We Destroy Mount Olympus.... well almost

I don't even know how we got here. Monsters weren't supposed to follow us into Mount Olympus. All I remember is running, simply because it refused to die. Even Annabeth had trouble killing it. The only option was to run, while still attempting to kill it of course, as fast as we could.

"Percy! How did we end up at the Empire State Building?!" Annabeth yelled.

"Good question...." I admitted.

"Mount Olympus?" Annabeth suggested.

"We can't!" I shook my head.

"I will kill you if you don't get to safety! Zeus might know how to kill me," the monster seemed to say. I froze, glancing at Annabeth who also appeared confused.

"Yeah. One problem: Zeus is out of town," Annabeth reminded me. Great, I thought. That usually meant Olympus was unprotected.

"Whatever. I say, run! And we'll figure it out while we're laying low," I suggested.

"Okay but your father won't be happy to see us," Annabeth replied.

"My father? What-"

"Who do you think is protecting Olympus? Hades?" Annabeth asked, annoyed.

"I was thinking Athena," I shrugged.

"Athena?! No, seaweed brain, it's always one of the big 3!"

"Or Hera"

The monster roared and we began running again. We both attempted to slash the monster with our weapons, but nothing worked. I don't know when exactly we crossed the barrier to Olympus but one thing was certain: the monster was actually in Olympus.

"What is going on here?!" Hera, appearing out of nowhere, roared.

"This monster just won't die! You have any requests?" Annabeth asked.

"You want to tell us how exactly this monster is here? I thought they couldn't follow us in Olympus?" I asked.

"They can't," Hera answered.

"How do we kill it?" Annabeth asked.

"Fire," Hera answered and disappeared.

"Fire?! Where would we get fire?!" I asked.

"I know exactly where. Percy, you distract the monster and I'll go get the fire. You will have to bring the monster back," Annabeth answered then ran off.

Of course I'm the distraction. It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that. Everytime I attacked, the monster dodged them and destroyed some important artifacts of Olympus. I did too when the monster blinded my path.

"Why won't you just die?" I grumbled.

"Percy, any day now!" Annabeth shouted.

"I'm trying!" I shouted back. Finally, it was directly in front of Annabeth.

The monster charged and that was all it took for Annabeth to blast it with fire, killing it instantly.

"Well, it's dead," Annabeth shrugged.

"Yeah, and we almost destroyed Olympus," I muttered.

"You killed it, I see," Hera, once again appearing out of nowhere, spoke. The flames grew bigger, burning whatever was in its path. Without hesitating, I immediately summoned a wave to put out the fire.

"You're doing a lousy job of protecting Olympus," Annabeth mumbled.

"Blame Poseidon," Hera huffed.

"What the hell happened here?!" Zeus, appearing out of nowhere, shouted.

"A monster got in Olympus," Hera screamed.

"That's impossible, they can't," Zeus frowned.

"Talk to your brother," Hera suggested.

"Talk to me about what?" Poseidon asked.

"A monster got in Olympus! Why did you take the barrier down?!" Zeus roared.

"I didn't," Poseidon snapped.

"Um... we're just going to go. Sorry about the damage!" Annabeth tried. I glared at her.

"Not so fast. Why didn't you kill it earlier?" Zeus huffed.

"It simply refused to die. If it wasn't for Hera, we'd still be fighting," Annabeth explained.

"And who exactly had part in destroying Olympus?" Zeus sighed.

"Guilty," I mumbled.

"Why am I not surprised?" Hera asked.

"Why is it that you two always have the craziest adventures?" Zeus asked.

"Great question," I answered.

"So um.. can we go now?" Annabeth asked.

"Fine," Zeus mumbled.
