"Annabeth Chase. Describe Annabeth Chase. Well, I'll tell you one thing, that girl can be scary when she wants to. It's funny, because when I first met her, I would get scared if she acted all intimidating, because you never knew what she could do to you. Now, I know what she's capable of. And yes, she still scares me.

"When she's not scaring people off, she's a big softie. (Don't ever tell her I said that.) On our first quest to the underworld, she got teary over Cerberus, because he had no one to play with him. If I ever said that to her face, she'd probably kill me. But honestly? It's an amazing trait. I wouldn't trade that part of her for anything.

"And gods, is she brave. She never runs from a fight, and was ready to take on a quest at twelve years old (meanwhile, I was dreading it). I still can't get over how much she's gotten us through.

"And don't even get me started on those curls. They're straight from Apollo, golden and princessy––minus the haikus. Annabeth's eyes are crazy, too. Like an abyss, staring into your soul. At least, that's what her enemies say. When I look into her eyes, it's like getting lost in a storm. But a good storm.

"When she thinks, her eyebrows get all furrowed, and her lips push together until you think she's about to burst. Then, she gets all smarty-pants and saves the day.

"Sometimes, it's hard to remember her fatal flaw––pride. She's always wanted to make Athena proud, and it's easy to understand where she gets her pride from. Her mom can be stubborn. Annabeth works her butt off––designing Olympus, helping build camp––and Athena doesn't even address it. It makes Annabeth even stronger, because with Athena, you have to be tough.

"Annabeth and I are a package deal, and the best thing about her is that she knows it. We stick together, she supports me, and I support her. It's the best thing in my life, our relationship. It's kept us going.

"Even when she's facing the most terrifying thing, she holds her head high and pushes through. I can't even pick out a thing that flaws her. To me, she's perfect.

"Again, don't tell her I said it. She'd kick my butt."
