Annabeth's P.O.V.

Aaaarghh!!! It's August 16 today and I am so exited slash nervous slash happy!
Tomorrow is the first day of college and I want to make a killer impression .....
I've talked to Percy about this multiple.times but he just says
" just freakin' chill, it's gonna be fine !! Just put on your ' Chase charm' ! "
apart from that , I'm also exited for our anniversary .
Something tells me Percy has something planned for me , and I suspect he's either gonna give me an electronic or some jewelry because he didn't tell me anything about that day , absolutely nothing about what he did or where he went and it drove me absolutely nuts for days , but eventually, I let it drop .
Thinking of percy, I better go check on him to see if he's packed his bag for tomorrow . That boy wouldn't even remember it was college tomorrow if it wasn't for me * facepalm*

Percy's P.O.V

I am super duper exited today , not just because of college or our anniversary, but because I have an extra special pre anniversary gift planned for annabeth ,
over the years , annabeth has gotten to know me a great deal but one particular thing that annabeth doesn't know about me is that I play the guitar and love to sing along with it
know one knows about that except my mom , she taught me herself , and at times when she was particularly stressed about smelly gabe , I would sing her to sleep
That sounds babyish , I know but I just love it and today, I wanna share that gift with annabeth

Annabeths P.O.V.

" Hey seaweed brain!! Did u pack your bag for college yet ? "

He was in the study ,doing Poseidon knows what, when he looked at me , his face full of embarrassment and shame that he quickly covered with a smile .

" no, actually, u know what I did remembered , I just- ummmm- decided to do it in the morning ! "

I rolled my eyes

" Yeah right you do know you absolutely suck at lying ? now go on pack and dare you leave leave it till the morning , I don't wanna be late on my first day of college "

Then I realized he was hiding something behind his back, and whatever it was It was big !

" what d'you have behind your back ? "

" nothing babe , its just a project I was working on" he said , doing his best to hide it behind his back

I rolled my eyes

" if it really is , then show me "

" no dear , that really is unnecessary, you wouldn't wanna waste your precious time on this junk " he said in a sweet voice

"No , no dear it would be my pleasure to spend my lovely time on this artifact " I said , following along with his act

i glared at him and he glared back , we had a glaring contest that I won , I smirked as he said

" uuurgh annabethhhh I give up ! It's impossible to hide something from you , you cute dumb cute , nosy, cute ,idiot! " he said , raising his hands in defeat .

" the artifact if you please " I said holding my hands out

" can I have a kiss first " he pouted

" artifact first pleaseeee " I said

" you're impossible " I said giving up

He pouted again . I chuckled

" come here you cute idiot "

" idiot ? " he asked innocently

" shut up "

My eyes fluttered close as I pressed my lips gently onto Percy's .
I kissed his Apple red lips slowly and sweetly , one of my hands rested on her chest , the other on his neck .
He tasted of blue cookies  and hot chocolate , he smelled of the ocean,sand and summer days. I wanted to be closer to him ,his kiss had now intoxicated me completely.
I felt his hand wrap around my waist and made my body press closer to his.
My hand found his hair as my conscience left me almost entirely; all that was left was Percy and his blue cookies and hot chocolate flavoured apple red lips .
I didn't even notice myself as my other hand played with the bottom of percys' t shirt. Somewhere deep inside me I knew she shouldn't let Percy know how much I  was enjoying this as it would spoil the whole point of the argument but he didn't seem to mind .
His left hand ran once through my hair - almost making me shiver - before cupping the side of my face .
Our kiss became deeper and more passionate , the hand that was once in the hem of Percy's t shirt was now completely underneath ; I was now tracing his abdomen gently , enjoying the dips in his muscles .
Percy was now running his hands down my sides , not pushing any boundaries , but almost .
our breath was leaving both our bodies i didn't mind it was just me and Percy that mattered .... Finally I forced herself to pull away .

" the artifact now please? " I asked innocently, batting my eyelashes

Percy laughed

" here you go " he said as he handed it to her

" it's a guitar "

" and , may I ask what, you were doing with it ? "

" well , I was planning to surprise you with it , as a matter of fact I was just about to surprise you in the living room when you came here " he explained

My heart melted

" that's so cute seaweed brain , but you know I sing terribly and  I certainly don't know how to play a guitar "

" Yeah , I knew "

" then why this ? " I asked curiously , pointing to the guitar .

" wait wisegirl , lemme show you "

He took my hand and let me out of the study and into the living room , he sat down in front of the fireplace and gestured me to do the same . He opened the case in which the guitar was kept took it placed it in his lap , like people do when they play and then

He started singing

Narrator's P.O.V.

He started singing

Annabeth was shocked , she had never heard her boyfriend sing , much less play a guitar

His voice was gorgeous, even better than an angel , it filled the empty living room better than any concert hall . He had an acoustic guitar , annabeth knew that because her brother had one similar to it but he could never nearly sing as well as percy. She wondered who taught him .

Annabeth started grinning as percy entered the third stanza . He truly sang amazingly , his voice full of love and raw emotion .

Shivers ran down Annabeth's spine . She started crying , tears of emotion , stupid , amazing , pure emotions ran down her cheeks but she didn't care

The lyrics of the song were amazing , and along with Percy's voice , it was even better than heaven . The song represented Percy's and Annabeth's emotions and relationship towards each other in every possible way . She thought of the time they went though tartutus , the time they kissed in mt. Helens , she thought of their underwater kiss, she thought of the time they reunited in New Rome after a year , she thought of the time they spent the whole night in the stables of Argo ll And many more....

She was now looking at Percy , as he was singing with his eyes closed . He looked beautiful . Annabeth always used the word ' beautiful ' to describe Percy , she never handsome as she thought it was an overrated word and didn't do percy justice . He was much better than handsome , he was beautiful ....

Tears of raw emotion and love were now slipping down Percy's cheeks too , annabeth saw as she looked into his sea green eyes. his eyes looked like emeralds in the night and they were as gorgeous as ever. Annabeth never looked at Percy's eyes , she looked into them , into the beautiful eyes she had hopelessly fallen in love with .....

As Percy was strumming the notes , he mouthed ' I love you ' to annabeth . She wondered what she had done to deserve such an amazing boyfriend

As Percy sang , he remembered writing that song about 9 months ago at his apartment in new York , he had some homework for school to do but didn't want to do it and, as he is ADHD , he couldn't stay still and do nothing , so he picked up his guitar and and wrote it , it just sort of flowed from his mouth, from his heart , from his pores ; like it was now as he'd played it so many times . He knew It inside out

He remembered writing it about him and annabeth, hoping he could sing it to her one day and he did , today

As Percy entered there second last verse , annabeth thought of nothing , she just felt the music and let it engulf her completely and wholly , letting her enter a world where there was only her, Percy and the guitar and nothing else mattered for a moment

Percy's strums slowed down as his voice flared when he finished the song . The final strum was sweet and slow , fading away with the reminisce of his voice .

Percy out down the guitar

Silence

Silence for 40 seconds straight as percy and annabeth stated at each other

Deadly silence

Earthly silence

Endless silence

A lot happened in the next 60 seconds

At least 40 consisted of a very emotional annabeth jumping into Percy's lap and crying into Percy's shoulder and a very surprised was Percy comforting annabeth

" shhhh , shhh , what happened babe? " he asked

" That - snort - was beautiful " said annabeth

" made me cry " she said wiping her tears

Then , she kissed Percy

Percy couldn't hide his surprise as annabeth kissed him slowly .
Annabeth entangled her fingers in his soft , messy hair , stroking the nape of his neck as Percy kissed her back
Annabeth wondered if she would ever tire of kissing Percy , it seemed to be all new kinds of magical and more .
He had always been unpredictable like that , and now - it appeared - he was the same in a relationship, even in a kiss she didn't know what he might do next .
As he kissed her his hand wrapped around her thigh and pulled her closer to him and as his other hand was placed on her waist .
They both had well lost track of time and their surroundings as they kissed for a prolonged amount of time that they both wondered if it was some sort of record . However neither of them dared pull away , they didn't dream of it . Percy whispered sweet nothings into her lips in the most romantic voice annabeth had ever heard , wondering if she might combust on the spot ( she concluded that the only thing stopping her actually turn on fire was the fear of breaking the kiss , aside from the fact she would die )

But as percy and annabeth both knew , all good things had to come to an end and eventually , they pulled away

" Best boyfriend ever"

Percy laughed

"Wanna hear another one? "

" Yeah " annabeth said as the got off Percy's lap
" this is called shadows , I wrote it when we were 13 and first discovered I loved you "

I've spent the whole day thinking about how you say your words so perfectly
