Annabeth Takes The News

Annabeth Chase already knew Percy Jackson was a god. She was there when he drank the fuc- freaking Ambrosia wine. She cried in front of him. Who in Hades cares? She didnt have a chance with him anyway.

It had been a week since Percy drank the Ambrosia. Annabeth hadnt seen him at Camp for the whole week, and she was leaving soon anyway. She probably wouldnt see him very much anymore. He was a god now. Absentmindedly Annabeth wondered what he would be a god of. Dissapointment? Stupidity? She heard thunder rumble. Okay, okay! Sorry. She thought about all the time she wouldnt be spending with Percy. How much he would miss, being immortal and all.

However. This opened up doors for Annabeth. She took out a drachma and summoned the goddess Iris with a water spray. She asked for the person she wanted to speak to, and they talked for a long while. Finally, the Iris message ended.

Annabeth packed her things. She was leaving camp. It was break, after all.

PERCY

Sally Jackson had been sobbing for twent minutes. She had just found out thst her son, her only child, was immortal, a god like his father, and couldnt- or didnt want to- live in the mortal realm with her anymore. She was sitting on the floor of the Empire State Building lobby, finally slowing her tears.

"Mom..." Percy shifted uncomfortably, kneeling next to her. "Im sorry. I didnt know what else to do. The gods, they- they offered me immortality and then when i refused- well Zeus got a little upset and he started yelling at me and I got nervous. And so much had already happened i just wanted to be done almost dying! So i accepted without even thinking about it and then Annabteh ran o- ANNABETH!" Percy shouted and the passersby in the lobby turned to look at him. "Oh gods, Annabeth..." Percy put his head in his hands and sighed, remembering the look on her face.

"Percy," Sally began. Percy looked up at hi mom. She hadnt spoken since he told her the news. "Youre going to leave me. Just like your father did. It hurts so bad," she held her heart "Percy im sorry." She stared at the floor and shook her head.

"Mom im not going to leave you. Ill still come visit yo..." Percy trailed off as he realized what his godship and immortality meant. He couldnt see the mortals anymore, and he couldnt fight his own battles. He would have to live by Zeus' laws of mortal contact. He stared back at the ground like his Mother.

Yet another tear ran down his face.

Percy silently stood, hugged his mother and kissed her on the head. Better to leave quietly than stick around and hurt her more. Percy didnt want to hurt people. He wanted to keep them happy. He wanted everyone in his life happy.

He walked out the doors of the Empire State Building.

A/N: Do you guys like not knowing about Annabeth? I have more planned for her plotline but i kinda wanted to leave her fate a suprise. Should i edit it and add it to this chapter, put it in next chapter, or wait a few chapters to tell you what happens to her???
