Beauty.

I am certain we all have heard this saying,

"Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder", how true is this statement?

Well for starters, I think it is true but it depends on the person you are looking at and what relation you share with them. Because I sometimes have seen people holding back on their opinions and lie about it because they don't want to hurt others.

Now, being honest there are very less people who have the mainstream attitude to say whatever they feel right on someone's face.

While when I am the one being questioned about the following, I definitely do give sincere opinions about what I feel.

Now there's a catch, I do give everyone a rightful opinion but I do it using a lot of words. Being careful not to hurt anyone while giving them opinions. It is very important to tell people what you actually think but then you should also be polite and sensitive about the same, don't you think so?

Anyways moving on to the actual point I have for today.

So, what do you think when you are asked about beauty?

Or rather what's the first thing that comes to your mind when exposed to the word beauty?

Meghan Markle...?

Be honest how many of you skipped a heartbeat just like I did?

Or is it The Professor from money heist, Robert Downey Junior?

Oh, is it Akshay Kumar?

Wait is it Ratan Tata?

Or is it the nature around us?

Just kidding, I just mentioned all my favorites!

Now don't get confused I wasn't talking about their physical appearances.

I was talking about something more beautiful about them then their physical boundaries.

But the question here is how many of us compare beauty to physical appearances?

For me there is a specific reason as to why they're my favorites.

Meghan Markle, let's just get to the point she legit broke all the taboo's (is that what we call it right?) she was a divorcee, a person who doesn't holds back while giving true opinions about shitty politicians. And the greatest thing about her is that what a marvelous feminist she is. She is such a supporter of equality for all the genders. Then, when she felt that maybe the royal life is not meant for her, she opted out from it to live her life on her on terms while still trying to balance out all her relations. Tell me how can you resist someone which such a strong and beautiful personality.

The professor, don't throw tomatoes I know he is a fictional character but so what, inspiration can be found in every nook of the world. Isn't he the perfect example of beauty with brains definitely yes! Isn't he the perfect example for being kind, calm and humble? Isn't this what beauty looks like?

Robert Downey Jr., is there even anything not beautiful about him. A junkie, non-responsible and unfit person. From there to being the top most actors in the entire world. From being destroyed to creating a perfect family for himself. From the path of self-destruction to self-discovery! Isn't this called as beauty?

Akshay Kumar. Always the first one to help the nation when in need. Also, the first one in creating awareness about topics such as menstrual cycle, sanitary for everyone, cleanliness and so many other things. From being a chef to being one of the top most actors of India. Might I correct the fittest and topmost actor of India. Don't you find beauty in his journey?

Also, Ratan Tata, the actual philanthropist and a true humanitarian, amidst the pandemic situation we are facing throughout the world. He donated a sum of one thousand five hundred crores. And even gave a statement that, "I would donate my entire wealth if my country needs it!". He has opened all the hotels he owns for the warriors fighting against this pandemic. Tell me there is no beauty in this will you?

Also, there are so many other amazing people out there which I might have forgot to mention so a kudos to them too. Tell me they don't possess any beauty?

What I was trying to tell you amidst all these examples is that, why misjudge beauty for physical appearances?

Doesn't inner beauty, the nature, sensitivity and kindness account for anything?

Don't you think these traits are more important than the external beauty we all talk about?

So, answer this would you be able to live or tolerate someone who according to modern norms of beauty, has a good physique but is non-sensitive, a jerk and an emotionally dumb person?

Or would you rather prefer someone who is generous, kind, sensitive towards you but again according to the norms is not that great at physical appearances?

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

True.

But if I may improvise,

Beauty comes in all forms, emotions, shapes, and sizes. Beauty comes in everything.

Why are we taught everything from a single perspective? Why is there something called as ugly? Why are we not taught about the inner beauty or different perspectives of beauty?

Don't you think everything around us entails beauty?

Now, for someone with everything perfect about their physical appearances is good. But then don't the ones with a tat bit imperfections account for anything?

This topic or this update is not for attacking anyone. And if someone feels personally attacked my sincere apologies to them.

But this topic was for the bullying people with non-attractive (again as this society defines it) physical appearances face. Or anyone who was not considered beautiful according to the norms of this society and was not looked beyond their physical limitations.

Let me tell this to each one of you out there who is facing something similar or might have faced something like this in the past,

I too am imperfect. I too have flaws just like you.

I too try to beat myself for fitting in the norms of the modern society.

But let me tell you that we are beautiful too.

Me.

You.

And everyone and everything around us has beauty to it.

And just accepting this fact and forgiving the ones who did bad too you, me and anyone else out there is such an act of strength.

And through this we rise above them.

We are imperfectly perfect.

And a heartfelt thank you to all those who stood up for the ones being bullied.

We need people like you.

So, now can you promise me something?

Next, time when you think about beauty will you look at the internal perspective of this word?
