Reunion
Third Person POV
Franchezca and wannabes, Lola Strat, Carie Leesh, and Paulina Gildon, waited at the the front doors of Goode High. They waited near the fountain in front of the doors. Then they spotted her. Crystal Mason.
When she neared them, Franchezca stretched out her leg, making Crystal trip into the fountain. There all students that passed by laughed at her. Suddenly something fell down from her hair. Her black with blue highlights wig. Her true hair showed. Black hair with blue highlights. She wore a wig to disguise herself. Her hair highlights change color from time to time. This time they were laughing really hard. She knew she would be the school paper's next attraction.
"You wear a wig for no good reason? What, hair extension? You waste to much." Franchezca said laughing behind her. Suddenly a white flash appeared in front of her. A camera.
She allowed herself to sink more and deeper into the water. Two hands appeared in the midst of laughter. "I don't need you." She said with determination.
"You know, being a daughter of Poseidon means you can stay dry in water," her face lit up as she saw Percy and Jason giving her a hand. She took them both. As she stepped out, she still wasn't dry.
"It is done. I will be the laughing stock for the month of October. I just-" she turned invisible and was gone.
Jason looked surprised. "She can turn invisible?"
"Yup. Come on we have to go home. Get into the cars. She'll be fine." Percy said, "I hope so."
Three pm
Crystal sat at the edge of her bed sobbing her life out. Someone knocked on her door. "Crystal?"
"Just go, Percy. My life is ruined. My secrets out."
Percy sighed. "Getting the blessing of the hearth is something that is special."
"Not everyone thinks it's something majestic."
"Apparently, you have not been keeping your promise to someone."
"I don't make promises."
Percy slid two pieces of paper that had two pictures on it under the door. "Are you sure? Come out when you're ready, princess."
Crystal picked up the papers and saw a picture of Myka and her after a battle with the promise of Crystal to Myka written down. The second picture was a picture with Percy and his friends. Written below was 'WE ARE YOUR FAMILY NOW'.
This made Crystal create tears of joy.
"Did it work?" Percy asked.
Crystal opened the door and gave Percy a big bear hug. "Yes. Very much."
Percy smiled and covered her eyes. "Come, I have to show you something. "
He led her down the stairs. Her highlights started disappearing returning to black. She felt them disappear. "Don't ask, I'll explain when everybody's their."
Percy opened a door then removed his hands from her eyes. The door led to the kitchen. She saw all her new family standing there smiling. The kitchen was decorated with lot's of streamers and a banner hung saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!'. A cake was at the counter. It was blue with sea oceans design. "It's not much but it is your birthday. We wanted you to have fun. I mean I got a pretty nasty birthday gift when I was sixteen. A prophecy. You promised to explain your hair might as well explain your dream before we met the Avengers."
"This is perfect...so...yeah." She sat down on the floor and closed her eyes. Her hair started having blue highlights. "My hair, changes color every time I use a power. For example, blue for anything involving water, white for something that deals with air and snow, yellow for flying, teleportation has purple, invisibility...well, the highlights become transparent, et cetera. I wear fake hair so that I would not be noticed with different highlights. Okay, for the dream, Order told me not to restrain, live, have fun, the only time I stop is if I have the prophecy. Not much of a big one but it involves connecting all living worlds. That is why I have so many friends back...home. All their worlds are needed to unite. Including the mortals. They have to put their trust on us so that the power is balanced. Not trust like, friendly trust, trust like we exist. Order sounded much like Myka. She told me the Avengers are fine, take their tests, we'll need their help soon. We need their trust. Task one done. Task two, before Chiron said we had to go to school Order told me to live a life in school, fitting in is important for mortals to trust us. And she told me I'll find some help there, but all that happened was bullies nothing more except Hestia's blessing. I don't even know what it's for."
All of them processed all that she said. "Okay, thank you for that explaination." Annabeth said. "So I guess we can start!" She opened the door of the kitchen to the lobby. Crystal was surprised to see all her friends from home here gathered in the lobby saying 'Happy Birthday!' To her.
"You really should stop worrying about us." Tal said. Giving her friend a hug.
"How did all of you arrive? I mean there is like a hundred of you guys!"
"Thanks to your friends, we arrived. Shadow travel by Nico and Hazel, portal by Leo, and just riding a plane on our own intentions. We got here just now. So pretty much a party. Don't worry about the food, we brought it with us." She showed her a table full of tasty food from all over the world. Chinese food, Japanese food, name it. "And after the party, make sure you get back to your room, you still have school. Come on let's start."
Music blared through the speakers. Three hours of fun passed by. Percy and Crystal just sat down on a table eating with Annabeth.
"This is bigger than my seventh birthday." Crystal said. She looked down on her plate. "I just wish dad was here-" they were interrupted by a large boom by the seaside. All music stopped. People froze from fear.
Percy stood up and yelled. "Everyone stay calm, I'll go take a look." Percy left the room with everyone waiting for him.
All demigods followed him out. "Tathia, keep an eye that no one gets out, please stay and be safe." Crystal said following them.
"It's dad," Percy said dipping his hand into the water. He felt his dad shouting.
"We tore her limb from limb. Took out her heart. Killed her during the war. She is gone, Poseidon." A voice entered his head. This voice was talking to Poseidon.
"No," Poseidon replied. "I feel her presence. It has gotten strong. She has to live."
"Well, let me tell you," Poseidon screamed in pain. "That was the past. You will never live to see her again."
"No it can't be." The other voices left and Percy backed up, lying down closing his eyes. Above him was Annabeth and his friends.
"Percy, what did you see?" Jason asked.
"He doesn't know Crystal is alive. He thinks she's dead."
"Who?"
"Dad."
"I want to meet my dad again." Crystal said, tears falling from her cheeks, and kneeling beside the still waters, "I can't have him thinking I'm dead."
From the horizon, they saw a big wave coming. It was a tsunami generated by Poseidon. They all stood up in alarm. It was heading towards everywhere.
"Percy, do something!" Piper screamed.
"I'm trying but it's too much power." He raised hands. "Evac-"
Crystal stopped him. "No, everyone stand back." She dipped her hand into the water and just let her emotions flow.
"You can't control it!" Percy warned. "You can't even control your power yet."
"I'm not trying to." She closed her eyes. The tsunami died down immediately. Then a solid hand grabbed her soft and delicate hands. "I'm letting him sense my presence." She pulled out the hand and came out Poseidon himself.
"Dad?" Percy cried.
Poseidon looked at Crystal. "Is it really you?"
"Oh, I missed you, dad." Crystal hugged him tightly. "I just can't believe monsters go after every single human. My friends didn't seem bothered by them. So I'm sorry for calling you a-a liar, even if you are a liar. Glad you came to my birthday. I promise we'll explain later. Let's just finish the day of party. Tomorrow we'll talk." She headed back to the house with her hoodie up hiding her highlights.
