Annabeth stared at her reflection  . It was new years eve and there was a party . Everyone's gonna a be there and so is he............. annabeth didn't know wheather to be happy , scared , nervous or all of them. The school was hosting a big party for all senioRs.

 (I am kinda sure such parties doesn't really happen , it's kinda like a prom on new years eve.......whatever just go with it) 

She knew the way she felt , she remembers how she always felt and she knows how she will always feel .... but then why the hesitation?

Cause you see he is her best friend, the thought of she expressing her feelings and he replying that he doesn't feel the same way , haunts her dreams . 

Forgetting all this she decides to get dressed , Piper could be here any minute and if she sees annabeth isn't dressed she is gonna flip.

(I finished writing this oneshot and was reading it when I spotted this sudden switch from the third person to the first. Sorry for that)

I choose a nice black flowing dress that turns blue as it decends, it's got one strap and it hugs my body well . By choosing I meant picking the only dress I have, but no worries cause I have never worn it anyways 

I have a quick shower and get into the dress .

Just then the bell rings . 

"Annabeth sweetie , pipers here!" I hear my step mother.

I didn't have quite a good relationship with Helen until a few years ago . My mom left me and my dad when I was 6. A year later he decided to marry Helen and not long after they had twins . My father loved them but they always felt like replacements to me . Helen was always kind to me , but I pushed her out . 

And then when I grew up I realised what an idiot I was . I opened up to them,  sure it took some time but now I would not changet a thing. 

"Okay , tell her to come in my room  ....... please"

Piper comes into my room . She is wearing a light-but-not-very-light pink dress 

(And I am not very good with descriptions so yeah......)

"Hey so we need to do your make up and you hair and-........wow Annie.  You look so beautiful even without anything .... you know what we are just gonna give you some lipstick , some eyeshadow and a .....hmmmm.....I think a messy bun will do.  By the way do you know that jason asked me out like right now even thought it was a message but I am so excited and I mean I haven't dated in like months now . Remember this one guy I dated who used to keep on eating and would never listen to me on our dates . Once he ate so many chicken nuggets and then attacked my food too . Wow , you know what I have a very sudden but big urge to have chicken nuggets right now or even better chicken popcorn .... hey that reminds me"

"Dude!! Can we do the .......weird..mixed bundle ......of ...........weirdness talk later on?"

"Ohh yeah let's get you readyyyy!!!!!"

Getting me ready was a quick job and not 15 minutes before piper entered this house that we were done .

"Wow Annie. ... you look so amazing. ...I bet percy is completely gonna melt " I glare at her

"Don't ever call me Annie,  and I am not trying to impress him " Wow this was the biggest lie ever in just half a sentence 

"Suuuuuuurrrreeeee!!! And I am a going to the magical ball of cinderella" 

"Hey that's my dialogue , you can't use it on me "

"Hey that's my dialogue,  you can't use it on me" Piper repeats in a Very Bad imitation of me 

"I have tasted my own medicine and it is bitter " I say wiping a fake tear .

We both just stay in that position before we look at each other and burst out laughing . In the time Helen gives us a call

"Girls , you should be leaving if you want to reach in time"

"Yes , just a sec"

We both head downstairs 

"Ohh annabeth , you look so beautiful .....ohh wait just a minute " Helen then runs off and comes back with a long box . 

"This was given to me by my mother .... and I wanted to give it to you"

Inside the box was a silver owl necklace. It wasn't flashy or big ..... it was just ....perfect .

"Helen.....I don't know..what to ...what to say  "

"Well how about thank you" I shut piper up by nudging her with my elbow 

Helen opens the clasp and fastens it on my neck . It looks amazing 

"Thank you so much "

Piper gets in to the car . But I have something to do , I rush back into my house and hug Helen tight 

"I love you ......... mom " I could feel Helen suck in a breath and then release it  , she held me back 

"I love you too sweetheart,now go enjoy your party and if your staying over at someone's place then give me a call ok"

"Yeah"

With that we left . We were gonna meet with percy and jason and all the rest of our buddies in school .

Once we reach Goode High,  I gotta admit they have done an amazing job , just from the outside you could make out that this night is gonna be amazing. 

We enter the schools and squeeze in between loads of people till we find our group . Once we spot them we hurriedly try to reach there . Everyone is there but I can only stare at him , his hair still messy, his suittightly on his body , his sea green eyes shinning and his adorable smile full of joy

He stand up and walks to wards me and I completely forget  how to breathe . He slowly takes my hand a kisses it not taking his eyes from mine

" malady would you be interested in a dance "

"Why yes kind sir"

We dance to bunch of kids songs some slow and some with the most shittiest lyrics but I didnt care , percy was so close to me that I could just faint right in his arms .

Soon enough it was just 2 minutes until midnight . We were all standing in the open ground , some sitting on the bleacherst while others sat down on the fake grass below .  

Only one minute to go and percy comes from behind and intertwines our hand . My breathing immediately picks up . I didn't want to hide my feeling this year.  I didn't want our relationship to begin with a lie that he is just a best friend for me and nothing else . This coming year is gonna be the one where I face my biggest fears.......losing him . But if it works out .... I'll have everything I needed .... I would have him

"NO I JUST WANT TO DO THIS " without thinking I grab his face and firmly place my lips to his .

 Not soon later I pull back and thats when it hits me what I just did .I gasp . Covering my mouth with both hands. 

"SHIT! ! I AM SO SORRY ..... GODS I ...I ...I

I couldn't say anything , if I did there were tears about to spill . I did the only thing I could think off . I got up and ran . I ran in the empty hallways . I could hear the cheerings and the fireworks but all I could notice was my tears and the fact that I may have just lost an amazing person in my life

I heard footesteps behind me 

"Annabeth?"

"Percy please just go away , I am sorry I did that . I don't what I was thinking I just did it . I don't know why . I am so sorry and--"

"Annabeth"  percy said more firmly 

I knew if I say anything I will just loose it, so look into his eyes and simply stare . There is a good two hands space difference between  us 

"Did you means that kiss"

"Of course I did , I meant  every single bit of it , it what I always wanted to -mmphh"

He cuts me off by hurrying to me , he places his hands around my waist and pulls me close placing his gentle lips on mine . After a few minutes of kissing . He pulls back . I stand there just processing everything 

"I wanted to do that ever since aidan asked you out and way before that too"

"Then why didn't you?,we're you a coward like me?"

" Annabeth you are the single most amazingly beautiful girl in this world,  most of the school wants to date you. So how could I, just a lame guy with some dolphin genes in me possibly be the guy for you , being best friends with you was enough of a big deal to my brain for it to go haywire .... dating you would make me combust. "

I simply stare at him for a second before connecting our lips . He slowly pushes me till I am pinned to the wall . My hands are going up and down his back . He pulls my leg indicating me to jump and I do . He catches me on his waist and presses his body even more towards mine . The kiss is becoming really hot and we both are panting but not ready to stop . I pour all of my feeling into this kiss . He pulls back and dives in to my neck .. sucking and sometimes biting the sweet spot behind my ears , while I release barely audible moans . He comes back to my lips and we keep on making out till we both are breathing really heavily . We pull apart , both of us laughing like crazy . He slowly puts me down . I wrap my hands around his neck while his go around my hips . 

"So .... that was something "

"It's definitely was"

"Okay annabeth. Will you be my girlfriend ?"

"Of course you idiot"

I connect our lips one more time though this time in a slow ans sweet kiss . 

And it was definitely the best new years ever

"And do you , take Perseus Jackson,  to be your beloved husband , in sickness and in health untill death do you part?"

"I do"
