IM gone wrong

(P.S. Privacy is dead. Especially for your modern-day demigods.)

~Percy's POV~

My mom had gone out for groceries, leaving Annabeth and me by ourselves. We were alone, for the first time in ages. Which was why we were watching TV.

Yup, we sat on the couch and watched TV. Because that's what you do when you're alone with your girlfriend.

I wasn't really bothered about this. It's just that Annabeth and I hadn't spent a lot of quality time together. And I'd much rather we did something more interesting than watch TV. Yes, that's right people, there's something in this world Percy Jackson finds more interesting than watching TV.

"Are you gonna say something? Or are you just gonna keep staring?"

Annabeth raised an eyebrow at me. I hadn't even realized it until she pointed it out.

"Uh... duh?"

I mean, can you blame me? With her honey blonde hair tumbling down her back, her extra sparkly grey eyes, and that general area is known as her beautiful face, she just looked so pretty today. (Not that she looked less pretty on other days or something, she was always awesome.)

She laughed at my response. Clearly, I was getting really good at that special skill where people find you hilarious even when you're not trying to be.

"Gosh Seaweed Brain. Maybe try using some actual words." She smiled at me, very amused by my inability to form a coherent reply.

"Do you maybe want to do something else?" I suggested, "TV is kinda boring."

"Oh is that so?" Annabeth countered, "Well what do you want to do?"

"Umm... I can think of something more interesting..." I trailed off, unsure of how to phrase what I really wanted us to do.

"Like?"

"Well, it'd be more interactive," I not-so-subtly hinted.

"Hmm..." She nodded thoughtfully.

I awaited her response in suspense. I was pretty sure she would go for it, and I was certain she knew what I was hinting at- it's the plus side of dating a daughter of Athena, they pick up on these subtle suggestions.

She pursed her lips, cautiously delivering her response. "Well, I suppose we could give it a go..."

"So, yes?"

She smirked knowingly, "Let's go to your room and find out."

I was right by the way. The answer was yes.

We entered my room, Annabeth shut the door behind us and faced me. I wanted to kiss her right away. So badly. If it was possible she looked even prettier than before. (I know. Screw what I said earlier- clearly, there are days when Annabeth is pretty, and there are days when she is insanely pretty.)

It was one of those insanely pretty days, which also meant it was insanely hard to resist the urge to kiss my girlfriend.

"Well Seaweed Brain?" She looked at me expectantly, her grey eyes inviting.

I had no clue why I said what I said, but I guess I just wanted to be sure? I didn't want to get the wrong idea. So obviously, I just had to ruin the moment by asking:

"Wait, we're gonna make out, right?"

She rolled her eyes. "My gods Percy! What else?!"

Hey, in my defense, Annabeth looked the same way at architecture the same way she looked at me. It was entirely possible she thought I was going to ask her about a famous building.

Well anyway, I gave up. So before I could ruin it any further, I kissed her.

She kissed me back and then, she slapped me.

"Ow!" I said, rubbing the side of my face. "Why'd you do that?"

"That's for being stupid." She explained, "And this-"

She kissed me again.

"This is for suggesting an awesome activity."

"Well, I'm glad you think so." I smiled sweetly and she smiled back before I fell back onto the bed. I pulled Annabeth down with me, making her shriek.

We kissed, our legs tangled together. Annabeth lay on top of me, her hands in my hair as I held her waist, keeping her balanced. Our lips moved in sync, and I was enjoying it tremendously. Kissing Annabeth was my favorite thing, my brain felt like it was melting.

Our lips stayed connected, even as we readjusted ourselves, so we were both on our sides. I curled her hair around my fingers, savoring every moment. It wasn't often we got to do this, we were rarely alone and we had to take advantage of any opportunities we got. Besides, we deserved it. Saving the world twice must earn you some form of privacy with your girlfriend. Right?

And of course, I was wrong. Surprise, surprise.

Two minutes into our make-out session, someone gasped- except, it wasn't Annabeth because her mouth was very much occupied, and it certainly wasn't me.

We pulled away, and at the foot of my bed, was literally my worst nightmare: Chiron.

In the form of an Iris Message, the old centaur was in his natural form, standing inside the Big House, a pure shock plastered on his face.

For a second, nobody said anything. We just stared.

"Um, Chiron..." Annabeth started to say, "We-"

"Nope! Sorry to intrude- never mind!" Chiron averted his eyes away from us and hurriedly slashed his hand across. The image dissolved.

Annabeth groaned. "Oh. My. Gods."

I still hadn't said anything. She buried her face in my pillow, "That was the most embarrassing thing. Ever"

"We should have watched TV," She mumbled into the pillow.

I wanted to laugh, but I knew it wouldn't go down well. Having overcome my initial shock, I found it kind of funny.

"I mean, it's really not that bad Annabeth, it could've been worse."

"That's not helping!" She threw the pillow in my face. It hurt less than the slap.

My awesome girlfriend sulked, as she sat on the edge of the bed, her arms crossed. I adjusted myself so I sat by her. Her curly hair was messy and hung down by the sides of her face. I watched as she blew a strand out of her mouth, "So what do you want to do now?"

Annabeth turned to face me, she sighed. "I don't know Percy, what do you wanna do?"

I was wary of the face she was making, she was giving me a hint. She pursed her lips, hopefully. Expectantly. The same way she did earlier and I hoped I was right about what she was hinting at. Because it would have gotten a lot worse if I had the wrong idea.

But heck, I'd been in plenty of near-death scenarios before, how was this any different?

I leaned forward and kissed her, my hand cupping the side of her face. Annabeth adjusted her legs, moving them out of the way, making it more comfortable for the both of us. We deepened the kiss, and I tried my hardest not to smile, I was glad we wouldn't let some stupid IM ruin our afternoon.

I don't know how much time passed, but eventually, we lay back down on the bed, still kissing and cuddling. Annabeth's hands had found their way to my hair again. (She must have really liked my hair huh?)

I was so content, with Annabeth here, I could have stayed like that forever. So obviously, someone had to ruin it.

"Ahem." We turned. Both of us breathless, our hair in a mess, and our legs still intertwined.

Oh, I almost forgot. And, we were blushing like crazy.

A few meters away from us, stood another IM. Really?! Jason Grace took up most of the screen, though we could see Piper in the background.

Piper was trying her hardest not to laugh, her hands glued over her mouth, yet her body still shook with giggles. Jason tried his best to play it cool, he looked down at the papers in his hand.

"Um. So..." He squinted at the sheet on top, "Annabeth. Um, we need to discuss this temple of uh, Hecate, I want to install..."

Annabeth shook her head, horrified. "No. No, no, no. I'm sorry Jason, I just can't do this right now."

She moved towards the image and waved her hand through. As it dissolved, Piper finally let loose- her laughter filling my bedroom.

Somehow, that was worse than Chiron's. And I was annoyed. Could we not have some privacy? Was it really that hard for two demigods?

Annabeth turned back to me however, determination spread across her face. "Now, where were we?"

I gaped at her. I was not expecting Annabeth to play it cool at all- if anything, I thought she was about to freak out. What can I say? My girlfriend is awesome.

She stopped, standing right in front of me. I smirked. "I believe we were-"

We kissed and fell back down onto the bed. Annabeth giggled with delight, as I rolled onto my back, pulling her on top of me.

We picked up where we left off, her hands weaving their way through my messy hair. I held the back of her head, pulling her as close as possible.

I was in heaven. (It's really not as amazing once you've been there a couple of times.) And I was loving it.

However, our privacy was short-lived. Because then, we heard someone from the edge of my bed, again.

"Um, I'm really sorry guys, but something really important has-"

"NO!

I was bored so I wrote this!
