I woke up rubbing my eyes.

"Good morning sweetheart,"mom said mixing something which looked to me like a medicine.

"Good morning,"I said looking at the alarm clock.

I was late for school!

I quickly got out of the bed.

"Why didn't you wake me up mom?"I said removing the blankets.

Mom placed her hands on my shoulder and laid me back on the bed.

"You are not going to go in this fever,"mom said giving me the medicine.

"But what about all the notes?"I said drinking the bitter solution.

"Your friend Hazel called in the morning.She told that she would come after school and give you all the notes."

I laid back in my bed as mom exited my room.

Percy's word kept repeating in my head and moments of yesterday.

I got up and walked in the washroom.I looked at my face.The smudged mascara,which made my eyes completely black.

I walked in the shower and took a bath.

I changed into my sweatpants and changed in a loose t-shirt.

"Nina what do you want to eat?"mom asked coming in.

"What's in breakfast?"I asked.

"Skillet Sausage & Potato Hash."

"I'll also have it."

"Ok.Take rest,"mom said getting out of the room.

After a few minutes mom entered with breakfast.

"Thanks mom,"I said handing her the empty plate.

(4 hours later)

"May I come in?"a voice came from outside my door.

I got up and sat straight.

"Come in,"I said and the door creaked open.

"How are you feeling Annie?"Luke came and sat next to me on the bed.

"Much better,"I said as he placed his arms around me.

There was an awkward silence between us.

"So how was school?"I said breaking the silence.

"Boring because you weren't there,"Luke said giving me a small peck on the cheek.

"Aww.Somebody missed me?"I said sticking my tongue out.

"Everybody but something was wrong with Percy,"Luke said sounding a bit more serious.

I couldn't tell Luke that yesterday the fight between me and Percy was because of him.

"Deep in thoughts huh?"Luke asked.

"No nothing,"I shifted my gaze from Luke's face to the blanket.

"What did you and Percy have a fight on yesterday?"

"Nothing,"I said making up an excuse in my mind.

Just then Hazel came in like a life saver.

"Sorry,"she said closing the door again.

Luke got up.

"I should get going.Will you come tomorrow?"

"I don't know.It's confusing."

"Ok.I hope you would be back,"he said giving me one last kiss.

I could hear Hazel and Luke greeting each other and Hazel entered the room.

"What was he doing here?"Hazel said placing a stack of notebooks on my table.

"What do you mean?He's my boyfriend,"I said as Hazel sat beside me.

"Sorry I forgot.Tell me the fight of yesterday."

I narrated the whole incident of yesterday.

"I think Percy loves you,"Hazel said in a small voice.

I quickly turned towards her.

"What the hell?I am in a relationship!"

"I know but you can't stop loving a person whether they are in a relationship."

"I don't believe you."

"You won't but Percy was in a very unusual mood.Listen girl, I have told you and Percy has also told you that Luke's a player.I don't want your heart to be played from hand to hand.Be careful,"she said hugging me.

I hugged her back.

"I will make sure."

"I should get going.Bye."

I nodded my head as Hazel left the room.

I checked my phone.

"People don't know what is wrong and right for them."
