Annabeth ran and ran and ran , as fast as her legs could take her , to the beach.

Yes , she lied to Percy , but she really wanted to be alone .

she cried and cried and cried for what seems like hours , she screamed like a madwoman .

She cried to such and extent that she didn't think was possible .

She thought

Is this what love feels like
Is this what jealousy feels like
Why am I such a bitch
I'm stupid
Why would Percy want me
With his gorgeous sea green eyes and his eight pack and tanned skin who wouldn't like him ?

She got frustrated at herself again . Instead of being mad at him ,she praises him ??

Why would he want to be with her when he could have anyone ?
I'm up just a stupid dumb blonde , Inez was right
They have nicknames for each other , the next thing to You know he'll break up with me and they'll be getting married

She started crying again .

Then she removed her shoes and walked around the beach

She looked at the waves as she silently cried

She went to the beach because the scent reminded her of Percy , it felt like home

If we do break up , I'll never be able to walk on the beach without thinking of my broken heart again .

Then sshe started crying again and this time , she didn't restrain herself . wrecking , Heartbreaking sobs ran through her body , making her shiver .

She cried and cried and cried , all over a boy with messy windswept hair and sea green eyes , because no one , not even the poets can measure how much the heart can hold .

Her eyes stung from crying , she probably looked like a mess , but that didn't stop her from crying .

She Soon fell asleep , not knowing that the exact same boy she was dreaming about was franctically looking for her .

" annabeth ? "

" annabeth wake up "

" Percy ? " Annabeth mumbled

" no it's me piper "

Annabeth immediately shot up and the first thing she saw was bright sunlight . Her stomach was rumbling and she looked like a mess .

" what happened ? We've been looking all over for you . Do you have any idea how worried Percy is ?! "

" h-he's w-worried a-about me ? " Annabeth asked hopefully

" yes ! "

Annabeth started crying again

" hold up what happened ? Tell me from the start "

Amnesty started telling her Every thing . And till the end she was very angry , she hadn't been this much angry in forever . And you did NOT want to see angry piper . But as soon as she saw her helpless friend , she calmed down

" it's okay , annabeth , just gonna be fine " she said comforting her and hugging her .

Oh , how bad annabeth wished it would be Percy comforting her instead of piper , but she was grateful for what she had . She cried into pipers t-shirt , making it wet. She couldn't help but think

If this were Percy , he wouldn't have gotten wet

But she quickly send that thought away .

Once she was done , piper said

" c'mon let's clean you up it's already 3 "

" I don't need help " Annabeth protested

" says the girl who cried for hours on end "

After a lot of protesting and convincing , annabeth was on the way to pipers house

Piper had already texted everyone that she was safe and in one piece but she also said the boys could not meet her till the dance cause she wasnt in the mood .

Piper told all the girls to rendezvous at her house and all the boys to get out
Once piper and annabeth arrived at her house, piper gave her a fresh pair of clothes to change into once she showered and something to eat .

Once she was done it was 5 and all the girls were there , she told them everything . They were all very pissed and angry at Percy by the end of it , so annabeth decided speak up

" girls we all have a very nice day with an amazing dance planned ahead of us so let's not ruin it . Please ? "

Everyone grumbled a bit but nodded .

Then piper spoke up

" we all should get into our dresses as it's already 5:30 and Aphrodite will come at 6 so chop chop ! "

Everyone nodded as piper handed them their respective dresses .

They all were ready and looked gorgeous . Aphrodite had , in their request done their makeup naturally just how they wanted it . She did Annabeth's makeup a bit more extravagant to hide the bags and puffiness under her eyes.

Overall , everyone looked amazing. Their bad moods had vanished completely only to be left with excitement.

To say Percy wasn't nervous was a big fat lie . She

For starters , he was very worried . About annabeth , after he'd come back from inu's house at 12 , he saw annabeth wasn't home or at pipers or at any of their friends' houses , another hour passes and he decided to look for her .

He looked everywhere ( or he thought he looked everywhere) then he decided to call his friends and search for her . Then after another painful hour passed , he finally got a text from piper saying she was okay and that she found her at the beach .

On top of that , she told him annabeth didn't want to see any boys , especially him . He knew he messed up , but why ? How ? He'd only asked why she didnt like Inez .

He couldn't see why anyone wouldn't like her for that matter .She was so kind and sweet and loving and caring .

She'd even stopped looking at him strangely and said he didnt like him anymore.

So what I'm the name of Poseidon was the problem ??

Anyways , he was too worried about his wise girl than to care about anything else .
He's changed into his tux and was waiting , like all the other guys to pick up his date , he only wished that still wanted to go with him .

Then he thought

Why wouldn't she ? You didn't do anything wrong , right?

He wasn't wearing a tie , annabeth said she would take care about it .

He was pacing around the living room of his apartment when Jason said

" it's time boyz "

so we all went to Jason's house and knocked

Pipers voice said

" come in ! " we all pushed the door open and in a line , looking as gorgeous as ever , we're our dates. We all kept staring at our respective dates till Christian broke the silence and said

" wow , nessa , you look amazing "

" thanks " blushed nessa

Then he walked over to her and said

" shall we ? "

" we shall " she said .

Soon every guy had asked his date to come out except Percy , he just kept staring at annabeth . To say she looked for hours was an understatement. She looked more beautiful than Aphrodite herself .She

Once everyone was out , she said

" hey "

" hey "

" so ? What now ? "

" an-annabeth you look beautiful " he said dead serious staring deep into her eyes .

" Thank you , you also look very handsome "

Percy frowned , this want the annabeth he knew , the annabeth he knew would say something sassy , like ' you dont look bad yourself ' or would step forward , kiss his cheeks and ruffle his hair or she would At leeast come up of some clever answer. So he didn't know what to do , he never came across this annabeth .

So she repeated her question

" what now ? "

" I guess we go to the dance " he said , offering his hand .

She took it only to leave it again .

" wait , your tie "

She handed him a tie to tie ( bad pun , I know ) that matched the maroon colors in her dress.

After a few minutes of struggling , she took the tie from his hand and tied it , just like she did in high school .

" there , done " she said proudly

She then became aware of the face that there was less than and inch of distance between them and their foreheads were almost touching. She could feel the warmth of his breath and wanted to kiss him so bad , but something held her back .

Maybe he doesn't want to kiss me ?

Little did she know , he wants the exact same thing as her but he couldn't resist much longer so he said

" can I ? "

annabeth nodded

So Percy kissed her , and it was amazing , beautiful , and something they both longed for so very long . Annabeth promised herself she wouldn't hesitate to kiss him ever again , but little did she know , that promise would be broken , and that too , very soon
