Percy was walking to his apartment .he'd left all his friends and 'Annabeth' at college and left. He wanted to get himself time to think and figure things out . Half or rather three-fourth of his mind kept wandering off to Annabeth . 

' she looked so pale and weak '
' i shouldn't have left her there , I should have gone with her ' 

He didn't  know how to feel . He was obviously furious at everyone . Everyone but Annabeth that is . He also felt sad , and guilty , so so guilty . It was all his fault . 

His fault that he didn't chase her like he was supposed to . He didn't  love her like he promised . He broke her heart , and it broke his seeing her like that . He let out a scream of annoyance and choked back a sob . All the people on the street turned and looked at him , he glared at them as he tugged on the strings of his hoodie which now covered his head and face almost fully. He decided to take a detour and went to the beach and jumped straight in . It was the best place where he could think . He was in charge there . He could control each and everything there . he liked that somehow , maybe it was because it was the only thing that he could control . His relationship with the person he loved the most was destroyed . He'd literally ripped it into pieces with his own hands and thrown it away . And now that he saw what he'd done and was begging for forgiveness , how could she do that ? He imagined himself in her place . The mere thought made him want to cry .  He wondered what it would have been like for her seeing him so happy and healthy  with someone else , when he promised she was the only one his heart belonged to . His heart ached , like someone was squeezing it , when he remembered how she looked ,she obviously looked stunning as usual , but so lifeless . He even noticed that some of her wounds on her legs and hands from Tartarus had reopened . He went over all the events that had happened over the span of the last few months . it was like he was looking at himself from above, like from the point of view of a third person ,and he saw all the things that he could have done to prevent them from splitting . He saw how wrong he was and how she was right the whole time . Had he just thrown away the best thing that ever happened to him? And so he broke down , crying. He'd cried before , when he realized they were breaking up , but this time felt so real . How could he have been so stupid as not to see it was Inez the whole time ? Why didn't he notice all the small things that made her behaviour so very different from Annabeth  Whose every little move was flawless ,planned and executed with an amount of grace he or literally any other human could never have ? there was a reason she called him seaweed brain . Once he was done crying , he felt numb . The pain and hurt was still still there , but the rest of him felt strangely numb but angry . And let me tell you , a son of posiedon with all those emotions sitting inside of him while he was on the botton of the ocean was bad , very very bad . And he knew that . He stayed there , feeling sorry for himself , acting like a jerk when he was going to fix this . He promised himself that he would fix it and he will . Step number one ? Go and kick out Inez . 

After a few hours and some calls from the devil herself , he decided to go back . He called everyone to his house and told them that there was something he needed to tell them . 

Once everyone was there and comfortable , he started . 

" You all must've wondered , where i was today because everything is back to normal " He stated , putting bunny ears around 'back to normal' .

" I talked to Annabeth today , the real one " he said and sneaked a glance towards the imposter . 

" woah woah woah hold up aquaman , what do you mean the real one ?" Leo asked 

" I'm getting there Leo " 

" Now the person in this room , who we all think is Annabeth , is not really her . It's Inez , pretending to be Annabeth " everyone's cold gaze landed on Inez , who had paled visibly. 

" Knew it ! See pipes told ya " Thalia said 

" yeah yeah " Piper said 

" what do you mean Percy . its me , Annabeth. You should give me a chance to prove its me  " Inez said 

"  okay now this is unecceptable . First you pretend to be her , now you lie about it ? nuh uh " Thalia said , seething with rage  as she pulled out her dagger . You could almost hear the sky thundering outside .

" You guys don't realize what you're saying , Thals , its me " she said 

" Okay ,okay calm down everyone , but Annabeth if it isn't really you babe, i will skin you alive Inez " Piper said 

" Pipes is right , calm down everyone . But I do think  we should give 'Annabeth ' to prove herself " Jason said , a storm brewing in his eyes 

There were murmurs of agreement throughout the room . 

Everyone looked at Hazel ,who hadn't uttered a single word . She sat up , her face showing no emotions . 

" Annabeth , i'm sorry if that really is you , but if this is Inez , you will be  killed , personally by me in the most painful way possible , brought back to life by Nico " who nodded in agreement
" thrown out of New Rome forever , skinned alive by Thalia and killed again . Oh , and i'll make sure you're placed in the fields of punishment " She was now nose to nose with Inez , her eyes cold and grim . 
"Clear?" 

"That wont be needed, because I am Annabeth " she said . 

Everyone looked at Percy 

" Everyone will ask Inez / Annabeth a set of questions whose answers only the real Annabeth knows . " 

" Lets start , Thalia you go first  "

" Recite the first great prophecy " she stated . Inez looked franctic , she should know this . 

" Seven heroes shall-" She started 

" wrong"Thalia said 

" What was his name ? Your first love . You want to name your first kid after him "

" Edward ? " she answered,  a quiver in her voice

" Wrong " she deadpanned

" Frank ?" Percy called out 

" I came to your cabin one night , to ask for help with something , what was it ?" 

" a blueprint ?" 

" no " 

An hour later , everyone was done except Percy 

" what did i tell you , right before we fell in ?" he asked his voice cracking 

" i love you ?" 

" no " he said 

" what were the nicknames we gave each other when we were 13 ?" 

"honey and baby ?" 

" no " 

" So this isn't Annabeth " Leo whispered as Percy stared her down

"no shit sherlock " Piper whispered back

' I can't believe someone could be as cruel as to separate 2 people , who were good and happy with each other just fr their own selfishness . Why ? Can't we have just a few years in peace ? I hate you ! Its all your fucking fault ! Isn't saving the world enough for you ? you monster ! We wanted to get married , have kids! And you just waltz in here , destorying the only one thing thats been constant in my life . I swear to all the gods , i will make your life miserable . I curse you , to never ever find true love , ever  . " he screamed

" So what should we do ?" Frank asked breaking the silence

" call the legionnaires , get her arrested , we're gonna have a court meeting about what to do with her . " Reyna said 

" I'm gonna go to the real Annabeth " 

" right now ?" Jason asked 

" yeah" Percy said

" Then i'm coming with " Thalia said

" sorry Thals but i think this is more of a heart to heart thing ? I'll call you if something goes wrong " 

Thalia grunted and protested but eventually let him go .

i didnt know how to end the chapter but i wanted to publish anything id written . Good news though , i am back on track ! I just read chapter one , and it is a mess . I edited it and whatnot and now its good to go . Bye ! Happy Reading !
