Chapter 2: Lord of the rings.

This one shot takes place right after the mess in WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ shows,

Disclamer!!!!: I ship BuckyxWanda, or WinterWitch as there ship is lovingly called.

I know this ship will not be and is not everyones favorite. But it will be a magor part of this fanfic lol.

As will Romanogers, but if you couldnt tell from the previous chapter- i already ship them.

This chapter is about Wanda introducing Bucky to The Lord Of The Rings movies because he read all the books and The Hobbit when it first came out in 1937.

"Wanda!" Bucky Barnes, the former Winter Soldier and Hydra head assassin,was now currently racing through the halls of the Avengers Compound calling for his girlfriend.

"Whats up babe?" She asked peeking out of the kitchen where she was preparing herself a snack.

"They Made Lord of the Rings MOVIES!!!!!" he cried, breathless from his run.

"Yeah?" Wanda asked , laughing a little at his breathless state.

"Didn't you hear me? THEY MADE LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIES!" He cried aghast that she didn't even care .

"I know babe , I've seen them all , haven't you?" Wanda asked this fully knowing he hadn't , but she couldn't resist teasing him.

"Can we watch them? Pleaseeeee?" He begged , his eyes going wide and sparkling in a way that Wanda couldn't resist ,

"Grab some snacks , and I mean ALOT of them .

We have 9 hours of hobbits and elves to watch." Wanda laughed as he cheered and jumped up, nearly hitting the ceiling in his enthusiasm

Nearly 15 minutes later , The winter soldier and the scarlet witch were curled up on the couch beginning to watch the 9 hour saga.

And not even an hour later the snacks and drinks had run dry.

Wanda made a move to get up and grab more snacks but buckys arm which was around her shoulders didn't even feel her move .

She remembered one conversation where Bucky was worried that his metal arm would hurt her and she quickly realized that if she moved to quickly it would scare him and he would feel terrible about himself .

She snuggled in deeper and his breathing relaxed as if she already started making him doubt himself once again.

The movie ended after two more hours and it was already 5pm in the afternoon.

"We should get more snacks and watch the next one!" Bucky cried jumping up , grabbing Wanda's hand and pulling her up after him.

"How about Mac and cheese?" Wanda called from the kitchen, her arms already full of boxes and bowls and spoons.

"Mac and cheese and potato chips and doctor pepper!" Bucky stated , his teeth shining as true joy rang out on his handsome features .

He went into a thoughtful pose and stated quickly "how about I run out and get some more doctor pepper and maybe some desert?"

"Do we have any ice cream?" She asked herself, opening the giant walk in freezer.

Tony had had it installed just a few weeks before and it was already filled with food .

"No ice cream , I swear if Steve and Nat keep eating it all we're never going to have any around!" Wanda called , her voice getting an aggressive edge that Bucky knew she was beginning to lose control of her magic a little.

"Doll? Why don't we just go to the store together?" He called, not wanting to get too close to the cold freezer.

"Sure let's go ." She sighed , closing the freezer door behind her.

"I'm gonna put a note on the TV so no one touches it ." Bucky noted, more to himself than to Wanda but she heard it anyway and chuckled.

"WERE GOING TO THE STORE! TOUCH OUR MOVIE AND YOU SUFFER ." Bucky yelled out one of the many windows , down to the hill where Steve , Nat , Peter , and Morgan were all sledding, screaming , and building snowmen and snow families in the deep 3 feet of snow.

He left the same type of message on a large piece of paper which he taped to the tv screen.

"Bucky? If there is 3 feet of snow outside - how will we get to the store?"

"We'll sneak into Sam's room and steal his wings ." Bucky stated nonchalantly, as if stealing was no big deal to him .

"Babe , you shouldn't steal," she laughed but followed him to the hangar where a smaller version of the Quinjet sat.

"Seems like a little much for a trip to the store ."

He remarked dryly "but it will do! Let's go!"

"Babe you forgot a coat." She called grabbing it off the hook for him , and her own hooded parka as well.

"Don't need one." he said, shivering slightly at the breeze of cold air, that had entered in with Wanda.

"Right soldier, here's your coat." she laughed. Her laugh warmed his heart and it was all he could do not to hug her as tightly as possible and never let her go.

"Let's go get some snacks, ice cream, and maybe a few blankets." Wanda stated her voice taking on a teasing tone.

"Lets go!!" bucky cheered gunning the engines and lifting off into the air.

"Its good we took the jet, i just read that the roads are so bad, no one is going anywhere, there are multiple car pile ups on the highway and main roads and power outages around the state." Wanda went on " and i Just got a text from Natasha saying that Morgan is staying in the compound with all of us tonight."

"Stark wants a date night?" Bucky grumbled half-heartedly from the cockpit where he struggled to fly the quinjet through the heavy snow.

"I'm guessing it's more than just a date night but be prepared to have to sit through Moana."

"Why is she so obsessed with that Movie?!" Bucky whined pulling back on the controls to land the aircraft in several spots of a Walmart Parking Lot.

"Because little girls are obsessed with Disney Princesses, as are handsome super soldiers." wanda giggled.

"I'm not obsessed with it!" Bucky cried, indignant that she even suggested that horrific possibility.

"Oh really? I'm sure Friday has a video of you singing "Shiny" into a wooden spoon in the kitchen the last time we watched it."

"That's extortion." the Winter soldier gasped in fake shock and anger.

"And it's beautiful." Wanda grinned as he playfully messed up her hair.

"Alright, coats on, and we'll set a timer for 15 minutes so we don't get lost and accidentally get locked out of the Quin jet, '' Bucky said, pulling his hood up over his face.

"I wish i had a mask , it's so cold." Wanda grumbled, pulling a gloved hand over her mouth, while her other hand squeezed bucky's.

"I don't miss my mask, it was more like a muzzle." Bucky whispered.

Wanda's hand squeezed his again tighter this time.

"No one will ever put a mask on you ever again" She promised, kissing his cheek.

He smiled down at her, and squeezed her hand once again. The doors opened enveloping them in warmth.

"Snacks and ice cream first!" Wanda cheered.

As always whenever Wanda was happy , that made Bucky happy .

After spending more than 15 minutes in Walmart , the two avengers walked out with 5 family size bags of chips , a case of Doctor Pepper , and a large bucket of chocolate chip cookie ice cream.

Along with a large fluffy blanket with Steve's face on it .

(Wanda found it in the kids section)

"It's gonna be weird snuggling under a blanket with my best friends face on it." Bucky deadpanned.

"But your snuggling with me." Wanda smiled cocking her head to the side and scrunching up her nose in the most adorable way.

Bucky felt like his heart nearly dropped at her cuteness but he swallowed , blushing and mumbling incoherently to himself.

The Quinn jet quickly started and took off as soon as the food was stored safely.

"I wonder how long we'll have to wait until we can eat our ice cream and not have to share with Nat and Steve." Bucky called from the cockpit.

"Well watch Moana with them and Morgan and Peter first then when everyone goes to bed we finish our movie saga ."

Wanda promised , walking up behind him and kissing his head.

After they reached the compound , landed the Quinnjet and hid their snacks , the couple brought in the blanket with Steve's face on it which Bucky was wearing as a cape.

He paraded around the room in quite a silly fashion for a few moments before giving the blanket to Morgan.

She squealed taking it in her arms and kissing the blankets face.

Steve flushed red as Natasha took a picture to send to Tony and Pepper.

"You just had too." Steve chuckled as Morgan

Wrapped up in the blanket and curled up on the floor.

"Hey Morgan watch this! Hold on tight!" Peter cheered , jumping up to the ceiling and wrapping her up in a web cacoon which turned into a hammock when he spun it a certain way:

"Wheeeeeeee" Morgan squealed clapping her hands, but a sudden shake of the hammock sent her gripping the sides.

"Uncle Bucky! Catch me!" She cried happily , rolling out of the hammock before Peter could react.

Bucky's whole body surged forward and he caught her without even a second glance.

Peter crawled down the wall , thoroughly creeping Steve out once again.

"Well , that was fun , but no more death defying experiences tonight okay? What do you want to watch Morgan?"

Wanda asked , scrunching her nose again making Bucky's heart melt once again.

"MOANA!" She shrieked , jumping up and down in Bucky's arms.

"Nooooo I hate Moana!" Bucky whined .

Morgan looked downcast thoroughly melting Bucky's heart even more.

"But you love me right?" She asked, her eyes widening and large crocodile tears spilling out.

"That's extortion!" Steve cried from the living room.

"Of course I love you , I'll watch Moana with you if you want ."

"I love you uncle Bucky , can I stick magnets on your arm again?"

"If you really want." Bucky sighed , his heart stopping at hearing "I love you"

As it always would.

And even though he may have been a deadly assassin before , he was now a great uncle, and boyfriend, with magnets stuck all over his arm.

Authors note:

I wrote this originally thinking I would end it with a "and Bucky and Wanda watched lord of the rings . But this ending is sweeter

And the first person I tortured with my creative skills, love you girl!) said she wanted more Morgan and Bucky interaction, because Bucky is good with kids no matter what Kudra told him.
