the ability to transform into water dragons and lizards, among other things. Days have been hectic in good and bad ways.

But everyone survived it all. They did it all. They lived.

Through battles and wars, they loved and lived. And nothing would take them down.
