Time

Our favorite demigods go back in time 😝. Tried to not make it cliche, it's mostly going to be for laughs.

Leo, Jason, Piper, Frank, and Hazel had been walking through camp when it happened.

Leo had just finished telling his story about the time he had built a mini merry-go-round out of pencils, marbles, paper clips, and rubber bands as a child.

"My classmates loved it but the teacher definitely didn't. Said it was a 'distraction'." Leo snorted.

Around that time the campers around them seemed to be thinning. The teenagers, however, didn't notice as they were deep into telling stories about irritating teachers and didn't notice as the campers literally faded like ghosts when they walked past the group.

They were in the middle of the main cluster of cabins when they finally looked around, noticing the absence of life around them. Jason's mouth opened then closed as a silent confusion spread over them.

"Um, where is everybody?" Frank asked, taking Hazel's hand protectively. His eyes had gone dark and had an animal-like sheen to them.

"I don't know..." Jason looked around. The group exchanged glances and made a quiet decision. They continued forward, their hands on their weapons. Or, in Leo's case, his hands held in front of him as he prepared to summon fire if needed.

They were leaving the U of cabins when a loud noise ahead of them jarred them. The door to the Poseidon cabin jerked open and a kid rushed out, barefoot, with his hoodie half on in his hurry.

He got halfway across the courtyard when he noticed them and his dark eyebrows scrunched together.

"Who're you?" He asked, slipping his other arm through his sweatshirt and pulling it down.

He looked about ten years old, short and lanky with messy hair and a missing tooth. His eyes were sea-green, a color that everyone in the group was familiar with.

"Okay, when did Percy have a kid and why didn't he tell us?" Leo asked. Then, he clicked his tongue, "Ooh, I knew some spicy stuff went down in the stables!"

Frank turned bright red, "Leo! There's a kid right there!"

"What're you guys talking about?" The kid asked, looking at them as if they had three heads each.

"Well he obviously isn't Percy's kid. He's, like, nine." Piper pointed out.

"Twelve!"

"Whatever. Must be Percy's little brother."

"What? There's another dude named Percy here? And he's my brother?"

Everyone looked over to him again and Jason's lip curled into a snarl.

"The gods." He groaned, "Guys, that's not Percy's little brother..."

"No, it's not!" The kid agreed, his eyebrows scrunching together, "I'm Percy."

Percy and Annabeth had been in the sword arena when they noticed their fellow demigods start to fade around them. The two leapt to their feet immediately, wielding their weapons with their backs to each other as they watched what happened.

"What the Hades?" Percy breathed, subconsciously reaching over to put a finger through Annabeth's belt loop to assure himself that she wasn't going to disappear too. The Stoll brothers vanished right in front of him, the echo of their laughter still vibrating even after they were gone.

"Di Immortales..." Annabeth muttered, "What is happening?" Her new knife was still slightly awkward in her grip, she had been so used to her perfectly balanced blade that it was foreign to hold a weapon other than it, and it made her uneasy that it was the only choice she had at the moment.

They were alone in a matter of seconds. They both stood perfectly still, however, conscious of every single noise.

"It has to be the gods." Annabeth whispered.

"No doubt." Percy agreed, "But where did everyone go? And why did they fade?"

The two exchanged a worried glance then started to quietly creep out of the arena. Percy had the hem of Annabeth's shirt between his fingers now and, even though she felt it unnecessary, she was just as comforted to know that he was there as he was to know she was there.

The first thing they saw was an empty camp. The second thing they saw was a small girl with grey eyes and blonde hair. Percy stopped short but Annabeth completely overlooked her, assuming it to be one of her siblings.

"Whoa..." He muttered, "That's not right..."

"What's going on?" Annabeth ignored him, asking the girl.

"What? Shouldn't I be the one asking you that question?" The girl crossed her arms, glaring.

"Hey..." Percy muttered, tugging Annabeth's sleeve. She glanced at him.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Don't you know who that is?" He questioned, pulling Annabeth away slightly. The girl patiently waited as a response. "Wise Girl, I'd know her anywhere." He said softly, waiting for her to catch on.

She didn't. Instead, her eyebrows furrowed and she glanced over at the girl.

"Look at her necklace." Percy suggested. Annabeth glanced over at the girl once again and her eyes widened at the sight of a leather necklace with six beads on it, a gold ring in the middle.

"Gods," It clicked, "No, it can't be." She shook her head. She looked down as she thought. Also because she was embarrassed that she didn't realize it even though it wasn't her fault. The younger Annabeth was a lot more baby-faced than the older Annabeth and looked almost entirely different. But Annabeth was also kind of embarrassed at the way Percy put it, "I'd know her anywhere." And he'd said it with the beginnings of a smirk that made her cheeks warm.

"Are you guys gonna explain yourselves?" The young girl asked. Heck, even her voice was different than now. Pretty much the only thing that hadn't changed with Annabeth's appearance as she aged was her eyes, and that was the key factor of how Percy figured out who the girl was. He'd stared at her enough when he was younger, not only after he started liking her but when they went on quests and he leaned on her plans and strategies to get them through whichever puzzle, to be able to spot her in a jam-packed room with no difficulty or to distinguish between her and her siblings without even seeing her face.

"It's complicated." Percy smiled, answering her question.

"Very very complicated." Annabeth agreed, "Where's everyone?"

"Why should I tell you?" The girl snapped, eyebrows furrowing.

"Um... Because we're the adults here." Percy tried. Annabeth sent him a frustrated look.

"Because the gods have just messed up." She huffed, looking at her younger self, "Big time."
