Homecoming

We're gonna pretend the whole Giant War was in Greece, okay? And it's kind of a Dark!Percabeth fanfic but not like others. You may not see the dark side in the beginning but it will slowly come out. Just wait and see.

All the demigods from Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter got teleported back to Camp Half-Blood by Zeus before The Seven did. They boarded the Argo II after they talked to their parents except for Percy and Annabeth who stood in a dark corner in the temple.

"Okay, guys! Wash up then we're leaving." Piper explained to the rest of the crew as they boarded their ship.

Everyone dispersed to their rooms and all took a shower to wash all the grime and blood off themselves.

After Percy's shower he slipped on some blue sport shorts and a simple black hoodie. He looked in the mirror at himself to see his eyes cracked like broken glass. Memories of Tartarus and the War showed up in his mind and his eyes filled with tears. He blinked them away because heroes don't cry.

Percy lifted his hood and slipped it over his head. He tied his tennis shoes before walking to Annabeth's room, his head hanging low. Once he knocked Annabeth opened the door.

"Hi, Seaweed Brain." She said and closed the door after he walked in. Percy looked at his girlfriend. She wore leggings and a dark orange Camp Half-Blood sweatshirt. Her hood was also pulled over her blonde curly hair. Her hands were in the pockets and on her feet were black converse. He looked up at her face to see tear stains on her cheeks.

He rushed over to her and cupped her face in his hands. "What happened?" He demanded. She placed her hands on his wrists and pulled his hands away from her face.

"Nothing." Annabeth said, her eyes turning a dark shade of grey.

"Annabeth.." Percy warned, his eyes turning a darker shade of sea-green.

"Flashback. I'm fine though." Annabeth said.

"Okay." Percy wrapped his arms around her and Annabeth buried her face in his chest. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Annabeth whispered before pulling away as they heard Piper shout.

"We're landing at Camp Half-Blood!" Piper shouted.

Annabeth looked at Percy and he nodded. Annabeth grabbed his hand and laced their fingers together loosely. "Ready?" She asked.

"Yup. As long as we're together." Then they went to meet the rest of The Seven by the doors.

The Seven turned their heads as they heard footsteps. There stood Percy and Annabeth looking as on guard and depressed as ever. They all decided just to leave the two alone because they didn't want to get snapped at.

Outside of the Argo II the Greeks and Romans were surrounding the front of the ship a few yards away. Chiron galloped up. "Heroes! I welcome you back," Chiron motioned to the ship. "The Heroes Of Olympus!" The demigods cheered but then calmed down as the doors to the Argo opened.

"Announce them!" An Aphrodite camper shouted.

"Um, Okay." Chiron said. "Piper McLean." Piper walked out and smiled at everyone brightly while waving.

"It's sure good to be home." Piper sighed as she looked around.

"Jason Grace." Jason strolled out of the Argo II and waved at everyone very professionally.

"Hello my fellow comrades!" He exclaimed.

"Hazel Levesque." Hazel shyly came out of the ship and waved before going to stand by Piper. "Frank Zhang." Frank came out, waved, and stood by Hazel with blushed cheeks.

"Hey, guys." Frank said awkwardly.

"And now, our favorite Daughter of Athena and Son of Poseidon." Chiron said with a smile, excited to see his favorite campers. "Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson."

The two demigods slowly walked out of the ship, their hands loosely laced together. People started to cheer until they saw their eyes.

Annabeth's wasn't a light liquid grey like storm like they used to be. They were a dark shade of grey like a cloud in a thunderstorm and cracked like a shattered window.

Percy's eyes weren't that vibrant sea-green everyone loved. They didn't shine in the sunlight or ripple like waves. They were a dark green and cracked like Annabeth's.

The campers also noticed to how pale they looked. Not even a little bit tan and dark circles under their eyes.

Percy and Annabeth stood in the middle, not off to the side like the rest of The Seven. The young couple looked depressed. Very depressed. Very very depressed. And angry. They looked angry too and not at anyone in particular. They were very lugubrious.

"No smiles?" An Apollo kid asked in the crowd. "You guys used to never stop smiling!" Percy's head snapped towards the boy while Annabeth lowered her head and glared at the ground.

"Why would we smile? We have nothing to smile about." Percy snapped.

"Geez, okay, chill dude. I'm just messing around." The blonde Apollo kid raised his hands in surrender.

"Okay, campers! Dinner is in an hour. Do whatever you want except no leaving the borders!" Chiron announced before galloping away to the Big House.

Annabeth and Percy were headed to the Poseidon Cabin when they were stopped by the Stolls. "Percy! Annabeth!"

"What?" Annabeth snapped.

"Well, we were just wondering if you guys have any pranking advise." Travis asked.

"You're asking us for pranking advice?" Annabeth gave a sarcastic laugh.

"Well if we were gonna pull on on you. What prank would not get us killed?" Conner looked at the two scarred demigods.

Annabeth smiled. Not a warm smile. Not a smile you give when you think something is funny. Not an annoyed smile. A dark, cold, menacing smile. Her eyes turned darker than usual. "I suggest.. you don't try anything with us unless you want to be killed." Percy looked at his girlfriend with a smirk. Then the couple turned around and stepped into the Poseidon Cabin.

"Uh..." Travis looked at his brother. "Did you see that?"

"Yeah.. something happened to them when they were gone." Conner replied.

"Yeah." Travis said but then a smirk appeared on his face. "Or what if they're just trying to scare us?"

"Yeah. That's it. Now I got the perfect prank planned for Annabeth at dinner." The Stolls then ran to their cabin.

Now, back in the Poseidon Cabin Percy was splayed out on his bed while Annabeth sat beside the bed, knees pulled up to her chest with her arms wrapped around them, and she was rocking back and forth as she mumbled.

"Tartarus...Bob...Doors of Death...Akhlys.. Scared.." Annabeth let out a few tears. "Damasen...Blind...Abandoned...Mist...Corpse." She kept mumbling to herself.

"Would you stop? It's creepy." Percy said as nicely as possible while he just stared into space.

"Hurt...Abandoned...Glass...Misery...Couldn't breathe...Poison...Falling..Arachne.." Annabeth mumbled, eyes glazed over. Percy sighed and knelt in front of Annabeth and shook her.

"Annabeth! Stop! You're creeping me out!" She continued so he shouted. "ANNABETH!" Her eyes cleared and she stared at Percy with wide eyes. He shook his head and backed away.

"I-I'm sorry." He said. "I don't know where that came from."

"It's fine." Annabeth stood and wrapped her arms around Percy's waist. She looked up at him and her eyes filled with tears. "What's happening to us?"

"Huh?" Percy wrapped his arms around her upper back.

"It's like we left Tartarus but a part of it is still in us." Annabeth stared up at him with wide eyes.

"Well, of course it did. We can't just expect to leave that place with no dark side." Percy shrugged. "Everyone has a dark side. Besides, it will fade over time." Annabeth nodded and unwrapped her arms before stepping into his bathroom and looking at herself in the mirror. She pulled down her hood and covered her mouth.

"Oh my gods." She said. Percy ran in.

"What? Are you- Oh gods." He said staring at her.

"Percy, pull down your hood." He did and they gasped. "What? But-how?!"

"I don't know." Percy squinted his eyes at his reflection. "Maybe all the stress caused it."

"Four streaks of grey hair, Percy! Four!" Annabeth exclaimed, putting her hood back up quickly.

"Um, they'll fade just like our old one, right?" Percy pulled up his hood.

"Well I sure hope so." Her eyes glinted evilly. "Or I'm going to kill anyone who caused me stress." Percy's eyes flashed dangerously and he nodded.

"Me too." Then the bell at the pavilion donged and they snapped out of their daze. "What the-"

"I don't even care at this point." Annabeth grabbed his hand and they walked to the pavilion.

Percy stepped into the pavilion and watched Annabeth step into only to have a bucket of spiders dump onto her head. Thankfully they were fake, but she didn't know that.

Instead of screaming like everyone thought she would, her eyes clouded over, she stood straight, and started mumbling. "Arachne...Spiders...Tartarus...Arachne...Pulled me down...Her fault..."

Percy sighed and shook her. "ANNABETH." Her eyes cleared then flashed.

"Who did this?" She asked gesturing to the fake spiders. No one answered. "I SAID, WHO DID THIS?" She boomed. Still no one answered.

"ANSWER HER!" Percy roared, his eyes flashing dangerously. No one answered and the couple smirked at each other. "Fine, be that way."

They broke out of their daze and stared at each other worriedly. They got their food and sat down next to each other. Annabeth laid her hooded head on his shoulder.

"Annabeth?" Chiron said. "You have to sit with your siblings." Annabeth turned to him and her eyes grew darker.

"No." She said lowly. It even creeped Chiron out that he just slowly backed away.

After dinner, Percy and Annabeth quickly went to the Poseidon cabin to get some sleep. After changing into some pajamas, they crawled into bed and snuggled up. Annabeth buried her face in his chest as he tightened his arms around her. They soon fell asleep.

-----------------

When morning came, Annabeth was the first one awake. She looked back at Percy to see him drooling a little on his pillow. She smiled the first real smile since Tartarus.

Annabeth changed out of her pajamas and slipped on grey joggers and a black sweatshirt. She sat on the edge of the bed and ran her hands through Percy's jet black hair. "Percy."

"Hmm?" He rubbed his eyes and sat up.

"It's breakfast." She said, kissing his forehead.

"Mkay." He got out of bed and put on black joggers with a blue sweatshirt and pulled the hoodie over his hair just like Annabeth did. They brushed their teeth then headed to the pavilion.

Once they got their food they sat down but a new Aphrodite girl sat in front of them. Annabeth looked up at her and rolled her eyes. "What do you want?"

"Your boyfriend." She replied.

"Touch him and I will rip you to shreds." Annabeth said menacingly and the girl backed off immediately.

When they were walking back to the cabin they were stopped by a bunch of Ares kids. "Why do you always have your hoods up?"

"That is none of your business." Percy said.

"I don't know.. take them off." One of them said, Derek was his name.

"No." Annabeth said.

"Why?"

"No reason." She replied.

"Then it wouldn't matter if we did." Then Annabeth's hood was pulled down and they all started laughing.

"Oh my gods! You look like an old lady!" Derek barked out a laugh only to get a punch in the face. "What the Hades, Jackson!"

"Do NOT talk to my girlfriend like that. Or call her that." Percy said, getting right up in his face. An evil glint in his eyes. "Do you understand."

"Yes." Derek said.

"Good." Percy said then pointed rip tide at him. "If you ever talk to her like that again you won't be alive see the next day." Then Percy walked away laughing to himself, creepily. Annabeth followed with a crazy smirk on her face.

The demigods watched them walk off to who knows where. They all agreed on one thing,

Percy and Annabeth had gone through something tragic that took their old selves away. They were all going to help get the old Percy and Annabeth back.

A couple years later Camp Half-Blood did fulfill that goal. The grey streaks were gone, they were tan again, the smiles were back, and their eyes shone.

Percy and Annabeth were back.

The End. This creeped me out a little.
